Jun 18, 2010Whenever I touch the screen of my nokia n97 it give a very weak and irritating vibration and I have no idea how to stop it!

Nokia Nseries :: N97 Touch Screen Vibration Won't Stop?
Jul 6, 2012my nokia n97 mini has just started vibrating every time i touch the screen, and it's driving me crazy!. I've checked that the touch screen vibration setting is off, and it is, and have tried turning it on and off again, and turning the phone off and on again. I've had the phone for a year and this problem has just begun in the last few days.

Mar 15, 2010I have an N97 and every day now the screen will stop responding to touch input. I think this is a hardware issue as I have always updated the firmware as soon as its released and I have the same problem no matter the firmware. Resetting and turning off/on again doesn't solve it. Just have to lock the screen and rub my thumb over the entire screen and it seems to start working again. Could part of the touch screen be getting stuck down?

Jun 3, 2015I bought a HTC M7 (Verizon unlocked) with a broken screen. (stock rom, not modified at all, and with android lollipop). After I replaced the screen, I turned it on and it worked just fine. But after using it for a while I noticed that the notification bar wouldn't come down, so I assumed maybe it was a connection that was giving me that problem and disassembled it again. I checked everything again, made sure everything was in place and reassembly it again.
When I tried to turn it back on, I just got a vibration... and a Black screen. Tried to turn it on again, but again just a vibration and a black screen (not sound at all). I plugged it in my computer and the computer makes the sound that something is plugged in, but the phone does not appear connected (recognized). Also, the charging red light, won't come on. (not even with the charger or connected to my computer)
I've tried:
1) Hold power button + vol/down = just vibration
2) Hold power button + vol/up = just vibration
3) Hold power button + vol/up+down (for about 2 minutes) = just vibrates over and over during that time
4) Previous steps under a bright light. Literally I stepped on a table and did it under a light bulb, and nothing.
I'm quite desperate and sad because it was working great (except for the notification bar), and now it won't turn on... just freaking vibrate..
I left the phone charging during the night and the green light came up in the morning. I tried to turn it On while connected, but the green light disappeared and it vibrated again once...

Mar 10, 2015So since this phone does not have an LED light, the only way to know when you have a message is via Moto Display, right? Well, now the display comes in anytime there is any vibration, its diving me nuts. The MotoDisplay has no options other than on/off? I really just want the screen to turn on when I either have a new message or when I wave my hand over it, NOT when it senses vibrations. If the phone is on my couch, the display comes on all the time. Even when its on my desk, it can sense when i drop a folder or book on it and the screen turns on. Are there really no ways to turn off the vibration sensors?????

Now, there is an option in Settings -> Location & Security -> Use tactile feedback. It only works partially. It enabled fingerprint authentication produces one short and one long vibration. When disable it is down to one short vibration. I am curious is this a bug or a feature?

When people call me, my phone does vibrate and the ring tone plays.but if I remember correctly, the notification light may or may not work at times when receiving an sms and the screen does not lit up upon receiving it too (if I'm correct, not sure now since I didn't notice when the problem occurs). Then pressed and held back key to find there is no active application or IE running. Nov 19, 2012I have a US ATT White Lumia 920. Here are the steps to replicate the problem:
1. Switch phone to vibrate only: Press the volume rocker and hit the bell on top right to switch the phone in to vibrate only mode. 2. Play music on phone: Plugin headphones or play music on the phone speaker through any music app. 3. Call your phone from another phone.
Expected Behavior: As with any phone when you play music on the phone and get a call, the phone should pause/stop the music and play your ringtone/ caller tone. After the call has ended the music should continue.
Issue/Bug: The phone does not pause/stop the playing music when a call comes. However the phone does vibrate. This is a problem and has lead to missed calls when the phone is in my jacket pocket or bag where the vibration cannot be felt.
