I am more of a multimedia internet guy, and switching to N series, and I have a few questions : I noticed on the N97, after I tried it for 10 minutes, that every time u click on something on the screen there is a small vibration, can that be turned of ? And does the N97 comes with nokia maps 2.0 or ovi maps 3.0 ? and will the free navigation offer from nokia be on the N97? And does the N900 have a sensor for autorotate between landscape and portrait? and on the N97, can I for example update my status on facebook using hand writing ? And can I get an office documents editor on the N97, or N97 mini? I like it how I can overclock the N900 from 600 mhz to 1000 mhz in less than 30 sec.

I recently bought a 5230 and set a reminder for this morning - worked perfectly and went off when it should but I couldn't make it stop again - or silence it either. In the end, I had to wait until it ran out of steam so that I could access the memo and take the reminder alarm off. Am I missing something obvious?
I am currently traveling and I would like to chose the strongest company in this region. The problem is that when I chose: Menu - Settings - Device - Operator selection - manual, the phone switches back to the home screen. It means my Asha is not looking for any other operator. It remains at the end on automatically.Since I have the phone it is like this, latest update is installed and no change.
it possible to get a Series 40 (S40) handset, such as 6100 or 6700, to automatically sync over the air to cloud services such as Google? I know there are many ways to do this with S60 Symbian handsets (Mail for Exchange, various 3rd party apps) but not sure on the S40?
I'm a owner of a, what is seems, wonderful E72. I discover that i have application running on my phone which requires internet connection all the time. And what even worth i don even want that application on my phone. So one would say - why then you installed that on the first plce and if did and don't like it just uninstall it.I wish i could - enter spammer Nokia corp. and there spam of the year Psiloc Traveler. Why? Yes Nokia why are you spamming E series users. If you think that this software can be useful to somebody the please make use of nice Ovis software market place, put it in Recommended category. So if someone finds it useful (and i can imagine that there would be quite a few hardcore travelers who would) will download it and installs it.And rest of us who has no use for this resource hogging app could go on with our lives without being spammed.
I've been looking at the E63 and the xpressmusic phones(5230,5530,5800) from nokia. I was wondering what would be my best choice. I want a phone that is good for music but I also want a good texting that offers wifi(i know the 5230 doesnt offer this but to my knowledge you can use the 10 dollar a month tmobile data plan which is ok with me). Also to any one who has the e63 how much of a nuisance is it that the e63 doesn't have a volume rocker, seems like this is a pretty basic feature i couldn't imagine not having one. Also I am only considering candybar style phones because i always seem to break phones with moving parts.
I recently purchased a 5800 xm. I got navigation working on it. I am now looking for an application that can record where I've been in a sort of standard format. I want to use that information to geotag the pictures I take with my DSLR, not with my phone.
How do I provide modem software/functionality to the users but NOT installing the Nokia PC Suite or Ovi.Our E series devices sync with MfE with Exchange. Our Windows laptops are blocked for software installations. So to install company wide 100 MB of Ovi software on the Windows laptops is a bridge too far, but I want provide our laptop users the modem functionality (UMTS, HSDPA) of the E series in combination woth a laptop if no Wifi, Hotspot or Ethernet network is avialable. Is there a modem app available for E Series devices, which can be installed on laptops?
I have recently upgraded to a C6, but I don't seem to be able to get caller ID by name, I only get the number showing. I think I have been through every menu and sub menu
i just found my new firmware for the Nokia 110 v3.20 and mine is v3.04 also Nokia 110 doesn't have any cable connection so how can i update it?? is it possible to update it through Bluetooth?
there used to be a nokia which had a special feature where you could have entered a message and afterwards you had to shake the phone and some (i think red) leds wer displaying the message in the "air".
When i purchase Nokia X2-00 then it work properly. when any message/sms come in mobile then it show the name of sender on screen but after 2 month it stop showing the name of sender and only show that 1 new message .
I purchased a Nokia Asha 311 10 days ago, the phone keeps on restarting multiple times a day and the touch screen doesnt work at times during calls. The firmware version is 3.81.
I bought my asha 302 few days back and I am having issue in it, as it some times restarts again on its own. I don't know why? Is there software issue as there is no firmware update available for it yet by Nokia.
I am using the asha 302 since past 2 months, have been facing issues with the battery life. It doesn't even last a day. My usage isn't that much, yes I do chat on whtsapp and I know it does take up some of ur battery usage but then I have to keep it for charging twice a day. Never heard or had an experience with NOKIA handsets using up so much of battery.
A few hours back i got a phone call from my female freind who uses a Nokia 60 series. Only problem was She did not call! it was some creep who knew my name and got dc within 20 seconds. There is no record of the call in her mobile. but the service provider we both use logged teh 20 seconds call from her phone. When i told them that she had not made the call from her mobile and there was no such log on her phone. They refused to believe me and were adament that its not possible. After half an hour of useless arguments they simply refused to take my calls! When I called my freind and told her that some1 has been calling from her number without using her SIM. She also cannot believe its possible.Yet the call is logged on my phone n the service providers have also accepted it.I have heard bout viruses that send mass smses but this is the first time I have seen a phone number being used without its owner`s knowledge.More ever all the data on teh sim has also been apparently compromised.Since they knew my name as well. Now according to the service providers this is simply not possible and their system is secure. Is it possible that heckers can actuly take over a phone and gain access to all its data without the owner`s knowledge? I am extremely worried since the potential for crime and terrorism in my country is horrendously high. And with this kind of identity theft the number can be used for black mail extortion kidnapings for ransom even bomb blasts.. all of which are very common in Pakistan.
My wife has just bought a Nokia 100 as her 5300 has gone faulty. She has a few custom ringtones she wants to keep.Is it possible to add custom ringtones and if so, how? We have not received the phone yet, but I wanted to be ready when it arrives
I discovered the other day I still have messages on my old Nokia 1100 phone. At first I thought ok, just put in a sim and copy them across. But the 1100 doesn't have this option. Since this handset is locked, I can't put in a sim and forward them either. It's odd the phone has internal memory but won't let you copy/move or do anything with the messages.
I've looked online for a data cable for the 1100. Maybe if I connect it to a computer I can extract or copy them then? I want to get these messages on my new phone with all the original details (dates, numbers etc.) intact. My googling so far for a data cable only brings up other nokia cables where the seller has just added the 1100 model number, but it clearly isn't the right cable for this phone.
I've just brought a nokia 100 (sim free) and put in my THREE sim. It doesn't have any error messages but it claims that I don't have any signal? I know that my area has signal as the same sim works in other phones.p.s. when looking manually selecting signal I found o2, orange, vodafone and T-mobile?
I have problem with my Nokia 101. I have contact saved on both SIM cards, but when that contacts call me, the phone does not show contact name nor from one SIM, but only a phone number. I tried to save contact also to phone, but nothing happened.
Our company has recently bought 220pcs of nokia 2710 (brand new). After using them for 3days (8 hour shifts) GPS started to fail - the GPS icon just disappears and GPS itself does not send any new data. Some of the phones recover after a full restart others don't.I have called Nokia support and according to them if the GPS icon is missing the phone is defect. We have already replaced 30 phones under warranty, but each day new ones are affected by this issue. I suspected there might be some energy saving feature (although most users have the car charger connected all the time) or other option which turns off the GPS, but again Nokia support says no. Does anybody know how to resolve this issue or are the phones just not built for 8hour GPS standby?
