Bought an E72 in preference to Blackberry. Want to use it to get work email but rest of Co. uses Blackberry. IT dept say I can't therefore access work email on my phone as the server is specifically set up for Blackberry. Is this just them being inflexible and is there a way I can get my work email on this phone given their feedback?

I keep getting an error stating; "Unable to add account. Please check your information and try again."Now, I'm not sure what my Mailbox name is.I was told to log in on my computer's browser to my work email via Outlook Web Access and put the cursor over the inbox to read the name on the bottom of the screen.This is all it reads: "https://webmail.(companyname).com/owa/#. EMAIL
I set up my hotmail on the phone and it was working fine. I then deleted that account but on the home screen am left with the subject line of the last message, but cannot get rid of it, or open it. When I select it, I simply go to the email options screen with sync, settings etc.How do I get rid of this and start again?Also, is it possible to set the phone up so that hotmail only displays on the 'personal mode' and that my work email only displays on the 'work mode'? If so, how do I go about it?
My work email (IMAP) I got all the settings and details from the IT department, and whatever I (or they) tried to do, simply wouldn't allow me to connect to my account and receive messages. Has anyone else had this? Is there some trick that I haven't been using?

I am in "American" Samoa and bought a local Blue Sky sim card. Phone works great for local calls and LD to USA mainland at a much less cost per minute than Verizon. Internet browser works, but I can not receive and send email.Yes, I have access to a wireless network and am connected to it. Other, "I" phone gets email here. Wonder why the Blackberry does not?

Well i have a problem with my nokia 5530 Xpressmusic , today i put it to recharge and when it was finished the i couldn't unblock the phone , so i restart it and then it goes mad , the phone signal is off and i cannot access some part of the phone like settings and other stuff , and after some minutes he freezes and i cannot do anything so i have to restart it again .I don't know exactly the problem but this is what is happening , what can i do? please help because i need very much the phone i don't have other one and i expect some calls ... but if the phone doesn't work i can't do anything ... please tell me that is an solution for this ...
View 5 Replies View RelatedI've recently purchased an X6, it's a great phone. The only problem I'm having is sorting out the connection settings for my emails (under the Messaging menu). I don't seem to be able to select an access point. My default connection is my home WLAN In my Internet access point the priorities are:
1. Home WLAN
2. 3G
3. GPRS
This works perfectly for all other apps and the internet; but under Options > Settings > Email > Mailboxes > *select mailbox* > Connection settings > Incoming e-mail > Access Point in use. I can only select specific connections, there doesn't appear to be any option to select my Internet access point? It's currently set to "Default Connection" which means it uses my WLAN nicely. But when I leave the house it doesn't work without manually navigating through all those options above which is pretty inconvenient. Am I missing something, or do I really need to do that each time I leave the house and return?
I cannot access my ovi mail account. It said that "Your account is locked." I tried to reset the password but still my account is locked.

I changed the outgoing default connection in E55 here: menu. email. settings. mymailbox. mailbox settings. advanced mailb settings.outgoing mail settings. access point in use. user defined
now when i do a email message it doesnt send when i choose send in any new email message. it seems a bug, because it does not quit of the send option, it appears a little window sending email, but it does not send. then if i try to get out the only options are delete/save to drafts.
I want to setup the e-mail client to connect to the access points according to their priority, the same way Web browser does. E.g. when set to connect to Internet category, it should first try to connect to WiFi, and if it's not available, connect to a packet data account.Can I do that with E72?
View 4 Replies View RelatedJust got my GS6 about 2 weeks ago and then had my work email/outlook added to it. Now all of my texts are being auto-forwarded to my work email, which I do not want! How do I stop this from happening? I saw a similar thread about SGS2's, but I think the locations of settings must have changed a bit because those directions were not completely compatible. I want to make sure I can still view my work email on my phone; just don't want my personal texts going into my work's email/network.

