After much waiting, I finally got to upgrade my E7 to Symbian Anna, everything is perfect but there is one flaw.All of the new-look icons have appeared except for the one for the OVI Store, it still shows the shopping-bag-type-thing that was the icon pre-Anna(I tried to re-install the software via. PC Suite, the problem still persists)
View 1 RepliesI updated to symbian Anna today and my OVI store stopped working. So I try to click the icon and my browser opens up and takes me to the site to download the sis file. Once downloaded, the install starts. It gets to a point with a green bar and says : "This could take a few minutes" then it just closes. When I go to the OVI icon in the menu, it does the same thing again: Opens the browser and goes to the page for download..

when i hit ovi store icon, the welcome screen loads up really fast but the appliction does nothing expect saying 'LOADING' I have performed a 'delete data and restore' this does not fix the issue. also trying to uninstal over gets you the fingers 'REMOVING CANCLED'

The apps download just fine but when it gets to the installation part it results in an installation error.My N8 product code 059c640I have already done a hard reset 2 times together with a full format of my mass memory and memory card before resetting and then after installation process I updated everything through ovi suite and mobile update tool OTA again. View 1 Replies View RelatedI m fed up with my Nokia N8 New Anna Symbian Software as after updating to it, i m unable to use Ovi Store. It gets stucks on My Stuff Page..... I gave my N8 to nokia care 3 times regarding this problem, each time they format it. Reinstall Anna and Ovi. But still the same problem. Infact I deleted my Ovi Account 3 times and made a new one 4th time.... I thought may be this problem is because of that, as i have download History in those account. I Have tried all possible Tricks and Methods posted on This Nokia Support Forum. I have tried the Following Tricks and methods:
1. Reinstalling Anna and Ovi.
2. Istalling Ovi Store manually by unsinstalling it.
3. Updating Ovi Store form version 2.12.042 to 2.12.043
4. Manually Installing all QT files.
5. Deleted my 3 Ovi Account and created 4th Account.
But still the same problem. M trying these all since last 5 days continuously...
I normally sync the agenda between outlook 2003 and C7 with Ovi-suite.After update to symbian Anna it doesn't work.Strange is that Ovi suite gives the number of events that did not sync.So he can recognize them, but can't sync.

I got a new phone on the 18th, a Nokia C3-00, but when I click the ovi store app, it says "a new version of the Ovi Store is available. You must download the update before proceeding." So I click download. It says loading... Then Requesting please wait.. Then download... The "Replace version 1.8.20 with newer version 2.6.0?" so I click yes... "Application source differs from original. Continue?" Yes... "Keep application data?" Yes... Then it comes up with info "Store version 2.6.0, size: .3 MB, Vendor: Nokia, Certificate: Yes, Organization: Nokia, Country code: Note Available. So I press Accept. Requesting please wait... Downloading Store... Wait about 2 minutes and it comes up "Invalid Application" "Ok". And that's it!
This has been **bleep** me off for 4 days. I have tried doing it with Wifi and Local cell internet in 2 different countries, and it still doesn't work. I've tried pressing No when it asks to keep application data. Still doesn't work. I've tried resetting, updating with ovi suite, and updating with nokia SW updater, none of them work!

After update to Symbian Anna
1) OVI store is not working. I am able to open ovi store and see apps but moment I click on download.. it just hangs there.I have tried installling QT files as mentioned in the forum I download QT files from Nokia which were in .sisx format. I am not able to install them either by directly copying in phone or via Ovi suite.I am getting Error 300.
2) Google Maps is not working. I have installed it multiple times. When I click on Google Maps to open it , a blank window comes and it closes automatically.
How can I update symbian anna to belle! I have x7 and ovi 3.3.86 shows no updates available!

Firstly, Swype isn't working on my phone, it has never worked before and i was hoping it would with the Anna update but it still doesn't. Whenever I install the App, my phone freezes, i can't open anything that requires use of the Keyboard(Messages, Conversations, WhatsApp). The phone just keeps quite until I uninstall Swype.
Secondly, When you use Grid, there is an icon called Signal Boost, when opening it, it says System error... Not sure if anyone has ever experienced this.
Lastly (for now), are we supposed to purchase Shazam and QuickOffice 7 or a plan is being made to have an update that allows full access to both the apps in the near future? N8-00,Galaxy Tab 10.1
I downloaded the Symbian Anna and honestly, it's not as great as it's been made out to be!Now I want to revert to the earlier S3 version and am unable to do so! What can be done to regain the old version of the OS?

I only installed games and apps , and the Qt . When i try to run OVI Store , it shows the " OVI Nokia " screen for like 10 seconds , and return to the phone´s main menu .... i tried uninstalling it from the app manager , but it does nothing when i choose " unisntall " , tried to download the newest ovi store from their page , but the isntallation reaches 100% and returns " installation failed " .

I have had 3 Nokias now over the last 5 years all on contract but when my current one runs out in October that's me finished with Nokia! I have had continual problems with Nokia Suite ever since they replaced PC Suite a few years ago in addition to all the problems I've had with the phone (most of whicvh have resulted from various software upgrades) !!
