Nokia :: N97 / Software Update Client / All Apps Are Up-to-dated
Jan 28, 2010
Could any one tell me why, since I updated to v 20, my Software update client always says all applications are up-to-date?It was not important until now with Maps 3.3.I am running v20.0.19, RM-505 Language set: Spain (05),unbranded.
I am hoping someone can help me, i dont have anything on my phone regarding the ovi store, but in my apps manager there is ovi store client (461kb),its on my phone memory (not mass memory),i keep on trying to uninstall it ,it does remove, but when i go back in to have a look, the damn things there again,i just continue to try and remove it but it keeps on coming back!
With the update of Microsoft applications email client is not working. Two icons namely..freestyleemail and email widget..have cropped up...and unfortunately none are working as on clicking icons dpn't open or response.
I keep getting emails on my phone that are dated december 31, 1969 6:00 pm. My Yahoo account is the only one that is doing this, and it only happens on my phone (Atrix)! When I log in to my account via the pc, all emails are dated appropriately, and when I plug my phone in to the lapdock all emails are dated appropriately! What gives? If I remember correctly, this actually started happening right before I updated to gingerbread, but it might have been with the update itself. All of the Motorola forum emails are dated with the dec. 31 date as well as some of my emails from different sites I have subscribed to (outlet shopping sites like Beyond the Rack and such). Why is this happening ONLY on my phone, and not when the phone is displaying on the lapdock? How do I fix this?
I can't get the default email client to behave like a pop3 client. Apart from some small bugs, like if inbox is empty you can't get to your sent folder, I can send and receive emails properly. However, I can't find a normal pop3 setting Leave mail on server. Which means it will download all new messages from the server, and nothing else. Now it more or less behaves like a mapi client and syncs against the server and removes all messages from the inbox that I have deleted from the server. But I want to have the messages on the phone until I delete them.Any email program out there that I can use on the Nokia E7 that can be used as a normal pop3 client? Apart from this email problem I would say that Nokia E7 is the best phone I have had so far. If I only could get the Nokia E7 hardware and use N900 software it would be perfect
Using 5.02 and the email client only syncs when I update the time period or incoming server settings. I have two other accounts, one pop and one exchange, that work without issue. This imap account won't sync. If I delete and reinstall it works for a while and then the problem comes up again.
I am looking for a good e-mail client for the N97, I don't want to use the Nokia one,I would like something close to Outlook, supporting unlimited number of mailbox.as I look after several businesses and need to monitor several mailboxs possibly with auto send=receive on all of them unlike the Nokia one, that use to be limited to only one auto send-receive
I have an existing account with intervoip (a voip client app program) and i would like to set it up on my nokia 5800. iv heard i may have to install the 'nokia voip framework' to configure voip settings but it is very confusing.
Also i dont really wana use 3rd party apps such as "fring" but if this is the only option, then i will. and if 3rd party apps are recommedned, could you also give me an example account to fill in, showing where i would need to put my account details etc.
I have to admit that I'm really disappointed about the quality of the mail client on the E72. I assumed that the E72 as a business device will cover e-mail, the most important business app, in a satisfying way which is not the case.
The datasheet states that IMAP idle is supported which as far as I can tell is not the case. Whatever settings you try to change the connection to the IMAP server is terminated after some minutes and no notification on new emails will take place.
In addition you are able to define multiple connection points with priority but you are not able to use them by the mail client in this way. You either have the possibility to set only one specific connection point or you have to select the desired on each time the device tries to connect to your mail servers.
What I expect is to specify different WLAN access points and UMTS of my provider with different priorities and the device is using whatever is available at my current location taking priorities into consideration.
It's a pain to see how easily and self-evident all these work on the iPhones of my business partners.I'm a loyal Nokia user since the early days of mobile communication but I have to admit that this time I seriously consider defecting to the dark side.
I have N97 with up-to-date firmware. I installed NM, as per instructions on email.nokia.com through the phone browser - no problems there. When I start Email application (from Menu/Applications/Menu) it goes though email setup process which ends with successful creation of an email account in Messaging folder. Once set up is completed and Email client application is run again, it goes again to email setup and does not start nokia email client.Within the whole process, there was no option to register to Nokia Messaging account.I can receive and send emails, but through basic SMS-type client. How can I get NM client running?
On my E63, when I try to download podcasts using wifi it starts, gets up to about 20% or so then the download stalls. If I 'stop' then 'resume' the download it'll get a couple % more, then do the same again.