It shows that new emails have arrived, but when I click on the icon - nothing happens. Just stays on the home screen. I can access emails by going Menu-Installations-email, but this is a bit of a faff!
Any ideas? I'm using the Nokia Messaging email for my Hotmail account. It all went smoothly for the last year....

Every time I access the [URL] website and enter my login name and password and submit, I repeatedly get the same page again and again which asks me to verify my password. There seems to be a software error in the Lumia 800. I have contacted the Nokia helpline which was unhelpful as usual. This time, they informed me that this error IS possible while accessing Yahoo email thru the browser and that no solution is possible. The only suggestion they had was to use the synchronization method to access the Yahoo mailbox - but this solution is not feasible for either accessing the older emails and or for sending file attachments.
View 4 Replies View Relatedi have a problem with my galaxy S5 ATT. so im using Netgear wireless n-150 router WNR 1000,its updated,but the problem was before the update and after the update it is the same. i'm using yahoo,gmail and comcast emails.i was able to setup yahoo email without any problems,i can send and receive emails from my phone when connected to wifi and without wifi. but i wasnt able to add to that stock email app my gmail account and comcast while i was connected to my wifi.it gave me error that it wasnt able to connect to the server to verify information.
So I tried to set it up on the mobile network and there was no problem. so now when i connected to wifi in my house i cant receive emails or send them using gmail and comcast email,yahoo account is working fine. i checked all the settings,i reset the router,still nothing.the funny part is if i download gmail app it is working without any problems.and if i connect to any other wireless router,all 3 emails work. also when i connect to my wifi, I'm getting internet and i'm able to open pages without any problems. So it should be some settings in the router probably ...
I downloaded a couple of maps to my phone from the Ovi suite.How do I acess them? I go on Nokia maps and what I can acess, I could before downloading the maps? I thought that downloading a map of a country would enable one to see 3D buildings and such, if that is the case then how does one view the map? Is there a way to "load" it up from your phone? Tried going into Phone Storage, but from there I can only see how much memory is taken up and how much is left.

I don't use BES. When I'm at home or at work and have direct access to email, I'd like to turn off my bb email client. How can I do that?
In one post I saw the recommendation Messages > Options > Email Reconciliation > Wireless Reconcile -> set of Off. Is this enough? (I have my BB set up for wi-fi connection when I'm home, in case that makes a difference.)
My E71 has died a slow and painful death.Now I've read elsewhere on this forum that the E71 does not support charging via the onboard USB port however:
- My E71 is absolutely dead flat out of battery;
- My E71 is refusing to charge due to some inherant damage to both power charger and charging circuit (because it still won't charge on my Husband's charger);
- I have some very important information stored on the phone memory (not SD card) that I need to access and have no real way of doing so; and
- I have recently done a backup of the phone, but won't allow me to access the file without the phone connected.
Like all users of N97 I have a serious problem with the phone memory (C) being full To correct it, I have been using for quite some time (more than 6 months) the E: memory for messages and emails. However, every now and then, without any reason, I get the message that the phone is unable to use the selected memory (E) and it goes back to C. The problems are multiple:
1. It doesn't let me choose the memory I'd like to use, when this appears, and it does this when a new message comes, which is directly stored in C - no options given.
2. Following this, half the messages are stored in one memory and half in the other and (of course) they cannot be moved from the one to the other.........
It is very frustrating when you can't access to memory storage in Nokia Lumia 800 and even Can't transfer documents (PDF, Word Excel) to phone.I think Zune is the too fancy tools (software) to transfer and not user friendly.Probably move back to HTC as no point have a good graphic phone without having essential normal functions.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've just enabled the remote phone locking feature on my S60 mobile device; that is the message text to be sent via SMS to lock the phone and the security code (default 12345).I've sent several times from another mobile phone the security text message via SMS keeping in mind that it is case sensitive. Unfortunately when I receive the lock SMS on my S60 device it does not work. The message arrives as a normal SMS; it is possible to read its content as in case of normal short text messages.What could be the problem? Can you help me to figure it out?
