Jun 7, 2012I installed Nokia Navigation 2.0 with some maps on my Lumia phone. But how can I find out the version of the installed maps? And how can I check the actual existing version of the maps on the Nokia server?

Aug 25, 2011When using check-in you get a list of nearby places to select from. There is a small icon on the upper right corner that seems to be an "add location" feature if your current location is not listed. However that button is always greyed out.
I am using 3.06on and E6 and am logged in properly to maps and have no problems checking in and using existing locations.
My Nokia history:2110 => 6110 => 8110 => 6310 => 2300 => 2600 => 6070 => E71 => N97 Mini => E72 => C7 => E7 => E6 => 700
Nokia Navigation :: Maps Check In Has Stopped Working?
Nov 5, 2012I have a Nokia 5800 Xpress Music. I have happily used maps and the check-in process, but about two weeks ago it stopped working. When I try to check in now, the phone appears to be trying to update the places, but then comes up with the error message "There are currently network problems. Please try again later."I have tried removing my Nokia account, rebooting the phone and reinstalling it. This made no difference.I have also tried deleting the "Cities" folder and then reinstalling the maps via Nokia Suite. Again this has made no difference.

Mar 6, 2010I have the current map version 0.1.23.112 on my device this was updated via Ovi Maps and i downloaded for my Country ie UK.
Now my issue it seems i have the latest maps but every time i put it in Drive mode to Navigate i get a message after a minute telling me need to connect to shop via online, here i get options to purchase for 1 day,10 day,30 day etc.
Assuming I have the latest Maps and according to my Map updater i do than why do i still need to purchase anything i thought the maps were now free?
This has baffled me for a while now and so far i have not been able to use the Navigation system, help would be appreciated.
Also i would like someone to advice me the correct settings i need to have in my Device so that it only uses the GPS to connect to and therefore a free service.

May 5, 2010I own a Nokia E71 and I am very excited about Nokia Maps. I am not a good computer user but somehow managed to land into this forum. I have downloaded Nokia Maps on my Nokia - E71 and its awesome but the voice navigation is not working. When I tried to download Voices using "Map Loader" it shows no entry. I have attached the screenshot of "Map Loader" for your reference.

Aug 6, 2010Navigation used to work fine on my X6, but since having to do a hard reset of the phone (due to other problems!) I cannot use the Navigation.
Everytime I get the error 'navigation cannot start at this location' and it doesn't seem like the phone can ever pick up my location.I have tried un-installing and re-installing the application but to no-avail!I haven't even wasted my time calling Nokia Support, as they are totally useless!

Jul 26, 2010My E63 has just started to show 'system error' when I'm trying to enter a 'to do' appointment in my calendar.The IT guy at work recently updated my 'mail for exchange' settings and had set the phone up to sync mail, contacts and calendar - I usually only sync mail so I turned off the syncing of contacts and calander. Does anyone know if this would cause the error? I've attempted to do a reset using *#7780# 12345 as mentioned elsewhere on this forum but the phone tells me that if wil restore ALL factory settings before I get as far as entering 12345. I really don't want to lose all my data teying to fix this.

Jan 25, 2010Was happily plugging away at my three-day-old N97 and decided to purchase the upgrade for the QuickOffice suite of apps that came preinstalled. Installed the new version, at the end of which the Installer requested a phone restart.When it was starting up, a message stating "system error" popped up. Ever since, I cannot get into the Menu screen, since the same message appears, with an "Ok" item to press. The phone apperas to be working just fine and I can even get into apps by configuring one of the shortcuts in the Standby screen. After backing it up, tried uninstalling all the apps I had recently added, to no avail. In desperation, even reinstalled the firmware via the firmware updater module of the PC Suite, no avail! What should I try to get it back to 100%?

Jul 9, 2010I have Nokia e51 and I've tried to configure MfE on it the same way it works on my other Nokia phone (5230), but although the settings are exactly the same, I keep on receiving "System Error" while synchronizing the email (it looks like this translated from Polish I click 'synchronize' it says 'connected' 'synchronizing email' 'sync failed. Contact your administrator if the problem persists'). The email account is Gmail. My settings:

Access point: (no matter if I set WiFi or WAP or Internet - it doesn't change anything)

Everything is as the setup instructions for MfE at Google Support says and , as I said, it works perfectly on Nokia 5230. The log says: "System error, try again later"
The funy part is that I've tried using two different e-mail accounts: they both display that error but the one that works on my other Nokia apparently downloaded the mail (although it still shows errors everywhere, even the log says it didn't work). The MfE is the most current, I've downloaded it from Ovi store today (3.00.050), my Nokia software is updated too (410.34.001).
Nokia :: N97 System Error Message When Starting Maps
Apr 28, 2010I do get a system error message when starting the maps app. I know that this is not a new topic but I did not find after intensive search a solution.
-Firmware is updated
-soft reset done
-it seems that the app is not installed
-have deleted the cities folder and the qf file
Unfortunately no change maps app does not start. Not sure that this is important but I want to mention this for the sake of completeness.
-the maps did work once
-when I started them the next day and I was at a different location it still showed the location of the
previous evening abnd did not recognize where the phone was
-after some time I could not start the the maps app.
