I synced photos between Ovi Suite and my E51. However I deleted the pics from Ovi Suite but the pics are still there in my E51.When I sync photos now, it syncs new photos but not the old ones (that I deleted from Ovi suite but not from mobile).How do I get Ovi suite to sync the old photos?

Hi Just updated to Ovi suite v2.2 and it recognizes my phone BUT here's what happened: 1. Connected N97 2. Device driver software installed successfully 3. Ovi suite recognizes phone 4. When i try to sync to back up or do anything for that matter, stupid message keeps appearing: "Please change the usb mode on your device to ovi suite or pc suite mode" My phone is always in pc suite mode. No option on phone for ovi suite mode. Firmware version 21.2.045 Tried switching phone to offline mode, disconnecting and reconnecting phone and nothing happens.

View 8 Replies View RelatedHi, I just upgraded to the Ovi Suite 2.2.0.241 and I'm still unable to sync with Outlook 2010. When I go to the Tools->Options->Device Sync, Calendar doesn't appear in the list. Also, when I select Options->Calendar and Tasks, it says I need to have Outlook installed.
I'm running Outlook 2010 on Windows 7 with the latest patches, and trying to sync with a Nokia N97 with the latest firmware installed.
Is Ovi suite meant to modify every photo on my computer?
I installed it today and found that my computer was running really slow. After a couple of hours of this I realised that it was scanning every photo under My Pictures (about 50GB of them). I don't really want to sync these with my phone, so I gather there's no point in having Ovi suite scan them. I went through the menu (Tools->Options->Photos) and changed the photos folders location to stop this (it required a few restarts, but it stopped scanning).
All the photos it had already scanned were sill in the photos tab of Ovi suite so I deleted them. I then tried to delete them from the "Deleted photos" section (without deleting them from the hard drive) but this again started thrashing my hard drive and was taking a very long time.
I went to look at my photos and noticed the the modified time on a lot had changed (I sometimes use the last modified time to order my photos). What has been modifying my photos!!
I compared one of the photos with a backup and they look the same but there are differences in the actual file data.

Why is Ovi Suite modifying all my photos?
I have a problem with ovi suite 2.1.1.1... when syncing photos it automatically syncs videos as well. This is basically OK, but the problem is: not only my own recorded videos are synced, but also video podcasts which I have downloaded on my phone, and any other videos I might have put on my sd-card.This is sometimes a few hundred megabytes, so it always takes ages to synchronize my photos.Is there a way to make Ovi Suite sync only pictures, not videos? Or is it possible to only sync videos that were recorded on the phone itself, not downloaded podcasts etc.?

Unfortunately, they have not been backed up and its just typical that I was only recently planning to upload them onto my laptop.
Is there any way I can retrieve them? By maybe using a file recovery software or from the phone itself.
I connected my iphone to my computer and manually deleted iphone photos via the computer File Manager.Â
I did not have any backup.Â
From what I have read, it is possible to recover the photos (ie, "don't use the iphone so the data is overwritten") but I have zero idea how to do that.Â

I have set up the camera settings on my E55 to store pictures on the memory card.Now, after transferring those I wanted onto my computer's HD, I deleted most of the photos from the card (in Windows Explorer). However, when I go to 'gallery' on my phone (with the memory card inside), these files can still be seen - i.e., their names and sizes (but not the images). I cannot seem to be able to delete these entries from the phone's interface.

I used it both with USB cable and BTooth. First my synchronization with Lotus Notes calendar stopped (have to go by the PC), then contacts and messages. View 9 Replies View Relatedif i delete an email on my handheld it does not delete from my actual gmail account. in fact, it doesnt even say that its read. well, on the computer next to inbox it doesnt say any are new, but when i look at the inbox, i still have the emails and it shows them bolded like they were not read at all. when i delete on my bb, nothing happens to gmail. i tried deleting my gmail address from my phone, resending service books, battery pulls but none of that has resolved. i made sure that handheld wins was set to on under wireless reconciliation and in the VZW BIS control/email settings i have it set to sync deleted emails.
i tried fooling around with the contact sync a few days ago but stopped it becaues it wasnt working (this is the only new thing ive done with my bb in the last week or so). i also downoaded the new socialbeat app from verizon/iskoot. but other than that nothing is new in the last few days. i am running driphters 6.3 on top of whatever OS its supp to be installed on (.484 i think?). dont just jump to that as the problem because i have had it for almost a month and have not had a problem until now (that i tried that stupid contact sync bullsht).

Whenever I try to sync my contacts from my BB to my Mac Book, it always deletes a random number of my contacts and syncs whatever it didn't delete. I have not selected the "Replace all contacts from this BlackBerry device" yet it still deletes my contacts upon every sync! I even removed all my contacts from my Mac and attempted a fresh backup to avoid these random deletions but still the same.
