The Japan map on Ovi 3.03 is basically useless. It is only 6-ish MB and contains such a lack of detail that I wonder why they even bothered to put it up.I read on another post that previously, there was a 19MB version of the map. Does anyone know how to get that on 3.03?

The iPad sold by Softbank is exactly like that. Inside Japan it is locked to Softbank but outside of Japan you can stick any micro SIM in it.

My Lumia 920 does not have any maps for Japan in Nokia Maps. Bing maps has them, but Nokia do not. As you can't load bing maps on to the phone.

My sister recently bought an I-phone 4 version 5.1. for me here in the Philippines, but as i have used my phone, I cannot receive any signal whatsoever from any network provider. In Japan, where I bought my SGS II from NTTdocomo, GPS was always working fine. But since I moved to Germany a month ago GPS has lots of problems. Google Maps as well as other map application seem not to be able to get a GPS fix:
- The map shows a location near me but not accurate.
- In Google Maps there is always a large circle around the location mark, indicating low accuracy.
- Even though I move my physical location, the location mark on the map doesn't update for a long time.
- MyTracks (by Google) constantly shows the message "Waiting for a better GPS fix".
Is my GPS sensor broken or could this be related to using a NTTdocomo branded SGS II in another country? All this is happening with a clearly visible sky.
I tried to update my Nokia X3 with Nokia Software Updater. And after installing from 4.01 to V8.40, I lost "Windows Live Messenger" and "Ovi Contacts" . Can some one please tell me as how I can get these applications back.
I love these applications and I was using them a lot.
I can't turn on the phone because the phone stacks in a blank Nokia logo and then turns off. When I try to connect in the PC nothing happens and when I try to put the battery into the device. it turns on by itself and restarting sevaral times. I dont know what kind of problem I am facing.

I can access the maps, I get the correct position but the problem occurs when I try to navigate to any address. It doesn't seem to have an actual issue with the location because I've tried several locations in Bucharest and got the same error.

After update all messages are erased and she had important information there. I read in trouble shooting, that:: What should I do if the automatic restore of my phones content doesnâ work after I did the update to Nokia Belle and I dont see my contacts, calendar, bookmarks, etc.?A: The backup of your phone content is stored under C:Users[username]DocumentsNokia SuiteBackups and includes "Nokia_Belle_Update" in the filename. If the automatic restore doesn't work, you can try to restore your contents manually by opening the "Tools menu" in Nokia Suite and selecting "Restore".
I installed Ovi Suite on Mac and downloaded extra support for C7, but I couldn't restore that information. She never installed Ovi Suite on her PC. My question is: is she installs Ovi Suite for PC on her laptop, will she be able to restore old messages? I recently switched to Belle as well on my Nokia N8, but I'm not that crazy about old messages, so I haven't noticed it. I checked on my phone using Files disk C, but there wasn't any folders with my username.

With earphones in, I can hear calls and music ok, and same with loudspeaker, but without earphones in or loudspeaker on, I can't hear music or the other person who is calling. - in-built integration to upload pictures to picasa and flickr
- in-built integration to upload videos to Internet
- an official app for Internet
- the nokia social app has facebook and twitter in it and absolutely no option to add any other services.
the above is basic 101 of any smartphone. cmon, give us symbian loyals the very basics of any smartphone out there.
