Why Nokia didn't implement dual sim in Series 60 platforms? S40 phohnes are not convincing and very limited specially installing applications. At least create one for 3rd, 5th, or S^3 editions.

1) at out city both 2G and 3G coverage are available by BSNL
2) when I keep my mobile in Dual mode then its catches 3G coverage
3) but when we go somewhere out from city where 3G coverage is not available then my mobile catches 2G coverage......and here problem starts when mobile have coverage and if I calls or do SMS or I got any call or SMS the mobile loses coverage each time for 10 seconds( at this time of 10 seconds if some call me then I will be out of coverage area even if I am front of the mobile tower this is the biggest problem I have ever faced in Nokia's phone ever) and again catches 2G signals This same thing happens every time when I am in 2G signals Nokia should solve this problem soon.

had it in my pocket whislt I was walking round, and when I sat down at a restaurant and looked at it, and it was almost like the phone had just died, but the screen didn't light up and the LED didn't flash. I charged it up fully the night before and i know that when the battery is flat it flashes yellow, but it was doing nothing.When I got home i tried charging it, but nothing and then I plugged it into my laptop to try a retrive all of my stuff on there but again nothing!

View 5 Replies View RelatedI installed a 3rd party GPS app, and after a few moments toying with it, it did not load the map so I uninstalled it.After restarting, I noticed that my phone has no signal and it reboots every now and then until there's a signal... long story short, it reboots unti it gets a signal from carrier..
After it does get a signal, I tried dialing a number and I get disconnected after 2 seconds and text messages does not send.I have read other forums that it may be a carrier problem (i doubt) but anyway I followed the instruction and it worked as of this writing..
The instruction was to disable Dual Mode and set it to GSM...Phone > Network > set Dual Mode to GSM.
I can now make calls and send and receive SMS.BUT still I want to make the Dual mode working again pre installation of the GPS software.I tried to reinstall 23.002 fw but it looked like it was just a reinstall of some of the FW not reflashing the entire phone.. hence the same apps and settings are still there.Is there a way to restore this to factory firmware? Or I need to wait for another update?
are there any benefits to dual booting android? do we get the benefits of it i.e. google maps, the app store and flash 10, or is it merely the visuals?

I bought the BH-221 to use both at the same time, I read it could be connected at two devices at the same time [URL]I can't get it to work... When I press the call button for a second it turns off... Also, on neither the N9 nor the N900 track info shows up.

1) Refresh(didn't work)
2)Delete Private data under E:/private
3)Removed ALL songs and put them back in(didn't work)
4)Removed ALL songs again and put 10 songs in (to test if its just taking time to reload) and that didn't work
3) Soft restart(didn't work)
4)Hard restart(didn't work)
I'm out of idea's and how i have 0 songs in my music library and its making me mad.

I have a nokia 5130 XM that always worked normaly, but i dont used it for 2 months, and now that i need it again, the mobile turn on and it stop all the time in a white screen (it don't start).I've tried:
-Connect with USB cable to check if i can update software, but my pc not recognize the device.
-Used the reset codes, nothing happened
I don't have memory card inside.the mobile phone cannot start, and i dont know what to do.any ideas/support?

View 19 Replies View RelatedI decided to go with PC Suite for Sync. I think it's a great program (I have never owned a Nokia.) PC Suite does say it is not fully compatible yet with N900. For sync though I have had no trouble. I noticed the backup feature didn't work - it thinks my phone is not connected. But the N900 does have a"Backup feature" on it. So I am guessing I can just backup the N900 using the N900 and then plug it into the computer and read it as a mass storage device - and copy the backup information onto the computer. That should work for backup/restore until they give an update to the program. Is that what others are doing here?
As for music... I don't know what t do. There is Media Sync for Blackberry which will transfer iTunes (not purchased iTunes unless you unlocked yours (which I did) it will transfer your iTunes play lists onto your Blackberry.
Is there something that will get music in the iTunes format onto the N900 - or will I have to convert my music files?
I've just installed Nokia Ovi Suite, and to say i'm a little disappointed is an understatement, the program slows my whole computer down. I have a 5800 Xpressmusic FW31.0.10. I've been trying to copy music from my PC to my 5800, and yesterday when I launched Ovi Music Player, it didn't recognise the phone as being connected. It also started popping up with "Found New Hardware - MTP Device" EVERY 5 SECONDS!
I installed Ovi Suite and that just slowed my whole machine down. After waiting all morning for Ovi Suite to speed up a bit i've tried syncing my music, but it returns Operation Failed, Unable to copy the tracks. Attempting to copy them from my PC to my phone returns the same error. I also have a video decoder displaying in my sys tray, not just 1 icon, 22 of the same icon displaying in my sys tray. I've attached a screenshot to show what i mean.
I am more of a multimedia internet guy, and switching to N series, and I have a few questions : I noticed on the N97, after I tried it for 10 minutes, that every time u click on something on the screen there is a small vibration, can that be turned of ? And does the N97 comes with nokia maps 2.0 or ovi maps 3.0 ? and will the free navigation offer from nokia be on the N97? And does the N900 have a sensor for autorotate between landscape and portrait? and on the N97, can I for example update my status on facebook using hand writing ? And can I get an office documents editor on the N97, or N97 mini? I like it how I can overclock the N900 from 600 mhz to 1000 mhz in less than 30 sec.

I want a charger that will charger both of my parents phones (Moto Q and a Razr) so that they dont have to carry 2 chargers. All of our phones are usb B and I have lots of data cables but I cannot find a charger that will charge them. I have a Q9c and mine shows unaauthorized charger when plugged into a car driven usb port. In the PC they all charge just fine.Does anyone know of a good charger that will charge these phones?? I am assuming that it is the same problem that iPhone users have but I am not sure, and I am sick of buying USB chargers that dont work.
