How many people didn't get a N97 stylus in the box? I bought mine a few months ago and I didn't get the stylus. I didn't know N97 comes with one until someone asked me about my stylus! I bought my phone at optus telechoice shop in Australia. Does this means my phone is fake or something. How can I tell if my phone is a geniune nokia product? I don't like this 'made in china' thing!

View 5 Replies View RelatedI've just bought a Nokia 5800 handset recently. It seems to me that even though I actually saved a contact's number in my phone, when he messages me the phone inbox only shows his number and not his name, even though I already saved his number under my phonebook.
Is there anyway to solve this such that it'll display his name instead? Its kind of pointless if I have to keep checking back to my phonebook to see who has messaged me, since I don't remember my friend's numbers and stuff.
On a note I saved all of my friend's number without the region number. That is as im living in Singapore, a contact's number would be saved as follows: 91234567 without the region code of +65. Thing is in my inbox all the phone number displayed shows the region code of +65 along with the number, but seriously even my super old phone can recognise that both 91234567 and +6591234567 are of the same person and displays the name correctly in the inbox.
I've been using my nokia 5800 for like 5 months or so? and my stylus doesn't fit very well in its slot now due to wear and tear. By shaking it, my stylus will drop out. Any remedies for this?
and, after updating my firmware to the latest version, my camera hotkey is very buggy. Sometimes it doesn't work and I have to restart in order to get it to work. Anyone has a similar problem?
also, I had a glitch in composing a message one day, and the application just hanged. So, I restarted the phone and found that all my messages went missing. Any way to recover all my lost smses? and no, it's not in the phone memory, I stored them all in the memory card. All the other things(contact, settings, ringtones, music, videos, pictures) in the memory card are all intact.
on gps+data can fined my location,but on gps-only mode it cannot i used gps status app and cannot fine any information on every gps modes.

The problem is that the emails go straight to my general "Messages" inbox, but nothing shows up in my Gmail account inbox when i click on that specific icon. I do have SMS/MMS broken out into a separate inbox, but i'd like to use the gmail inbox where it threads messages with the same topic instead of the general messages inbox.tried resending service books.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI don't know why this happened, I woke up this morning and it was like this. Whenever I try to open my email inbox the SMS inbox opens. Even if I go directly to my individual accounts on my BB (yahoo and gmail) and try to open them directly, it still opens my SMS inbox. I can't figure this out and can't find an answer. I have to check all my emails my going onto a computer. I still get notifications of new emails on my BB, but can't view them because only the SMS inbox will come up. I need my email inbox to show when I click on my email inbox.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI discovered this evening while wiping the screen with a micro-fiber cloth while there was a scrollable list on the screen that my finger touches were registering right through the cloth!So I played with that a little bit and I thought that was sorta clumsy tryingto keep thecloth wrapped around my finger.I wondered if finger touches would register if I was wearing a finger cot.So I tried one and was stunned when it WORKED!!It worked right through the latex or whatever they are made from.You can get them at the drug store. Just ask for finger cots at the pharmacy. If they don't know what they are, some people call them Mexican condoms. No offense intended for any hispanics on the board.Just roll it on your finger as far as is comfortable. All you need is to cover the tip of your finger.

I got a user whos just recently upgraded to the E72. After the inital setup of MFE, she noticed that her inbox was empty, I tried reinstalling the mailbox, restarted the E72, it didn't work. I then tried putting her sim in my own E72, setting up the mailbox, using her settings, then my inbox got deleted and left empty. I swapped SIM again, and was slightly going into panic as my inbox was still empty after I applied my MFE settings, a reboot however, fixed it. Then I tried deleting/moving what was in her inbox on the PC, still no success. I then tried putting the sim in a old E61 and this time it registrered a test email. So the inbox seems to work on the E61 and not the E72 for some strange reason.

Currently I have one for the messaging application, but that requires me to click "down" (to select Inbox) and then "open".I've searched around a bit and it doesn't seem possible - you can only define shortcuts for applications. But wouldn't it be possible to make an app that opens the inbox and point a shortcut to it? If such an application for S60 exists, I would appreciate if someone could link to it.Yeah, I know it's just two extra clicks the current way, but it's these kind of small things I find annoying with my new Nokia phone (a 6730 classic) - "with so many options, why can't I configure something this basic?". View 4 Replies View RelatedI use a Nokia N900. I have successfully connected the phone to my email provider using IMAP4/SSL. I can view incoming email notifications, and send new messages. I can also browse the content of all folders, except for the "inbox" folder.The way my provider (Rackspace.com) sets up the email account, all folders reside under the "inbox" folder. It appears that the N900's email application does not recognize the "inbox" folder as location which contains both sub folders and messages; when I try to open the "inbox" and list messages, the application briefly shows the busy indicator, but then nothing happens (it does not show the folder content). I can successfully view the content of any other folder (which does not have sub folders), it's just the "inbox" which is giving me problems.Is there a solution to this problem?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to find the best way to view my large IMAP inbox on the N900. If I set it up as a new IMAP account the email app hangs for a good minute or two everytime I open it due to my inbox having ~10,000 messages. There are no settings to only get the last X days or to download just the headers or new messages.
So I've tried adding my IMAP account via Nokia messaging. This works o.k in that I can set it to view only the last X days but for some reason it keeps marking my emails as unread.
I open up this inbox in any other mail client & everything is read, I go via nokia messaging and they're unread. I manually open them all on my phone to mark them read but if I go back a couple of hours later they're all unread again.Any idea if they'll be an update to the default IMAP client to give it more options? or does anyone know what is going wrong with nokia messaging?
whenever i get a msg and i open it .it shows the different received time.it is far behind the original time been set in the mobile. is there any settings that i could change it.the mobile model is nokia 2700 classic and i bought it just two days before. it is happening for all the msg by different people.is there any solution for this? is there any settings i could change to get the right timing?. i highly depend on the received timing since i could not get when exactly the people sent msg to me.help me with this?

I had to remove the battery and put it back to make phone working, but then I was shocked to see that inbox was empty! I'm confused as what would've been wrong. I had around 5000+ texts. This is what happens.I'm messaging on my mobile and sending and receiving messages normally.I open a message and go to reply.While in the editor, a message is received.I finish off my reply and send it.When I return to my inbox, however to check the new message, it's not there and the icon for message is adamant.Moreover, there is some old message at the start of the inbox (as 1st message) which is some deleted message of a long time ago. (This message is constant. It's some kind of a picture message I received from a friend and it was of a format my mobile did not recognise, so I deleted it. I can't understand how it keeps coming back. There are two such messages.)I turn off the power and turn it back on in a few seconds.I go back to inbox and there is the new message.This has been going on for a long time and now even the warranty is at an end.
When I send a file from a phone or computer it goes straight to my inbox and the pictures and videos will save to my gallery but there is no option for me to save songs, yet it will let me set them as a ringtone.
