View 5 Replies View RelatedMy phone 5s has reached capacity and when i look at the usage settings it says that i have 15gb of music on my phone. However when i go into my music folder i only have 30 songs. These are not extended remixes which my phone is making them out to be. Is there anything else that would be causing this as I cant do anything with my phone because of limited capacity. Also my icloud only have 4.8gb which i dont think is causing my problem.

Why does all the downloaded music go directly to the f: memory card, when downloading music from Ovi Music Store? It should be saved to the e: mass memory, but there is no settings in the application where to change the save location?. The phone automatically makes a folder named "Ovi Music Downloads" in the memory card. It should be created in the mass memory.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI've had this phone about four or five years, I think. I use the radio and walkman functions more than I use it as a phone.
1. It's got a 512mb stick in it and I'd like to replace it with something with greater capacity - say 4gb or 8gb - do I can put a lot more stuff on it. I spoke to Maplin about a new stick and the chap there said, if the phone is that sort of age, I might be able to go up only to a 1gb or 2gb and should check. Does anyone know the answer please?
2. The handbook (which I have just downloaded) talks about a file manager function, but I can't see it on my phone - is this a problem?
3. I have gone through all the menus and can't see a function to let me format a new memory stick - can I use one without formatting it?
I restored (synced) my new 32 GB 4GS from my 14 GB 3G and now my capacity says I only have 13~GB capacity on my 4S, how do I correct?

when I rip and store my CDs in my PC with Ovi Media Player everything's fine, as I see them tagged correctly; then I transfer my music files into the phone (with Ovi Media Player or Ovi Suite) and many of them miss their TAG, showing "Unknown Artist" and "Unknown Album" in the Music Player of the phone.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have , once, removed my mobile phone from data cable without safety remove and there it gave me lot of troubles. My facebook was not able to be connected through the provided application and my music player stopped working as and stopped refreshing saying that "File corrupted"
Finally. i removed my memory card, formatted it and made it worked.
Nokia should consider fixing these issues as we respect them a lot and think that they are still the #1 hardware vendor and will keep giving us good options than Samsung - android and will compete with apple phones.
I recently got a Kingston 16GB Class 4 microSD (from a reputable source - not ebay - and yes it is a genuine 16GB microSD) for my N8 and want to transfer my music to it, to free up space for photos and video on the phone itself. What I thought should be a simple process, thanks to Nokia, has turned out to be a non-trivial exercise.I naively copied my MUSIC folder to the microSD (F), and then deleted the MUSIC folder on the E drive, and refreshed the library. It went through the process of seemingly refreshing for ages, number of tracks clocking up, but then told me the music library was corrupt and showed nothing. After playing for a while, I decided to reverse the process, put my music back on E and deleted the MUSIC folder from the F drive. Refreshed library and I was back to square one (thankfully), and everything worked as before, but, of course, I still hadn't got my music across to the microSD.
Then I searched these forums and found loads of people had had the same problem. It seems that, (as is often the case) the refresh of the library has bugs, and keeps old files somewhere on the device that should be deleted by the refresh process for it to work properly, but hang around causing problems (thanks Nokia - your software guys strike again)Despite trying to find these 'private' folders, they do not appear to be anywhere on any drive on my N8 (and, yes, I did have show hidden files set)
So, simple question is, how can I successfully transfer my music to the microSD so that it just works? Do i have to delete all 1400 tracks and reload them onto the F drive, and if I do this, will it sort the library problem. Ideally I would appreciate a tried and tested method from someone who has actually DONE it, as I don't want to screw my N8.
I didn't find this question anywhere in the forum and so am posting it. I checked the specs for the E72 on URL... and under the messaging section it says; SMS Storage: up to 999 messages
I have the N82 and know that all S60v3 UI phones support unlimited sms storage (via an option in the settings to store messages on the memory card). Can I know why this is a spec for the E72? Anyone using it can please confirm this option in their phone settings. I want to buy this one - but need clarification on the sms capacity.
I am a bit confused because it states here that the Nokia 2330 Classic can hold only up to 250 messages : URL...
I think it can hold as many messages untill its "free memory / shared memory" is availableWhich one is correct?
Nokia energy profiler shows 1320 mAh as battery capacity for my 808 while the quoted capacilty is 1400 mAh. To double check I also bought PhoneInfoNet from store and checked. IT also shows same thig. Is this reading reliable? Do you folks think it is a battery issue? I can get the battery replaced as the phone is a new one.

The only disappointing thing is, when I open the diagnostic tool and it reads the Battery stats, the read "Total capacity" is not constant, its moving between 1250 mAh-1350 mAh randomly. Shouldn't It be 1450 mAh constantly?

Is anyone else experiencing this or have I gone completely madder?
My N97 is up to date:
N97 mini RM-555
SW v 11.0.045
Before I upgrade S60, "refresh" option could be found at
Go to Music ( from main menu ) then go to Music Library( not Music Store ) so the screen displays Artists, Albums etc. Press Options and Refresh Library is second option.
After upgrading, "refresh" disappeared.
I have those old items too, but "Refresh library" is slotted between "Show open apps." and "Go to Music store". Strange how yours isn't showing...
I guess this issue caused by the new SW update(v 11.0.045).
I don't know why it happened but, I was downloading some music a couple days ago and, all my songs in my music player went to my memory card. I don't know how to get the music back to the player. It sucks because now I have to manually find songs after every song played. No more random play, repeat, equalizer.

1. I have my own tone for incoming sms and it is not a song so I don't what it to be added to my music library in default music player I can't understand in what folder I should put it on SD card? (in other words what folder is not scanning for music by default music player).
2. In what folder I should put my music files by default? SoundsMusic? If I will put it in this folder my music library will be updating automaticly with new files from this folder?
3. Do you have any description of folders in memory/SD card and what content is expecting to be in these folders.
My phone said "memory full, delete some data",Ever since, all my tracks bar 3 are not showing on the memory card, neither are about 90% of my sound, image and video files.
Basically, my memory card is only showing a very small number of files and the rest I cannot access. Phone is N73 that caused this. Memory card is Mini SD.Ive used data cable and is still the case on the laptop, also tried memory card reader. Still exactly the same only showing small number of actual files. I can see the folder names however it says empty. But in properties it still recognizes the fact that that 1.9GB is used of 2.0GB. However I can only access about 100MB of those files.
I bought a 32GB MicroSD card for my N8 so that I had enough capacity to store all of my MP3s. Unfortunately I can't convince Ovi Music Player to sync music to that location. It always tries to sync the music to the N8's 16GB internal storage area despite there not being enough capacity to do so. Is there any way to configure either Ovi Music Player or the N8 to use the MicroSD card exclusively for the music library?
