Anyone having the same problem with their N8? After I downloaded some free apps and games (level meter, angle meter, need for speed shift) that use the phone's motion sensor, I noticed the sensor is off by a few degrees. Can this be re-calibrated in the phone (not in the app itself) or do I need to return it for repair?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI was googling around the interwebs to find out more recommendations for smart actions rule settings, and I noticed some references to a motion sensor trigger (for example, in the BGR review of the Droid Razr Maxx). I don't seem to have that trigger in the version of smart actions on my new Droid 4, though? Is that a hardware sensor limitation? Or do I need to change a setting somewhere to make that trigger come up in the list?

Most devices with the sensor can disable it. Android of course, but even Apple device can! This is blasphemy! Apple having greater customisability than Nokia?

This is an important thing to me since I tend to read at night and I dislike having to go all the way to settings and so on.
Do you know any piece of software that could change screen brightness based on the light sensor readings?I'm just amazed the phone software doesn't do that on its own but hey s60v5 is worse than s60v3...
Mostly, my 5800 handles my music files OK. However occasionally it just deletes some of the songs. So I have to copy them on again. Mostly this just happens once but sometimes again. Several different albums have been affected this way. I have a particular album that is constantly incorrectly filed in the Library. I have tried ripping a couple of formats. As wma files, they are presented correctly but some songs are regularly erased completely. They are suddenly not on the phone at all! As mp3s they appear as Unknown Artist in the Library even though they appear correct and all file details including performing artist are correct in the file manager. They are assigned correctly in Ovi Music but are not assigned correctly on the phone.

Calibration was easy, though, I just need to wait until tomorrow to check if it has solved the Waze problem.

Since a cadence sensor just counts how often the magnet passes by it then I guess they are the same as speed sensor.What would be the steps to complete this? or are the profiles baked in the firmware of the sensors and there's no way for the Motoactv to profile it as a different type of sensor?

I recently synced a folder of photos in My Pictures to my iPhone 4 via iTunes. 68 picture...21 were taken in a portrait rotation, the rest were landscape. I had no trouble with the landscape photos. But, after the sync, 5 of the 21 portrait photos had the wrong rotation From my basic troubleshoot...they are not all rotated incorrectly in the same direction and I confirmed that they all have a similar resolution as at least one of the correctly oriented portrait photos from the same sync. Editing and saving the picture directly on the iPhone is not an option because I am only given the option to save an edited photo to the Camera Roll album. It is extremely frustrating. Why does this process ignore the native orientation of only some of the synced photos? I'd be less confused if it mess up all of the portrait photos.

Back in July I brought my girlfriend her first Blackberry, a Curve 8520. With this set-up she has a password lock for the screen, which works fine and she knows exactly what she's doing with. Then about four weeks down the line she tells me she woke up one morning, typed in her password but was told it was wrong and she had 9 attempts left. After looking more closely at it, it was actually asking for a device password - which neither my girlfriend nor me has ever set up on the Blackberry.After doing some research the first time, we tried everything - connecting it to device manager, inputting letters instead of numbers, etc. but eventually had to wipe the phone.So then after setting the phone up for a second time straight after, this morning she tells me the same thing has happened again and she's had to wipe her phone.

For instance, an event I just created for tomorrow, Thursday April 5th, will display under Friday April 6th in the list view, but display properly in day and month views. Also some events are simply not shown. For instance, for a three day consecutive event, the first two events are shifted forward a day and the third drops out of view. All events are synced and display properly on my iPad, however.

My iPhone 4 abrupty shuts off, incorrectly flashing low battery. Attach it to a charger and turn it on, and the battery percentage displays within the 40% range. Over the next week the shut off percentage will increase. I am on my 3rd phone. I purchased my original phone in Feb 2011. The problem started occuring Jan 2012. The phone was replace under warranty in Jan 2012.Buy April 2012 the same problem started occuring. Now it's June 2012 and the problem is occuring again. By the time the first two phones were replaced, it was shutting down in the the 90% range.

There was this pop-up thing happening and without knowing what it is and trying to get rid of it, I entered the password incorrectly 10 times and my phone got wiped. I did not back up any of the data in my phone. Now, every time I turn on my phone (bold 9000) the battery dies within 2-3 hours and when I switch the battery it erases all contacts and adjustments to the settings that I've made. In addition to this, the phone gets super hot, even though I turn the phone off.

i received the update notification to Tango through Zune. After perform the update, I noticed that when making or receiving calls, the screen immediately turned off and is not turned on again until the other person hung up.I did the tests in the diagnostic menu, and the proximity sensor always shows "detected".The problem is the same as in this post [URL]....I did a rollback to the previous version and the problem was solved, but went update to Tango again, the problem reappears.
