Nokia Lumia :: 710 Body Heating Up Excessively?
Mar 8, 2012I have a month old Nokia 710. My phone's body heats up excessively when 3G is on and in sometimes while talking. With 3G on, it is always. While on call, it happens sometimes. I have updated to latest using Zune. I am thinking this is a glitch in WP7 and can be fixed with a OS firmware update but maybe the handset is also at fault?

Dec 12, 2015I recently bought a 950XL and everything was working fine until this morning. I had put it up for charge early in the morning around 4 and when I got up at 8 and held it, it was hot, and I wasn't sure what was going wrong because there was nothing open. So I switched it off for a while and let it cool. When I switched it back on, the battery went down to 51% and now I've put it up for charge again. I had turned on Hey Cortana last night but since the phone started acting up this morning, I decided to switch it off. It's still warm though, not sure why. Also, it keeps giving me an error about the phone having low storage even though I've only used around 7.9 GB out of the 29 GB available.

Nov 22, 2012Today I received 2 Nokia wireless charger as part of the free charger with the new Lumia 920 on AT&T. When I tried to charge my phone it worked just fine, but when I tried to charge my wife phone it didn't charge, her was in battery save mode so I tried charging it with the usb cable until it got out of battery save mode and tried again with no luck.
I tried in both wireless charger devices both phones and had the same result, my phone charged and my wife's didn't. The light in the charger device does light up with no blinking hinting that the phone is charging but there's no notification on the phone side (no sound, battery icon don't change, battery keeps dropping).
The other difference between the two phones is that her's is high gloss red and mine is matte black.

Dec 22, 2015I have a 950xl, yesterday I felt it get incredibly hot in my pocket. pulled it out, the phone seemed to have switched off. I just could not turn it back on again, but it remained hot. Pulled battery out and put it back in. Still could not turn it on. Attached it to charger, battery icon showed as empty, then phone went into endless reboot cycle. Left it on charge overnight and in the morning was still in its endless reboot cycle, with battery still showing as dead. Could not hard reset either.

When I disconnect charger then it works like anything. I had also noted that some times, the wallpaper keeps jumping and suddenly slides upside and random applications gets started. Nov 27, 2012I have a 2 amp, iPhone 5 compatable USB adapter in my car. When I use this on my Lumia 920 it is charging very slow, 2-3% over a half hour. It charges an iPhone 5 rather rapidly. I could get by on my iPhone for the week and only charge only need to ever charge on my work commute.
If I run Nokia Drive is running the phone will lose charge while charging. Nokia Drive is no good if the phone cannot maintain power.

Dec 4, 2012When I take my Lumia 920 off of the charger it makes a chime sound even when I have the phone on vibrate. Is there any way to turn this off? It's fairly annoying to have that sound every time I take the phone off the charging pad to check a text message or whatever, especialy when I'm in my office.

Dec 6, 2015My Lumia 950 doesn't charge well on the CR-201 in car charger. It connects and disconnects every 10 seconds or so, making usual chime, when it connects with monotonous regularity. That's makes a nuisance when bluetooth streaming as the chimes stream too. Flicking to ringer off stops that though.
It charges fine using the DT-910 desk standing charger. So I don't think it's a case issue, though I have a Mozo case on order.

Pairing and all went fine., but no notifications from the charger (fast blinking)..I did try soft reset, forget the charger and pair again to no avail..Do the Gadgets app need an update?It does show the led light intensity changes when changing the setting from the gadget app, so I'm guessing its not the pairing problem.

Feb 17, 2014I just got a replacement 1020 due to some Bluetooth issues with the other one and now this one is locking up when it is put on the Nokia wireless charging stand. It happens every time I leave it on the charger over night. When I take the phone off the charger it is completely non-responsive. I have to do the volume down with power button hold to restart it.
If I put the phone on for only a few minutes or half an hour it is fine. I also noticed that when I had Glance set to be on while on the charger with "night mode" set to a colour, the phone would act erratic. It would come on, then go off, over and over again. That is, the lock screen would come on, it would fade away and then go to the glance view, then do it all again.

Aug 8, 2010As I use phone, it is really excellent. However, I am not able to exploit any features since there is no charge even after half day use.
I found that I had enabled search for WIFI and also enabled two of the settings for gps. After removing settings and changing display to lower brightness and not using internet it is better now. I took BSNL service in India for my vacation. They have 3g in very few places. I am not sure if the 3g or their SIM card is the culprit.
I want to buy car charger. I found Nokia dc-6 selling for Rs 950($20). Do I need to use only this? I called and found that Samsung one for Rs 250($6). Is it ok to use generic one or other brands?
What do I need to look for when I buy car charger for n900? I hope it works in USA also. Appreciate any help since I need to buy ASAP. I can exploit all features in my journeys since I am not driving here unlike in USA;-)

I bought a white iPhone 3gs and wanted to know is the phone still plagued with overheating and discoloration problems? Second question I am wondering if I buy a mophie juice pack air a coupple of months would that negatively affect my battery on the iPhone. What I mean by this is I heard that aged four hundred complete charges and draining of the iPhone battery the phones battery only holds 80% of the charge it use to.
