I have all of my friends' birthdays saved in my Contacts application. Is there a way to get the Calendar application to import that data? It would take hours if I had to enter all of that information again into the Calendar.

The birthdays of my Facebook friends that were imported into my Xperia Pro are all one day early.Ii honestly can't recall if it was PC Companion or the FB app that imported all my FB contacts and their information, but the notifications I'm getting on my calendar all show the friend's birthday as being the day before it actually is. Other than this odd glitch I love the seamless integration with Google Calendar, as much as I love my new phone.

I've worked out you can set the reminder alarm to go off in advance of the birthday so that it acts as a reminder (to get a present!)
Question is - at the top of the appointment details of that particular event there is a grayed out line with my email address with a green suare next to it - i can't click on it or change it, was wondering what that is for
how do I delete the calendar birthday reminders coming up on my phone. I know this is connected to facebook but I do not keep the facebook app turned on all the time on my phone. I have tried goin into the specific date on someones birthday and deleting it but it still comes up on m phone.

Afterwards, I noticed that there has been some discussion (since 2010) around the issue that notifications in respect of birthdays is not possible from the contact list on this handset (that is without paying and installing a third party app to solve the problem.) My question is then: Why does the contact list even allow for input regarding birthdays? Really what is the purpose of this? Does anybody use this in some way? I do not use the phone's calender and it will be a tiresome exersise to update the odd 232 birthdays manually from my contact list to the calander, to get notifications.

So in Windows live a contacts birthday is correct, but in the phone it shows incorrectly day later. How is this possible as my phone gets the contact cards from the Windows live and they should be the same? I have checked the time zones and all match.

View 6 Replies View Related1) I cannot stop the alarms or reminders when phone is in lock state: When the handset is locked and I get a reminder tone for alarm/reminders, then the STOP and SNOOZE buttons on the screen are disabled. I have to snooze the alarm by pressing the red button on the handset, then unlock the mobile and wait for snooze time (also ensure that mobile is unlocked), and then press the STOP button on the screen.
This is creating huge problem, because to stop any alarm or reminder, I have to wait till the snooze time with mobile unlocked.
2) Cannot turn my phone to silence during incoming call when mobile is in lock state: When I receive any call and if the mobile is in locked mode, I cannot make(rather silence button on screen is disabled) the ringing to silent. If the mobile is in unlocked mode, then any incoming call can be made silent by pressing the silence button on the screen. Again here i need to ensure that phone is in unlock state or use the start/stop button on the side of teh phone.......
And I know I can toggle off but I want it to completely dissappear!

When I have a text or message and I bring it up to look at it there's a list of peoples birthday's from facebook and the heading is calenders. My birthdays from contacts show up on my calendar and in the notification center, but I don't get any alert on my iPhone 4 (iOS 7), although I switched everything on in notification centre options, and also set default alert time for birthdays under calendar options on 'day of event (9:00)'. Other calendar events show up as expected, only birthdays fail. Also, birthday alerts do show up on my Mac, but I need the reminder on my iPhone - just missed two birthdays today!!

I got a new torch and I'm totally loving it but I wonder why I dont see my birthday appointments in the calendar? I've synced only the adress book from my old bold 9000 birthdays are still listed in the contacts but they do not appear in my calendar. If I add a new birthday to a contact it does appear. I was sure I had selected to Replace The Data on the Mac, but what happened was that all my contacts got erased on the iPhone and MobileMe.
I was able to put them back together fairly quickly, but I now gave two birthday calanders on my iPhone. Everybody's name is shown twice on their birthday.
I only want to the built in bithday calander that use the data in the Contacts App.
I've created a new contact, but when I enter the person's birthday (8th Feb 1949) and save the contact, it shows up as the 9th Feb.

How can I show these birthdates, anniversary. I know I can enter one birthdate and one anniversary but is it possible somehow to enter more than one and have it labelled (e.g. Mary birthday, Terry birthday, Peter etc) and then show up on the calendar.
