Nokia Navigation :: Favourite Places And Routes Disappeared?
Dec 10, 2011
My favourite places and routes suddenly disappeared. I did not touch the phone since the last time they were there. Especially if you know if I can retrieve from some file the gps coordinates for the favourite places, if they still exists somewhere in the memory of the phone.
C5-03 How can I delete a favourite collection map....Used Ovi map 3.06..It does not work in Ovi suite ( collection is not vissible!) and the phone itself
After recent update of ovi maps on my mobile a strange problem occurs: when I choose one of my favourite destinations the following error appears: 'no route found'. I manually checked the map and found that huge parts of the route are really missing - mostly big parts of south of Bulgaria, including entire map of Plovdiv city, which is the second biggest city in the country.Missing routes on ovi maps
How To Delete Unwanted Routes in Nokia 5230 Nuron(which are under MENU -->Applications -->MAPS -->Favorites -->Routes)It's weird that I can create a route but can NOT delete any?
I recently had my phone changed from a 6720 to a C5-00 (company phone, and the company decided to change telco and the old phones were "locked").I have managed to move my microSD card across which has kept all my pictures, maps and other files. It did not move across the saved GPS places (favourites).I have been struggling to figure out how to do this (I have even tried finding likely files in the phone's memory using a USB link to the computer) and have had no success. Nokia Suite doesn't seem to acknowledge the existence of the GPS "places" (Nokia Suite 3.3.86)
How do I move these waypoints across from one phone to the other?
In the following image, I clicked the four reference points in the obvious order, going from street corner to street corner. That is a radically new way of following roads. Now, pray tell, how can something like this go beyond unit testing
On my C7 Belle I was using tripadvisor within map guides fine until yesterday. Next time I opened maps guides tripadvisor was no more there.Tried by restarting phone and resetting browser cache but never been able to see tripadvisor anymore. The rest of maps app is working fine and other guides like weather, lonely planet, etc etc are still there.
My trusty 6110 Navigator lost its maps on the SD Card due to stupid used error ( I deleted them). As this phone is no longer supported by Nokia ( I presume), my question is how can I get a copy of the Uk Maps to put back on my SD Card to continue using the phone?, or else it becomes a handy paper weight?
Why is it that when I'm creating a route in Maps, the outcome varies dependent on how I created the route, thus using the same route parameters?
I've created the same route using different ways of creating the route, and the created route is different every time. If I create the route in Maps using the search facility, the route is different if I use an address via the people and contacts interface. And again it is different when using Drive.
I made the discovery when a suggested route made a 16.2 km de-tour on a 11 km stretch. More than a 100%. I'm now wondering if I dare to use NOKIA maps for my summer trip to Italy from Denmark.
NOKIA - make a navigation app where I can define my own waypoints. This is essential in every navigation system. optimize the app, so I can choose an alternative route - this is basic in most modern navigation systems.
Before the update i used to have a favourite contacts tab on the second home screen. After i updated the software of my (neo V) it is gone and i couldn't retrieve it. I also couldn't find out how to make favourite contacts after the update.
I installed Nokia Navigation 2.0 with some maps on my Lumia phone. But how can I find out the version of the installed maps? And how can I check the actual existing version of the maps on the Nokia server?
I have been creating all sorts of trails within Ovi maps.I have, in error now created at least 400 "favourite places" while trying to create a trail. These favourite places seem to be slowing down my devices, and I can find no easy way of deleting them. Other than selecting each one and confirming individually.I have deleted the places on the Ovi Maps interface within IE, but I am unable to synchronise the phone to pick up my deletions.I'm guessing I am unable to sync due to the very large number of favourite places I have on the device.
I've tried to delete OVI maps, but I'm guessing its part of the OS...Does anyone know how I can delete them through the file explorer view?
I am using Nokia Drive and Maps on Lumia 710. Say I want to go to a school in a particular area. I need to search for the name of that school and only then set my location. If I try to zoom in to that area on the map, I do not see the school or other places of interest/businesses in that area. This is irritating as in google maps, if I zoom into a location, I get all the businesses/areas on interest in that area. Am I missing something?. If not, then nokia maps needs to have this feature as it is very useful.
If instructions upon page 77 of N9 UG (Eng) not clear enough you do need to download appropriate voice file with street names as none installed by default. After you have chosen "Walking person" icon > Get directions > Navigate you need to tap upon grey tool bar at base of screen After selecting Voice Guidance > tap on select voice to reveal choices available.
I have downloaded the "Own Voice" guidance for navigation but seem to have lost my setting it up. how to set up my own voice? By that I mean, to record my own voice? All I can do as of now is choose "Own Voice" in the Settings -> Walk/Drive -> Voice Guidance. But where to RECORD my own voice?
is it possible to use the satellite view during navigation? Is saw this with the Google Maps navigation app and I'm wondering now, if it's possible with Nokia Maps, too.
Maps 3.08 does not let me calibrate my compass (at least not by ticking once or twice at the compass). By consequence, while navigating it does not orientate the display with the top in the forward direction. I found a workaround by using a separate compass application, calibrate the compass there, and then Maps works perfect. There must be a easier way to calibrate the compass from within the Maps application.
Okay so my problem is that I don't know how to change the favourite text message contact, the one that pops up when you've written your message and are about to send it, in order: "Contacts", "Favourite", "Last used", "Number or email" etc.
The problem is, it isn't one of the favourites that you can add to the widget on the opening screen. If I have the fave widget on my screen, they're all empty.
Anyone know how and where I could change this contact or remove the fave alltogether?
Currently if I try to edit a route that I have saved, it erases all GPS coordinates except for the start/finish points. For example, if I want to add a description or change the name of the route, it erase all data and re-creates my map with a straight line from point a to point b.
I have bought Xperia pro in 3 weeks back... Now facing the problem of Front camera only..Front camera is not working at all (Blank screen)... Main camera is perfectly workingSome times it gives error message "process.com.sonyericsson.android.camera" & ask for forced stop.
when i on my gps on Bold 9930 and enter maps, it finds my location. But if i click on find a location, get directions or favourites there is no response. Those features was working fine before. Please what may cause this problem and what can be the solution??
Under Planning > Routing, the description mentions "hit 'Search routes' and see where other members of the MOTOACTV community in your area like to go". I cannot see the Search Routes option, and using the search box under the My Routes tab does not bring back any results, even my own routes I have saved.
