I just pulled my new N97 mini Comes With Music out of the sales box. I try to register to Comes With Music, and I get a feedback page saying my phone does not support Comes With Music. Imagine my surprise! Anybody else encounter this bug? I've tried again and keep getting the same message.
View 4 Replieswhen I rip and store my CDs in my PC with Ovi Media Player everything's fine, as I see them tagged correctly; then I transfer my music files into the phone (with Ovi Media Player or Ovi Suite) and many of them miss their TAG, showing "Unknown Artist" and "Unknown Album" in the Music Player of the phone.

This broadcom chip comes with some hardware support to many audio format, being more specific, flac. This format is very acclaimed by the audiophile community, without saying I'm one of them. flac is a excellent format since it is a lossless format. Now, knowing this, why Nokia don't add flac support to the default music player? the chip itself support it! What do you guys think about it? How can we suggest this to Nokia?

It should be saved to the e: mass memory, but there is no settings in the application where to change the save location?. The phone automatically makes a folder named "Ovi Music Downloads" in the memory card. It should be created in the mass memory.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI know this has been posted like a hundred times or more and I've followed all the threads around this but if anyone has a new suggestion that would be REALLY apreciated .Have a C-5 with latest firmware. Has around 365 songs in it now but when i add new ones it doesn't see them.Have tried refresh, trashed the databases etc. Reformated the card and loaded them back bit by bit and that worked and then added 9 new ones - that worked. Played it this morning for a few hours and tried to ad some more. Doesn't see them in the refresh. Card is a Sandisk 4gb - should be good - no bad sectors etc

Before I upgrade S60, "refresh" option could be found at
Go to Music ( from main menu ) then go to Music Library( not Music Store ) so the screen displays Artists, Albums etc. Press Options and Refresh Library is second option.
After upgrading, "refresh" disappeared.
I have those old items too, but "Refresh library" is slotted between "Show open apps." and "Go to Music store". Strange how yours isn't showing...
I guess this issue caused by the new SW update(v 11.0.045).

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have upgraded the firmware from v31.0.101 to v50.0.005 and I had the unpleasent surprise to find that the music player is no longer working. It plays only the files stored in the phone memory and is unable to update the library. It shows music files on the memory card that were deleted longtime ago and refresh library does not change anything: always shows refresh complete 0 files added. When I connect the phone to the PC, the Ovi Player doesn't see the phone and even the device manager shows that there is a problem with the portable device (conneced in PC Suite or Media Transfer modes). Done even a hard reset but nothing has changed except that it has lost the applications it had in the phone memory.
