I am having a memory problem with my N97,When trying to upload the new version of Ovimap, the installation stops because of lack of memory, it asks that I delete some and start again.Have been into file manager and had a look to see I could delete, already deleted most of my apps and messages like it says on other answers.
View 4 RepliesI can send my location into my facebook account, but the delivered map link does not work. The link is opened, but no map.If I take the map link as copy/paste in properties I can open the link.Same thing happens, if I send a point from ovimap in suite.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have an N97 since last year the phone is working well have only 1 little problem my phone memory is full but didn't install anything on it installed all applications or games music and videos are on mass memory the only software installed on phone memory are phone platform maps etc. which was already preinstalled when bought phone the problem that I have is when try to update for eg maps the phone says to me "memory full remove some application before make installation" have tried to remove maps from phone but and try to reinstall it on mass memory but didn't get choice to choose between phone memory or mass memory. as I see all Nokia original application are installed on phone don’t have any choice to transfer it no mass memory...therefore when phone memory is full the phone platform is slow to response want to know if someone have a solution for me.

View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen in 'My Position' mode, the map moves to follow you as you move, however, it does not rotate. Is this due to the 5800's lack of a built in compass? If not, how can I enable this? Pressing the compass icon achieves nothing. Is there a way to manually rotate the map? Again, messing about with the compass icon has no yieled results.In navigation mode, when a route has been set, your current speed is shown, along with warnings when you go too fast, along with speed camera information. Is there anyway to activate these features without setting a route? I'd like these features when I'm out on a random drive, and have not decided a destination. E.g. having them in 'My Position' mode.Also, I do not have a data package, and so have A-GPS disabled, in Locations -> Positioning settings under applications, and have only integrated GPS activated. I've been wondering whether there is a charge for Network Positioning though? It seems as if all it does it find the mast you're connected to.

I have seen many phones with facebook, twitter and so on that updates automaticlly on the home screen. I think that this phone would be alot better with it, and i am sure im not alone that thinks so.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have updated by n8 with Anna and Maps 3.08, 11wk41 b02, map version 0.2.43.117. It works fine except when driving to a destination on a freeway / motorway. The roadway is a gray color that blends into the background and even though it zooms in at interchanges it is small. Thus, at 70 MPH you cannot clearly see where to turn without staring at the scene, very dangerous. This makes it unusable and unsafe for freeway driving and it must be changed. Can I go back to the old version, or do I just start using my Tom Tom GPS and dump the phone.

View 3 Replies View RelatedCouple of days ago I've noticed that my phone E51 is lack of "OK" button - to be more precise: when I'm creating new SMS/ MMS message and I'm going to add contact, the cell phone displays all my contacts, I can select one or more persons but can not confirm by OK button (normally placed at left lower corner of the screen) because there is not "OK" letters and linked button doesn't respond.
See picture below - there is OK button, mine E51 doesn't have that on.Additionally my contact groups are missing and I can not display them - they are gone.I've reset my phone with the code *#7???# but notching changed. Afterwards I've tried to upload my contacts' backup to my cell phone - and PC suite said there is synchronization problem - but nothing more... "Contact's can not be synchronized"...
I installed ovi map 3.3 on my n97 today. The weather and some other feature won't run. It simply gives me a running sign on the upleft corner of the icon, but does not really run. Anyway, I want to reinstall it. However, I can't find ovi map in the installed apps list. Not on the phone or from pc suit.

When i select the update, press options it just says update on pc. and i have a mac and am unable to find the update software. there is no option to start update like normal. is there any way around this?
View 6 Replies View RelatedJust when I think the E75 cannot get any worse (it has slightly worse reception than 2 tin cans and a bit of wet string!!), Nokia send me a OS upgrade that will "result in improved performance"! Tragically, it continuously comes up with the great message "Installation failed due to lost connectivity; do not disconnect USB connection during installation"! Now, whilst I am not the sharpest tool in the shed,even I can see that disconnecting the cable would not be condusive to a successful software upgrade, so of course I am not doing that! I am about to wind the clock back over 10 years and resort to my trusty 6150.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI got the Nokia e63 in April 2010. One of the things I did first was:
1. Update Ovi Store app on the phone
2. Ran Nokia Maps on the phone (applicaiton already on the phone) or downloaded Ovi Maps from the Ovi Store - cant remember.
3. Regardless of how I did (2) I managed to install country maps for specific areas (US New York, UK etc) by using Ovi PC Suite
So all ok so far. Now I started putting more applications and games on the phone but it kept getting slower and slower - to a point it would not render the screen properly or mix two screens into one. I have a 2 gig memory card in it with only less than 20% in use - the phone memory had over 80Meg free. So really could not understand why it performed so badly. Anyway I spent several hours resetting the phoning and doing all the above again - but OVi Maps does not install any more (I get Installation Failed message).
To add more headache - the internet was very slow and I had to attempt several times to update Ovi Store after each reset - finally gave up and had to use a WLAN connection. When I go to the Ovi Store web site on my pc and find Ovi Maps - there is now a message saying its not available for e63. Yet that was not what I recall because I have installed Ovi Maps on the phone before and installed the additional country maps on several occassions (the last one being as recent as May 2010 - last month) All of a sudden Ovi Maps is not compatible with the Nokia E63? The Ovi Store app on the phone gives no indication of compatibilty issue with the phone - so you can keep downloading it and using up your internet allowance and it keeps failing to install without giving any useful message.
Missing from the list is the problem where we install 3.04 from the automatic update, start it, and after 2 seconds Maps suddenly exits and returns to the home screen.I am using a C5 in the USA, and according to the box the phone is an asia version.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI've got a Nokia N8 and wanted to get "weather maps". I already have the Nokia weather application, and the SPB Weather application as well. After looking around on the internet, I found some good information recommending "Weatherbug" for the N8. Info can be found here:[URL] I tried to downloadn and install the program. I got a message that doing so might also require downloading other software that might be up to 12 megs or so. (I guessed this was QT, which I already have from my installation of Nokia Bubbles.) I downloade the sofware, and got a message that I then had to get the first of two downloads. After the download, the installation failed, and I got a message that I should click on an icon for something like "smart install" to continue.Clicking on "Smart Installer ADM" gets me to "Continuing Installation Weather Bug".I need to connect to the internetI so I click on "connect this time". Eventually my phone downloads the first of two software downloads, and then the installation fails. I have to first update "QT" or something?

View 3 Replies View RelatedWas happily plugging away at my three-day-old N97 and decided to purchase the upgrade for the QuickOffice suite of apps that came preinstalled. Installed the new version, at the end of which the Installer requested a phone restart.When it was starting up, a message stating "system error" popped up. Ever since, I cannot get into the Menu screen, since the same message appears, with an "Ok" item to press. The phone apperas to be working just fine and I can even get into apps by configuring one of the shortcuts in the Standby screen. After backing it up, tried uninstalling all the apps I had recently added, to no avail. In desperation, even reinstalled the firmware via the firmware updater module of the PC Suite, no avail! What should I try to get it back to 100%?

Yesterday I decided to update phone software (now updated to V35.2.001) and now I can not install mail for exchange at all.Earlier at least one could download it from Nokia's web site on a pc and install it on phone. I have not figured out a way to download it to PC. When going to thru OVI store, it downloads the application and then just gives the error message, installation failed.
Is there any place where phone stores log of installation activities that can help me to figure out possible problems?
On my C5, nokia internet radio pulls up in the Ovi store as a compatible application. After download, when it goes to install, it fails.
