In my new E72 i have contacts on my phone and sim but when one of my contacts call me it only shows the name as if it is a new number my phone dosent recognize, can someone please help me this issue

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just updated the Nokia Updater software after being prompted to do so, and now my PC doesn't recognise my phone (xpressmusic 5530) when I plug it in.Windows asks for software, but the only disc I received with the phone was the Ovi Suite, which does nothing to (re) install what's needed for the phone. When I plug the phone into the USB the phone itself asks which connection I want (PC Suite / Mass storage etc) but the PC now doesn't recognise it.

On starting usb connection it tells me that i don't have a memory card in and PC-suite might not work as expected. I tried a soft-reset (*#7370#), but it still does not recognize the memory card. All applications saved on my memory card are no longer displayed. In file manager it tells me I have no memory card in. Of course I have ejected and inserted the memory card, but the initial problem started when my I was just browsing.

Hi , I need to display only Sim contacts in phone contacts option rather than contacts that are saved in memory card. According to me knowledge there is a bug in these cell phone perhaps if you have any old nokia phone you may find this option.

The Software Updater for Retail says the exact same thing too.
How to rectify this? Or if not, any ETA on when the Cyan update can be expected to be available for Dev Preview users? I have a 930 as my daily driver now but, as an amateur photographer and filmmaker the 1020 is still a highly useful device for me.

I just transferred 250+ songs from my computer to my phone (5230) but only 13 songs maintained some of their information. All the others are missing album art, album names, artists, etc., which were all in place in windows media player, from where I transferred them.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just bought the 808 PureView in a German electro-hardware store (Saturn). There the phone was in offline mode as it didn't have any micro-SIM. No biggie. However, I got home and inserted my micro-SIM and tried to use the phone but it doesn't recognize the micro-SIM!
I've tried the SIM in other phones (Nokia and other brands) and it works but not in the 808. It is like the phone is stucked in "Offline" mode and I can't make it change: not from the Profiles page (to make it Active), not by pressing the On/Off button and selection "Turn offline mode off", not re-starting it with and then without the SIM and then with the SIM inserted, not "Restore factory settings" not "Delete memoru and restore factory settings"!
This is random as I just started to encounter this problem.
At first when I would add a new contact it would save to my contacts list & being that I have my google account connected it would save it there as well.
Does your E71 hang for few seconds when a call has been disconnected??
View 4 Replies View RelatedToday I noticed that my E71 doesn't show any names when somebody calls me, neither does it show any names with text messages (SMS). It shows just the number.It doesn't show any name, I tried it with 10+ different people, both calling and texting. I have no duplicates in my address-book. I didn't add anything in the last 3 days. Yesterday everything worked just fine. I have no '(unnamed)' entries in my address-book either. No empty entries either. I didn't sync my phone with my pc (via Nokia PC Suite) since last week.

How come Apple and or AT&T doesn't let us save our contacts to our SIM cards? Back when I was with Nextel I could always save my contacts to the SIM and just switch different phones and everything was there.

Every cell I've had until now shows the contacts name as long as they are in the phones contact list. I'm using a Storm 2 9550 and I've been rooting through the settings trying to see if there's a way to show a contacts name but I'm not having much luck.

I have been trying to change it on my Bold 9650 but to start I have to enter my ID (which I checked and is my email address) but when I enter it I get an error message saying that my "user name is invalid. A user bane nust be at least 4 characters." and I can get no further. I have verified my Blackberry ID and my username but nothing I do works. After i tried to unlock the device inserting the right password but it dosen't recognize it. Now i'm so worried about lost all my data, casue i haven't done recently a backup. I hope someone would help me cause i have a lot of data in it and i cannot loose them. The one who tried to unlock the device said that after the 5th attempt he was asked to write blackberry, and now in place of asteriks there appears like normal characters.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recieved a warranty replacement a few weeks ago and have been unable to get it to connect to my pc via the usb or the bluetooth. Support at ATT couldn't figure out the problem so they sent me a new device. The second device has the same problem and I have even installed the BB Software on a second pc and it also would not recognize the device.
If you look at the device in device manager in windows it says there is a problem with the driver installed for the device. It looks like the BB desktop software didn't install the correct driver. I have de-installed the software and re-installed it and no change.
i have downgraded my neo v from officially updated ICS to gingerbread 2.3.4 build .62(flashing via flashtool)..after that rooted with unlocked bootloader..but my phone only connects in mass storage mode..even if i change to MTP mode,,pc companion says no phone connected....
View 9 Replies View RelatedI just bought a new 130GB class 10 PNY SD card for my T Mobile G4 and at first it was working fine. Then which I was transferring music files to the SD card it had a random error, and now the G4 won't recognize it. If I put in a different SD card it works, and my PC sees the PNY card. I've tried reformatting it to NTSC and Fat32 with no luck. The PNY card isn't corrupted according to my PC. I scanned for that too.
What should I do?

Suddenly it stopped, last time was April 11 via Wi-Fi. Now even with the device plugged it can't be recognized.
On iPhone Settings, the "iTunes Wi-Fi Sync" tab is grayed.
Few days ago iPhone started to behave strangely, refusing to power off, sometimes not charging when plugged to USB port, sometimes does.
Don't know what to do.

My iPhone no longer recognizes when I plug in headphones or any other external audio device. A software upgrade fixed this problem once, but the problem has come back and upgrades won't fix it. No matter what I plug into the headphone jack, audio continues to play out of the phone speakers. I'm outside of my warranty and not near an Apple store.
