View 1 Repliesconfirm that the "mark/unmark all" option does not exist in the Nokia 920. I sometimes send a generic seasons greetings wishes to all on my contact list. I used the "Mark all" function and send them all the same message at once in past Nokias. It seems like I have to go through the tedious process of selecting them one by one in my contact list with the 920.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Bold 9900 which I just bought 3 months ago. It has been fine over the last 2 months however the last month its been giving a lot of problems. While I was using it the screen went black and I tried to restart it (power back on and taking out the battery and sticking it back it) but the red led light would come on and it would not power up. After sticking it on the charger the red light would come on for 1 minute, then the battery sign would show saying that it is charging but after 1 minute, it would show a red X mark on the battery symbol and it would not power on. I have gone through this process 2 times (I have bought 2 JM1 batteries for the device from blackberry) however it still gives the same problem. I sent it to a phone repair shop and they gave it a try. They say that the batteries are fine, but the blackberry is not able to hold in the charge and has a problem with charging it.

This does not appear to be my issue.My issue involves a small triangle with an exclamation mark inside it. The graphic is next to the battery icon on the status bar. Does anyone know what this is trying to tell me? I do notice that my battery is discharging quite rapidly, about 1% every 3 minutes. Got a new charger for it, had ONE full charge then had the same problems. Hard reset the other day and is now worse than ever. Last night it was charging for ages, came back to find it at 0% even though it was still merrily flashing to say it was charging, clearly it is not. Left over night to find it had died altogether, cue the usual hours and hours of trying everything to get it to come back on,heating, soft reset, hard reset, unplugging, trying various places to plug in, all usb ports etc blah to then get stuck in the infinite reboot cycle.A zillion hard resets later it finally comes on, leave it to charge a little before going through the set up, there was a small amount of charge, come back to do set up and its gone back down to 0% of its own accord.

On the other hand since Monday but battery life has changed, and even with the full battery the prediction of time (displayed on settings menu) until it becomes empty is about 16 hours, nothing more. Before that I could see a prediction of more than 40 hours, and the phone used to last that long. Now, with the same applications, etc. it decreases drastically, should i send the phone for warranty?

It might have been updating email but that shouldn't kill the battery like that. I don't use it that much during the day but it seems to go down really fast. View 19 Replies View RelatedI have the Lumia 820 with the Navigon navigation app installed. I went on a trip this past weekend and noticed a strange battery drain while driving to my destination. The drive was a little over 2 hours and I was charging the phone the whole time. I figured I would test it on the drive home. I charged the phone completely before starting the drive home. I was camping so I had to use the lighter jack in the car which is always on and charged the phone from less then 10% to 100% overnight. Again the drive was a little over 2 hours, had the Navigon app open and running the whole time and the phone was plugged into the lighter and the charging icon was registering a charge the whole time. The only other thing running was cellular data. NFC, Bluetooth, Wifi, Nokia Drive, all off. When I arrived home the phone was at 45% and was very hot.
I upgraded from the Samsung Focus and using the Navigon app in the same car never ever had less power when I I ended a trip to when I started a trip. I use the Navigon app all time so this is a real issue. I am also going to post this on the Navigon website.
My Lumia 900 is getting really poor battery life and can barely last a full day with minimal use. Under moderate to heavy use the phone doesn't last more than 5 hours. I have done two hard resets already and its still the same. It appears others have the same problem.

I left it there in that state for awhile and then plugged into wall...first the bottom three buttons lit up, a white screen, then a big battery showed up with with a bit of red charge, then a nokia page and then finally an att page with the words "rethink possible".....and it shuts off and starts this loop.

I bought this phone for my son for Christmas and despite having it on charge for a few hours it still shows that there's 56% battery charge then once you unplug the charger the phone won't turn on, completely dead! Tried to check software but when I plug it into laptop it just says device unplugged, the only time I got it to recognise it it was unable to find device driver software. Must admit its completely put me off this phone before we've started, I champion Nokia all the time but wish I'd bought him an iPhone now!!

My usage is typically around this:1 hour on the phone.15 minutes of Twitter. 15 minutes of browsing on 3G. No bluetooth/ WiFi/ Internet sharing on most days. Manual brightness setting. Battery Saver on. Dark backgroundLocation settings off. Email refresh after 1 hour. XBox signed out. I can't think of anything else I can do to reduce my power consumption. I'm using the firmware version 1066.0000.8779.12201, which according to my Customer care is the latest firmware version. Nokia claims a 720 hr standby time on 3G, which I am nowhere close to.

The only disappointing thing is, when I open the diagnostic tool and it reads the Battery stats, the read "Total capacity" is not constant, its moving between 1250 mAh-1350 mAh randomly. View 8 Replies View RelatedGot my Cyan 920 on Friday. Immediately had overheating issue while syncing email during first setup. Got super hot at the top,battery drained very quickly. I had turned on Nokia Drive Beta + for just a minute to check it out then didn't use it again. No more heat or battery issues until tonight when I plugged it into my computer to move some video files onto my computer through the file explorer. Phone got very hot at the top and actually started losing battery life even though it showed to be charging (plugged into my laptop). I did not have any apps running intensive processes or syncing/uploading going. I turned off background services for Nokia Drive Beta + (though I hadn't opened it since that initial opening to check it out) then I turned it off and back on and it stopped the overheating and it began to cool. But then I couldn't connect to phone or internet services even though it showed 4 bars of LTE. Turned it off and on again and everything seemed to be working fine, then it began heating up again. Just removed it from my laptop and it is now plugged into the wall charger that came in the phone box (USB). This is unacceptable for a new phone. I had been using a Black Nokia Lumia 900 for several months before upgrading and using Nokia Drive frequently.
