Oct 3, 2012In Nokia Pureview 808 gallery should be more functional. For example, send option should be added to gallery. Send with Bluetooth, email, etc. In its current state, the options for gallery is very limited.

In the call log of earlier generation (nonSymbian) Nokia phones one could select a recent number (dialed, received or missed) and scroll through all recent calls for that number. For dialed or received numbers it also showed the duration of each call. On the 5800 all I can see is the number and time of the latest call for each number.

Feb 22, 2012I own an E7 and initially it had an option to select Walk for GPS navigation. I found it useful as it gave a short route to my destination.
Now that option has been taken away from Maps and we only have a Drive option and normal Maps which doesnt give route suggestions. The Drive gives only routes where cars are allowed and hence cutting across through a one-way is not given. This is not useful when one is walking.

I come from a T-Mobile prepaid flipphone with their sim card and live in the USA. Oct 23, 2011My N8 does not connect to websites via wifi, in general, 90 % of the times it does not open any web page, either with the default web browser or Opera. However, the phone connects to the wifi network, and Skype for instance always works via wifi, but normally, you cannot go to any webpage or use other programs needing the internet.Surprisingly,sometimes it does connect (10 % of attempts), while nothing was changed in the router or anything. It does happen with any wifi network.

Mar 7, 2011i had to use the 3 finger hard format on my phone. Everything was working ok after this (recovered ovi store and maps without a problem) untill i saw that the phone stayed conected on wifi. If i would disconnect it would just reconect imediately. same whould happen if i deleted the wifi access point but with 3g internet this time. After i installed a firewall i found out that a program called OMB (ombserver.exe made by nokia) kept connecting to the net. What is this program and why does it connect to the internet ? I blocked it through the firewall and the problem is solved and everything else works ok but haven't had this problem before.

Sep 7, 2012I've had the 808 since the initial release in India, i.e since August 13. Got it replaced once for the purple tint issue. Though the replacement set has some issues with touchscreen response, but I've learned to live with it. And everything else was working fine, till about a week ago.But now my 808 cannot connect to Wifi, randomly (quite often, actually). If I enable the wifi and go to the Wifi main page, I can see my home network being detected and shown as "Known". I tap on it to connect, it says "Connecting" for about a second or even less than that and then says "Known" again. I've tried tapping on it many times, but it just doesn't connect. Tried different connections of wifi, i.e. joikuspot from my N8, cannot even connect to that. Disabling and re-enabling the Wifi don't work either.
To make Wifi work again, I have to reboot the phone every time the problem arises. It's really annoying, since I use a lot a Wifi.Sincerely,SabbyjHit the kudos button if I was of any help to you. And don't forget to mark the solution if I get one.

For some use, it would be nice to have wifi function (free hotspot without France per exemple), so I'm looking for solutions on Web. I've found an application "bluetooth-wlan-convert" (!!!) but I can't install it on my 5230 to test it (not compatible). I also have seen a microSD card with wlan function but it seems to work only on Windows CE or Linux based smartphones [URL]. If the price was acceptable, do you think if it could be use on Symbian based phones with an appropriate application ? Do you know other way for having wifi function on phone without wifi ?

When I press on it the only options are Details and Delete the AP. I can't force the phone to connect to a specific AP, which would be nice.If I turn the phone off and on again, it finds the Wifi and connects to it just fine. But it really shouldn't be necessary to reboot it in the first place.