It's set to download to my storage card, which has lots of free space, and there's nothing wrong with the wifi connection usually. Does anyone know how to fix this? It's made the app unusable.
Besides the fact that IMAP idle is not working and that the "sent items" folder is not synchronized with Nokia messaging, I now have another showstopper: While the email client has an active connection, I cannot call anymore! I get - no matter which number I am dialing - a busy signal. First, I thought it would be the network. But then I disconnected the email client and the calls worked perfectly.
I've had my 5800 for a couple of weeks now and when I got it I set up my gmail account with the built in email client under messaging. Everything was working fine. Since yesterday I have not been able to get any new emails to show up on my phone. I've deleted and re-added the mail box and old messages show up and I can view older emails but no new ones? I've checked all of my gmail settings, and I do in fact have new emails sitting there but no joy.
I purchased this phone a few days ago, and out of the box the IM client wasn't on my phone. I updated firmware to most recent version, and still don't have access to the client.
I'm experiencing a problem with the built-in e-mail client (NOT nokia e-mail) on my Nokia X6. When I try to Connect to my Gmail-Inbox (IMAP), it begins to trigger a connection. But just when it is connected the phone disconnects and the two arrows on the tab disappear.Does any one have the same problem? Nokia E-Mail isn't a suitable alternative for me.
I have recently downloaded the new version of Nokia Messaging for the E71. My principal problem: It successfully installs, although when I setup an email - it gets placed in the messaging folder. It does not look anything like the image attached. Rather, I access my email through the messaging / SMS folder directory. The version of Nokia Messaging is 9.07 from the messaging.nokia.com website. Has anyone had success in setting up the email client?
I have tried several setting, and changed my default email setting to "Nokia Messaging". Furthermore, when I select the "@" icon for Nokia Messaging (Not the Install Icon) - I am asked for a password? What password would that be? I am slightly lost? Any pointers. Right Now, we are ready to just uninstall the Messaging Client completely.
I read everywhere, including Nokia website, that I can download the official WLM client for my 5800 from Ovi store. However, I cannot find it anywhere, no matter how hard I search. When I search for "windows live" in Ovi, the only results are Nimbuzz, eBuddy and IM+. Where do I find WLM for my 5800?
When I lunch my nokia store the screen be dark and nokiastoreclient is works in background. But store contents cannot be loaded. I tried to uninstall ovi store but I can't do it and the "removing canceled" message appears however in this case online installation is impossible.
Anyone got problem with emails not being updated correctly?Have 3 POP3 accounts in my E6 and tested sync "soonest" and "15min" and never updates it for new emails, not even when i hit "z" it seems to sync correctly.Even sometimes it does, the overview screen/Home screen is stuck with preview from old emails.Hate this because if the email does not work properly it is completely useless for me. This works perfect on my E71 and E72.
access skydrive on my Nokia E-6 and finally I found a client to do so. Thought I would share it here The client is called Skyfiles and you can find on Ovi Store?
from last week social client & nokia blogs not working. Facebook / Twitter / Conversations / Blog etc... are not opening. Get a blank white screen with only option to exit. Surprisingly the social widget is getting updated with posts from both Facebook & Twitter! But if i click to open then its the same issue...
i have a Nokia 701. Recently updated with latest software. After updating formatted the phone and mass memory and lost the store client. Tried to install from store.ovi.com and beta labs but after 99% complition it says unable to install.how to install the client.
I want to setup the e-mail client to connect to the access points according to their priority, the same way Web browser does. E.g. when set to connect to Internet category, it should first try to connect to WiFi, and if it's not available, connect to a packet data account. Can I do that with E72?
I am using E72 for 2 months, but since then I am unable to login Yahoo msgr from the Nokia chat client. The error is Code: 409 i.e. Invalid yahoo ID or password, though, I provided the correct ID and password, while keeping the case sensitive nature of password in mind.
This problem is only coming with yahoo.Gtalk and other services are working fine.Tried using fring also, but that too is not working with....
The ID and password are absolutely correct. Should I have to change some settings in yahoo account? Also the mail client is working fine with yahoo.m getting the emails.
for a very long time I've been searching for a working OVI Store application for my (Don't kill me now!) Sony Ericsson Satio phone (Jailbreaked), which runs exactly the same OS as the Nokia 5800, Symbian S60V5. It is such a pity that I cant find any applications for my SE ANYWHERE, so I've tried numerous versions of the Ovi Store in my phone. One of them started up, but told me "Resource not exist" when I tried clicking something, one of them didn't start at all, and most of them were unable to install.
