Does anyone know how to change the default Calendar settings? Each time I schedule a meeting the time change does not reflect an hour block of time, it has the meeting begin and end at the same time. Also, I have to manually select the alarm button each time.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have the Verizon S5 SM-G900V running 5.0, I use OK google to set up things like the days I work, Where I'm working, Who I'm working for, Dr. Appointments etc. Well when setting up these things using OK google voice command it automatically defaults to reminding only 15 minutes before the event. I need a full day notice so if someone asks me a day before hand if I'm available the next day I'll already know. Instead as it is right now if I forget I have Dr appointment it only gives 15 minutes notice and with my Dr being 45 min drive away this is just not sufficient. (MORE DETAIL) I am in fact using the google calendar on my phone and not the samsung calendar.
I have went to google calendar on my laptop clicked on the gear and went to calendar settings and changed that to default 1 day for both settings listed there and saved. I know this won't change past submissions but it didn't default to 1 day on new submissions on OK google. I even manually synced the calendar and tried again. The old phone I had (LG Exceed 2) allowed me to set a setting in the calendar settings to default events to remind 1 day in advance. But no matter where I go in the S5 (google settings,calendar settings, OK google settings) Or even web calendar settings I can't find a way to make it work?? This is a big nuisance for me to have to manually change it every time.
with the tiny screen size of the mini pro, I find the language bar that comes up when typing with the hardware keyboard very, very irritating. I mean, who in the world needs to quickly change keyboard languages in the middle of a text message?So, back under 1.6, I found out that you could just uncheck the Default Input Settings box under "Language and Keyboard" and the stupid bar would go away. All I did was uncheck it once, and everything was great!But, being greedy, I updated to the 2.1 update1 Singapore firmware, and now the langauge bar is back. I can go into the settings and uncheck it the default input settings box, and in some random amount of time, it will magically reenable itsself. I probably do this about 10 times a day, which is seriously imparing my enjoyment of the phone. I've tried using advanced task killer to autokill backround applications and processes, but I can't seem to make any progress on this.
View 1 Replies View Relatedupgraded my X3-02 to firmware 5.60, but failed to backup before the update. The results, an empty fone with a new firmware, with everything else is now gone. The fone settings, certificates, apps, even OVI store now is not in the phone anymore.Trying hard to find all over the net to find solution for this. I thought maybe if i can at least get Ovi Store back, then i can install back all the missing apps. However its impossible to find the Ovi Store installer for X3-02 anywhere. Trying to install apps through web browser always give me certificate error. always.
I figured, maybe, just maybe, the best thing to overcome this is for someone to help me on the backup. Maybe other X3-02 user can help, if you dont mind, backup your data settings + applications into a file, and send it to me so i can restore that to my fone. dont mind any extra games@apps Some default apps (e.g: facebook) are not available to install from anywhere, isk. also i need back the missing certificates, and owh, OVI store!

View 1 Replies View RelatedAm facing a peculiar problem with my Blackberry Calendars.A brief background of the situation : I have 3 email ids synced to my Blackberry Bold 9000 (OS 5.0.0.681). However, none of the emails have any calendars associated with them. I sync my Address Book & Calendar entries through Outlook 2010. At this stage, there are 197 entries in the Calendar, all marked in Blue. Default Services does not show an CICAL option. Neither is there any CICAL in the Service Book.When I install the Facebook app (1.8 or above), all calendar entries get marked in Red and named as Facebook. Default Services starts showing a CICAL option with only one entry "Facebook". A Facebook CICAL is added to the Service Book. There is no option or entry for any other Calendar.
The problem is that all the entries under Facebook are the same 197 as the Outlook entries. No entries from my Facebook account are added to the device. So it is as if the Outlook Calendar has been renamed as Facebook Calendar without any Facebook entries being added to the database. The entries are not duplicated under Facebook. Just that original Outlook Calendar has now become the Facebook Calendar.I would like to have both these Calendar entries (Outlook & Facebook) on the device as many of my business associates / clients etc are on my Facebook profile and i would like some reminder of their bdays etc too.Things that I have tried so far to rectify this are as follows. Each process has been repeated multiple times with no change in results:
1) Re-set up the Facebook Calendar Entries association in the Facebook App > Options
2) Deleted Facebook CICAL from Service Book and then re-associated the App as above
3) Re-installed the Facebook app after deleting the Facebook CICAL.
I have six email accounts and want to know if it is possible to move calendar entries to my default calendar from the other five. Well, I like my calendar to appear on my today screen but not just the default calendar entries, I want to truly capture my day on the today screen. With my limited BB knowledge I think this may be the easiest way to achieve what I am loooking for. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have been trying to reach an email setup on my N97 mini that I am happy with and so far have struggled and given up on the hopeless nokia email client, and am now having problems with setting destinations for automatic email retrieval. I have my internet destination set to prioritize to different wlans and then WAP. This is my default connection.
I have a gmail and a pop3 email account, set up for automatic retrieval, however they don't pull in any mail if the access point in use is set to default connection. If its set to WLAN, it works, if its set to contract WAP, it works, and if its set to default connection it works for manual connection but not automatic retrieval.
What makes it worse is I am sure it was set up and working last week? Any thoughts please? I am getting so frustrated with the error prone nature of email on this phone I am thinking of going back to my trusted N95 8GB.

1) Regarding 3G and WLAN, how to manage switching between both ? Ideally, I would like the phone to switch to any known WLAN when available, and use 3G for data only when no WLAN is accessible. Is it possible to automate that, or should I manage the switch by hand ?
2) Regarding mail connectivity, I see 3 options : default connection, full internet, mobile internet. Only full internet weems to work to access an internet mailbox. What is the difference between all 3 ? Again, I would like my mailbox tu use a WLAN connection as preferred one, and switch to 3G only when needed.
I'm on Vodafone and so the number to listen to my voicemail is 121. However, when I dial 121 the call instantly gets disconnected and a message "number not in use" appears.
I was playing with the "Call Divert" settings under the "Settings" menu, but I'm sure that everything is fine there, but if someone wants to confirm the default settings I'd appreciate it.

I�m facing a strange problem my calendar events since January 1st aren�t displayed.I tried to reset the device (hard reset) but when I recovered the backup I faced the same problem.Is there anyway to delete just the Calendar data? I am asking it, because I would like to try a full resync (through Mail for Exchange) to try to solve the problem...

I love listening to music from every genre, but I find that the default "None" or flat equalizer settings are pretty terrible. I've gone through the various presets available, but none of them are perfect for a wide range of musical selections. View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an Xperia Z3 Dual phone. I have a coorporation SIM inserted in SIM1 and a mobile net SIM for 4G connection in SIM2. That means SIM2 can't even handle phone calls, only mobile internet.
But since there isn't any options to choose default SIM for outgoing calls (ie. similar like mobile internet has already), a message pops up every time I would start a call, to choose SIM. That is really annoying considering only SIM1 can handle phone calls.
(But that would be kind the same if I'd like to use coorporation SIM for outgoing calls and use private SIM only for receiving calls...)
I have the 200MB plan and use the internet when I am ONLY on WiFi networks. However, while exploring 2.2, I recall seeing a setting that, if the WiFi connection drops, the new setting stops the Bravo from using the 3G. If the Bravo changed over to 3G to maintain the internet connection (apparently the default setting), massive data charges would be incurred. I have tried to re-discover this setting but no success to date. Any way to use / change this "WiFi to 3G" setting?

I can't seem to find that on the D4 and it would nice to have as the phone's default in call volume seems to be 100% which leads me to be continually turning down the volume on every call.
