Everywhere on the web it says that the Anna version is 025.007I live in the U.S. And my phone is still 024.001 and I tried every single way to do the software update but it still shows no recent updates.Can anyone help me know what's the problem here.

View 12 Replies View RelatedNokia's Indian call center really are useless. They tell me the reason I cant access the ovi store is because I dont have the latest firmware. The firmware on my phone is v12 The latest firmware, according to them is v11.
They don't seem to understand that perhaps their information is wrong, and that I must speak to my network to get the latest firmware or they can't help me! So what IS the latest firmware for the X6?I really hate offshore call centres where if your problem doesn't fit the script then they just freak out. It's like they are robots or something.
I updated my N97 to version 2 yesterday and downloaded the news maps OTA, but it says it is version 3.01. Isn't the latest one 3.03?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have put a 8GB memory card in my new phone. When I try to update my Nokia maps the uploader only installs nokia maps v1.0. Uploader says I have version 0.0.13h? It won't install the latest maps version 3.0. I copied the files from the memory card which came with the phone to my 8GB card but this doesn't fix the problem.

Which is the latest available software version for Nokia 5800? The one which is in my phone is 30.0.011. However i tried to download OviMaps and it's saying that to install new maps the software version needs to be 31.0.008 or higher. I tried to update the firmware using software updater but it says that no new updates available. Which one to believe now? Product code is 0575590. Is there any new update available for this product code? If it is there how to update?

When I try to download, the application stops responding and when I use the e-mail option, the application reports that the process was successfully completed, but I don't receive an e-mail. My phone can access Internet normally.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI tried to install Ovi maps 3.03 but during the installation, it says there's not enough memory and it asks me to delete something from the C:. But I didn't really put much in C: and I don't know what I can delete without affecting the system.So, when I open "Maps" now, the old version still pops out (it says 3.01 when I click into "About"),but apparently the installer in the PC suite thinks I have 3.03 already.What should I do?
View 9 Replies View RelatedWith the trial I had with 3.0.1 I was able to use Maps and it's history. When I clicked to travel by car, set destination, I was able to select 'History' there. The strange thing is, since I upgrade to 3.0.3 / FW40 (latest free version) the 'History' option was gone. Only Search and From maps are still available. I did a lot of navigation since the installation but the 'History' button did not came back. At first I thought it was something with the software but I did a Hard-Reset (Camera+Green+Red) and did an update using SW-update. Still the same. I formatted my microSD card just before I did the reset just to make sure it wasn't the data on the card. I also downloaded the Europe maps for offline instalation but this does not resolve the issue. Any ideas? I could not find an answer on the internet. History accessible after upgrade from FW v31 to v40. Why is it gone on my Nokia 5800 Express Music (FW 40.005)?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Nokia 500 with Belle installed (vers: 111.021.0028) and Nokia Suite vers 3.6.36.On the 17.12.2012 I've installed the latest version of Romania maps: 00.02.47.103 and since then I get the same error message 'car navigation cannot start at this location'. I can access the maps, I get the correct position but the problem occurs when I try to navigate to any address. It doesn't seem to have an actual issue with the location because I've tried several locations in Bucharest and got the same error.

View 9 Replies View RelatedBoth PC Suite and Ovi were working perfectly until I updated my Ovi to the latest version early this week. Now, whenever I start Ovi, it will crash after 15-20sec if my 5800 is connected ( either bluetooth or USB ). If the phone is not connected, Ovi will stay without any issue. Btw, PC Suite is working fine. Here is the error message pop-up on the screen when Ovi crashed.

This is what i did so far :
i) Uninstall Ovi , re-download from Nokia web, reinstall : Failed to fix
ii) Uninstall Ovi and all Nokia related software , clean Registry and reinstall Ovi Suite : Failed to fix
iii) Format and reinstall Windows 7 ( Yes, I did !!! ) , re-download and reinstall Ovi Suite : Failed to fix
I strongly believe this error is caused by the latest version of Ovi Suite, as i have another laptop which running with the older version of Ovi Suite works perfectly with my 5800. I have uninstall the Ovi Suite, I will only try it again when next release is available.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI do really have serious problem. I have nokia N900 which is U.S.A. I was trying to update through flasher, then the phone doesn't complete booting I mean just stuck on booting. I did try another version, and also doesn't work. The phone only accept one or tow version which is a Global RX-51_2009SE_2.2009.51-1_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM and Middle East version RX-51_2009SE_1.2009.42-11.003_PR_COMBINED_003_ARM. Just accepting the old version. When I update to latest version, it just stuck for more than 4 hours on the 5 dots or booting.
I did read almost or all the posts talking about this problem and no one worked with me. I did flash it with EMMC first then OS but also nothing happened. And when I flash with the old global, the phone boot up and work fine but when I check the IMEI there is nothing show up. And there is red line on the top on the sim card. I tried many SIM card. But nothing work. I hope I can find solution.

