I updated my Nokia N96 to the new firmware version 30.033 after which my phone camera is not working. When I press on the camera button it gives the message (Camera Feature not Supported). I played many tricks with it but of no use. I reset my phone to the original factory setting through (*#7370#) and Multi-finger process but of no help. I even reinstalled the updated version but the problem still persists. My camera worked fine before the update but now it gives the said message and the phone hanges up on pressing the camera button. I request nokia developers to help fix this problem and check their updates for buge before uploading them to the server to save users from problems & worries.
I'm not sure if this has already been identified, but this is my second phone which had the similar issue.I purchased n8 on nov1 2010, by feb2011 I noticed a black dot on the camera screen which would reflect on any photo takenI got a replacement piece which I had the camera issue resolved but had some sensor rotation issue, I replaced 3 phones for the sensor rotation issue and it took 2months for me to make NOKIA care people understand what is the issue on the sensor. Finally I got a right phone in the month of may..Sensor and camera are working good. Now again by oct2011 I had started up with the camera black dot on the left side of the camera screen...and now I was told by the CARE that they rectified the issue and they will return the same phone by this weekend(hopefully it might have been fixed)
I was just wondering if any had faced this similar issue for the camera or is it only my luck.I'm really unsatisfied and worried now since my warranty period will be finished this month end and what if the same camera issue starts after 4months, and I'm really not sure why the phone has not been replaced even under warranty(I need to wait until I get a call from care)
I tried every method, but camera still doesn't work.....I think, Nokia Anna and Belle isn't a complete software and has flaws in it.My Nokia N8 is still without a camera which is important to me.We are waiting for a answer from Nokia.or i will change my opinion of Nokia .Nokia Codes : *#7780#- Default factory settings (Hard Reset) - CAMERA DOES NOT WORK!Nokia Codes : *#7370#- Soft Reset/Format erases all telephone memory - CAMERA DOES NOT WORK!
I got a problem with the N8's camera. It seems that the auto-focus does not work at all. This issue applies for videos and still pictures. It did work however once. But somehow not anymore and i did not change anything related to settings and neither did i update/install any software.I already had to reset the phone to factory defaults once since the "keylock button" refused to lock my phone when i slided it. This works now, but then again, the camera appears to be broken.
The problem is my camera capture button is not working on my N95 8 gb,so I am unable to take pics or record videos.i took it to the nokia care they say it has a dead risk if they tried to fix it. I can take pics or record videos without using the capture button. I have already updated the firmware.
My camera has stopped working on my nokia 5800 press camera button and it just goes back to menu screen. Tried camera through apps does same thing and it does not show it open also. It will not play any videos just sound. I watch bbciplayer a lot on my phone and all I get is sound it just comes up and says unable to play video or sound but I can hear the sound. Just not see the video and also vidoes what I have took on my phone done soft and hard reset firmware update.
My N82 while taking pictures focuses properly in macro mode. (Green rectangular box). Other than macro mode I can see only red rectangular box (indicating improper focus?) and the photo seems to be blurred. Macro mode photos seems to be good. Even if I put camera settings to 'Auto' I am getting red rectangular box most of the times instead of green. Software or hardware fault?

i have nokia 808 pureview and it is so great with its nokia belle fb1 software i had it from two days and today when every time i open the camera it shows a black screen and the camera won't open!!!! i have a few apps that runs the camera and in these apps it works very good that mean the problem is in the camera app or in the software
I have had my N8 for months now and I love it I love the camera the best I been trying to take some new photos but It seems hard to auto forces and some are bury?
Looking closer I can see my camera has dust, hairs, smudges on it ?
How can I clean my camera without making it worst?
Does anyone know where they is a good internet site explaining exactly how to use the 808's camera and all its features? Its probably me being stupid but i cant seem to get great photos from my 808, infact id say my N8 takes better photos if you havent got 10 minutes to set it up.I've tried leaving it in auto mode and also messing around in creative mode but im just not happy with the photos, most seem blurred or out of focus slightly no matter how hard i try to keep the phone still.I'd say i can hold a camera just as still as most people but unless its mounted in a tripod the results are poor, even my mates and family have had a go and it makes no difference, none of use can get sharp photos every time.
I have attached a couple of pics to show what i mean. And before anyone says did the cat move for pic 2, the answer is no. He is great for taking photos as he just sits there for ages looking at you and not moving at all..Picture 1 is me holding the camera above my head (so not very stable at all) to take a photo of my cat on top of the shed roof, the results are quite good considering.Picture 2 is taken resting the camera on top of a box (so very stable) but seems slightly out of focus and not as good as pic 1.
i have symbian anna and did the camera update but the video recording is still on 25 fps. the application installed succesfull i can see that by the camera/video icons on top left of the screen so i guess it works but it still recording on 25 fps.
i got a nokia n8 from singapore ....so it should be region free...n i got mobilicity .......the thing is that i can call people i can text ....i can use my internet browser .....but i can't use aplications that require internet !!!! for example a facebook app ...after i open it it says no connection ...even though im able to browse the web +_+.....is this a config problem or is it just because mobilicity is just incompatible with the nokia n8 ?
it used to be ok, but now, when i turn on the camera, and i "half-press" the capture button (in order to focus), nothing happens. the optics (i mean the black "things" behind the lens) used to move forward and backwards, but now, when i "half-press" the capture button nothing happens and i can't take a picture.
I noticed that the camera lens of my N8 is not at the center. So, I was wondering whether it's also the reason why my camera is off focus, yielding blurry photos and videos.
808 has oversampling camera... Does that mean that the real sensor is just 8 megapixel?... But after capturing image... It digitally add pixel into it?
I found out that all the camera settings is not saved. For exampel i always want the grid displayed but then i have to turn it on manuelly every time. Same goes for the timer, id like it to be on 2sec so the picture not is taken as you push the button (shaky etc).
Probably more camera settings that not saved havent checked it all.
Does anybody know how I can remove the link to Facebook on the camera interface? I don't want it there. There doesn't seem to be a way to remove it anywhere.
So far the images are quite good in quality. I am still waiting for Nokia accessory for Camera Tripod Mount to arrive in my country, Malaysia. Some feedback for you Nokia guys, it will be nice to have a Camera Shutter Timer so that the photographer can be part of a group photo as well don't you think?
On my Nokia 808, in camera preferences, there is no "Camera Sounds" option. Does this mean that the phone that I purchased is for a market other than the USA?
My camera on N8 doesn't focus at all. Its blurry on the Screen and on the pictures. And the red light before the light works sometimes. Before this problems started so did it work every time. And the focus on camera.
