my (fantastic) N8 shows that the software is "under Creation". What, exactly, does that mean? How long does this process normally take? Days, weeks, months? Is the carrier responsible for the creation process? I'm just trying to learn what is happening, that's all.

View 4 Replies View Relatednav key left brings up message creation dialog... until now, it used to have 2 prompts: the top one for writing your actual message and immediately under that one, the "send to" propmt where you enter the recipient's number. however, out of the blue, the "send to" prompt is gone. i have to open the "send to" menu with the main nav key, select "number or email" for the prompt to appear

I go to App Drawer and tap Edit, but dragging an app over another does not give me a folder, it does nothing. Also, I cannot remove apps fom existing folders I created over the weekend. After answering the security question, my password is being sent to the wrong e-mail address created which of-course I couldn't open anyway as it is a wrong e-mail address. Now I left with only two more chances to log into Blachbeery user ID. My phone is Bold 9900.

However I just noticed that when downloading the videos I took with it onto my PC, the creation date of the file is no more the date when I shot the video but the date and time when it was imported on the PC.Whatever the way I tranfer the video I lose the right date: either accessing via the Windows Filer Manager or via Media Go.Strangely enough there is no such issue with the pictures, where date and time are the right one.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've recently bought a Nokia 700 and for few days I'm experiencing this weird problem.Every single connection drops (3G, Wi-Fi and USB. Haven't tested NFC yet) at random times and I can't reconnect. It always says after that it can't connect and the connections are unavailable.After turning the phone off and then on again, everything is back to normal. I can normally connect to the 3G connection, Wi-Fi and USB.It's pretty annoying as I always have to restart my phone in order to connect via USB or to the Internet when it happens.Anyone else who is experiencing the same problem or has any solutions to this?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just bought a new Nokia J headset and I can't pair it with the Nokia N8, the phone simply doesn't find it or any other BT device. My computer can find it all other devices I've tried. The phone works fine with BT devices that were already paired but won't pair new ones. I've tried the new Headset on another phone and no problems, even my computer pairs with it so it's my N8 for sure.

I didn't find it.If I have activate the fm-transmitter in my car and nokia maps is running as well, the output of the music comes over the radio, but the output voice of nokia maps comes over the phone. If any advise comes from nokia maps, the connections interrupt via fm-transmitter completly.During the time of the nokia maps advise both, music and nokia maps, sending the sound via phone. Is there any possibility to avoid that problem?

View 2 Replies View Relatedi'm using a nokia n8 phone and i used to keep a copy of my photos and videos on my pc using nokia suite, i just clicked on the gallery sync. button and it was done.i recently bought a new memory card and i started downloading videos by the (Internet downloader) app. i have now like 7gb of videos on my memory card.the problem is that now every time i try to sync. the gallery, nokia suite makes a copy of all downloaded videos on my computer. is it possible to set nokia suite to sync. only the photos and the videos taken by the camera and ignore the downloaded videos?

I have all my contacts synced with my Google account and Windows Live account and I have all the contacts in .vcf and .csv format. How can I get them into my Nokia 808. I tried the "Import contacts" option in PC Suite but it just does not do anything. It acts as though I never asked it to import. So that isnt working. I am using the latest PC Suite which i downloaded from the Nokia website.

When I entered it, it just said "Service temporarily unavailable.lease try later". Same thing happened with Social. I hoped that this would get solved with symbian anna, but it didn't. Now, when i enter the app, only the loading screen appears, the one with welcome to ovi, an then nothing. It just exits the app. Note that I uninstalled and reinstalled these apps many, many times, but still, they do not work.

View 16 Replies View RelatedI have aN79 and use the fm transmitter to play mp3's loaded on it via my car radio system.When using nokia maps at the same time the transmitter is turned off when a voice comand comes from Nokia maps then when it is finnished it comes back on again.
Why can't/arn't the comands transmitted to the car system the same as the mp3's as they continue to play from the phone as the comands are deliveried.
Is this as good as it gets or can you get it to work with the transmitter?
My Nokia N8 does not seem to be able to do DTMF. This means no listening to voicemail, no using of call centers which asks to enter numeric options, no joining telephone conferecences with a pin and no remote activation of DTMF based server settings.
it can be done and all I need to do during a call is to select "Options -> Send DTMF -> Enter Manually -> * -> Y", because that is stupid. Entering 5 commands to select a single digit is rediculous. It is like saying that I can sail from Johannesburg to Cape Town because all I need is to dig a canal and then build a ship from matches. This much effort is as good as not having it and is entirely impractical during a call with various options i.e. voicemail or call center options.