I have been using Nokia maps on my E71, and I have updated to the latest version, which deleted the maps present on the phone. I now cannot load any maps onto it. While connected to my PC the maps application says that the maps on my phone are corrupt, but I cannot delete them, or load new ones. I have tried deleting the cities folder, and deleting the qf file, but get the same error. I also reinstalled Ovi suite on my PC, same error. I cannot uninstall the maps app on my phone.

View 8 Replies View Related- It now takes several seconds to respond to key presses so every feature of the phone is running at a delay.
- SMS messages aren't being received in "real time" and I need to periodically turn the phone on and off again to receive them.
- "Messaging" itself has the largest delay and key-presses are at about a ten second response delay and if for example you select to mark today's messages as "read" then "processing" appears at the bottom of the screen. No matter how long you leave it "processing" it never completes, crashes and closes messaging.
- Having never previously locked up my N8 now does this at least twice a day when trying to answer a call - the touchscreen does not respond to me and the call rings out and eventually goes to voicemail. I run my own business and these are potential customers who my N8 is refusing to answer calls from.
- My N8 will now no longer pair with my bluetooth headset - which it has done for the past year. It's not the headset because I can pair and use it with both my desktop and netbook computers.
- Programs keep crashing and exiting on their own (e.g. Opera browser)
- Other previously working programs now will not start/open/launch at all. (Blackballer - app for rejecting certain callers).
- Other installed programs that have been set to "auto start" now do not auto start and must be launched manually.
I have not installed any "new" software since updating to Anna and all aspects of the phone were working normally before I updated. (I've found the WiFi connectivity temperamental but haven't had the need to used it since updating to Anna).I am presently syncing and backing up my phone using the Ovi suite but I would like to restore my phone to how it was before the Anna update but I'm not really sure which of the options I should choose (factory settings?)I have a class 10 memory card which contains several GB's worth mp3's and camera images - I have opted out of backing up the memory card on Ovi suite. I have installed paid-for apps installed via the Ovi store and I would (of course!) prefer not to lose them in any reset/restore procedure.In a nutshell I do not want to lose my mp3's, camera images (stored on memory card) nor do I want to lose my sms messages or installed paid-for applications.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm looking for a theme that replaces the Anna style icons from my N8 and replaces them with how it used to look.Ovi told me that there was an update available for my N8 with improved features so I downloaded and installed it. What it didn't tell me was that it would replace all of my icons with something that makes it look like a kids toy. I don't want pretty rounded icons that all look virtually the same but in different colours, I want standard icons. I want a picture of a spanner for settings, I want a picture of a calculator for calculator, I want a picture of a calendar for calendar and so on.Is there a downloadable theme that replaces these childish looking icons for the original ones? The N8 is a telephone, not something made by Fisher-Price......

I tried removing it - same issue.Upon my return back to my home and native land - I could not make out going calls.Anyhow - now I can't make out going calls. I can send and receive txts. My data plan works. I can receive calls.I checked my call restrictions and tried check status and it said request was denied. I never set up any restrictions or passwords.I have rebooted several times. Tried the holding for 8 seconds and waiting for the 3 buzzes - no dice.

View 11 Replies View RelatedLast week, we upgraded my Nokia N8 to Symbian Anna.Now, I experienced one large and one smaller problem:1. Large problem: When connecting the phone (via USB cable) to my notebook (Suse Linux 11.2), it is no longer recognized as a mass storage drive (USB stick), but only the camera is recognized (pptp protocol), i.e., the notebook asks, if I want to copy the photos, but does not find access to all other files. (Before upgrading, this problem did not exist!)
2. Smaller problem: When taking photos, one can add a description (under "details").This works, but not as good as before: the number of characters for the description is drastically reduced. and what is worse: all older descriptions have been truncated and are hardly of any use any more.
Ok. so now i was so happy that anna came out then when i updated (Via OTA don't know if that matters since the update went perfectly) .. and no split screen? I'm using singapore FW which has chinese character.. maybe the chinese FW doesn't support split screen? not even in english writing language mode?
