Anna was fine you said it is an upgraded one but it is worst. . Why you people release these firmware before checkin it. . No support to many a applications which are very popular. . No tv out put.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI played around with the HDMI output, after installing the new version of Nokia Big Screen. The video quality was miserable (I have a 720p demo video from Philips for testing purpose). I thought it was from Big Screen application, so I uninstalled it, but there was no change.
In short the screen is way too overscan (part of menu goes out of screen), the TV output format switch in Accessories has no effect (was this active only for analog output ? can't remember and I don't have an analog cable at hand to check), but the worst thing is the video quality is horrible for a HD image, resolution seems to be low, outlines are exaggerated and the contrast is too high, like the tonal range is missing.
I tried on two different brands LCD TV displays and on one of them on both native HDMI and DVI-compatible input HDMI. At the same time connecting my PC to the DVI-compatible input and playing the same video shows a perfect image.
I barely recall that the image was very good before, but I have my N8 only ~1,5 months old so perhaps I have not accumulated much experience on this. Still, even without background, I qualify the actual image quality as "miserable". What HD? Looks worse than SD.
When I plug in my earphones, there is no sound output from the FM radio. Walkman app works fine so its not the jack or earphones. The FM app shows that the radio is on but there is no sound. I really don't want to factory reset..
View 7 Replies View Relatedi got a nokia n8 from singapore ....so it should be region free...n i got mobilicity .......the thing is that i can call people i can text ....i can use my internet browser .....but i can't use aplications that require internet !!!! for example a facebook app ...after i open it it says no connection ...even though im able to browse the web +_+.....is this a config problem or is it just because mobilicity is just incompatible with the nokia n8 ?

View 14 Replies View RelatedI had just bought my N900, but I'm surprised that when I playing any mp3 or when assigning a ringetone, the sound output or volume is so low,Comparing with my old one N95. yes it's extremely low..while trying to decrease the volume and mark it to be like 25%, it will be zero sound output.i have downloaded a new media player with equalizer, nothing new, same low volume and i guess it's not related to media player, as if someone dialing me the ring tone also is very low.

I have downloaded the newest version of PCC, so it's not that. Driving my crazy as I only got this phone 5 weeks ago, but my boyfriend got the same phone 2 days ago and he can do more and appears to have 'a better phone' than I do!

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm on my second 900 now and both have had this problem. The output volume for the headphones is extremely low even at 30/30. I feel like max volume should be loud enough that I never need to use it. I find myself not even being able to hear music at 30/30 when I'm downtown or on the subway. It feels like medium volume on anything else and it seems like it should really be 20/30.
I've posted this on other forums and it seems like all the phones are the same. Can Nokia just implement a simple sofware fix for this? Its riduclous that this got through the testing phase. Do they even know about it?
I've started getting the following message whenever I try to launch the Facebook app on my N97 mini: "Error retrieving news feed: is not valid in table stream". Coincidentally, this happened on the same day that I was moved over to the new look facebook.

It must come from the AC-15E charger shipped with the phone, since I tried the AC-8E charger from my previous phone (a C5-00 5MP) and the charging then worked. Yet before sending the phone back to the seller, I would like to be sure that the shipped charger is just faulty and that it does not come from anything else.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm not sure if this has already been identified, but this is my second phone which had the similar issue.I purchased n8 on nov1 2010, by feb2011 I noticed a black dot on the camera screen which would reflect on any photo takenI got a replacement piece which I had the camera issue resolved but had some sensor rotation issue, I replaced 3 phones for the sensor rotation issue and it took 2months for me to make NOKIA care people understand what is the issue on the sensor.Finally I got a right phone in the month of may..Sensor and camera are working good.Now again by oct2011 I had started up with the camera black dot on the left side of the camera screen...and now I was told by the CARE that they rectified the issue and they will return the same phone by this weekend(hopefully it might have been fixed)
I was just wondering if any had faced this similar issue for the camera or is it only my luck.I'm really unsatisfied and worried now since my warranty period will be finished this month end and what if the same camera issue starts after 4months, and I'm really not sure why the phone has not been replaced even under warranty(I need to wait until I get a call from care)

Restarted the phone, still not work, did a reset on the phone (held power button till it vibrated), still not working. When I press on the camera button it gives the message (Camera Feature not Supported). I played many tricks with it but of no use. I reset my phone to the original factory setting through (*#7370#) and Multi-finger process but of no help. I even reinstalled the updated version but the problem still persists. My camera worked fine before the update but now it gives the said message and the phone hanges up on pressing the camera button. I request nokia developers to help fix this problem and check their updates for buge before uploading them to the server to save users from problems & worries.
