This is randomly popping up all the time. Can I just set it to access the wireless network when it's available and needed (but not all the time) and just use contract internet the rest of the time? The pop-up is getting irritating.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI set up my email account to sync for new messages every 5 minutes - it was working fine but then I needed to set up a packet data connection for maps etc and now every time it tries to check my email it asks which connection to use, which is no good, I need it to tell me when I have new emails not have to check it manually every time. I need to set it so that by default it uses my WLAN connection where available and if that isn't available, to use the 3 WAP services access point and never asks me about it
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am getting a "Select connection" prompt quite frequently (atleast once a minute) on my 5800. This has started happening in the last week or so. Yes - I have searched the forums and googled. I have not altered my network drive settings (solution in one thread) and the internet connection test is set to "Never run" in the Wireless LAN settings.
I do sync my GMail account - and I do not want to disable automatic sync. Everything was working fine until last week. I think once we set a destination (Internet) for the email sync then it should not keep prompting again and again to select connection.
I keep getting an app download page that pops up on my LG G3 from the app Store for meet.com ... I don't want the app. How do I make it stop?

Whenever I reboot my phone those 5 archived conversation show back up in my current list of Hangouts conversations. I touch and hold the conversation I want to archive hit the archive button and get the message Archiving Hangout, but they still come back after a phone reboot.

My cell start automatic wifi searching, while i have disabled all posible option to search wifi automatically like (Show WLAN availibility = Never, Internet Connectivity test= Never Run). Beside these setting, i also delete all wifi Network destinitions. but still i found after every 2- 5 mins device prompts for available wifi connection. I dont was such prompt.

I have had my Nokia E72 for a few months now and while it's good one feature of it is frustrating me somewhat. A while ago I accidently clicked on 'automatic connection' and now my phone keeps asking me to select a connection. Can anyone advise me on how to get rid of this, please?

I have to press cancel for abt 5 to 6 times before it stops momentarily. This is very irritating. Is there any way to solve this problem?

However, since then, it seems like the phone has been trying to go online. I tried to find out how to disconnect from going online, but it just changed from high speed/3.5G to 3G. I logged in and when open on the recommended page and then scrolling to the next page it gives an error (operation could not be completed due to an error) after that i can't even log out. everything I do is an error message. After I select an option usually my email gets uppated, so I'm assuming the email is asking for internet. Isn't there a way Nokia messaging would update itself on its own without my having to choose an option every time?
View 3 Replies View Related'm having a weird issue happening in our Blackberry environment. Several of our users are reporting that when they leave for the day, their email do not populate until they return to the office the next morning. What I've gathered so far is, it seems like the device doesn't know when to switch back to 3G when the Wi-Fi connection we have here at work drops. In other words, the phone stops sending/receiving email because it no longer has a Wi-Fi connection but it never switches back to 3G. If I turn off the Wi-Fi on the problematic devices, they never have any of the problems mentioned above - but the uppers do not like that solution.
I got a new BB 9700 Bold yesterday and having problems with setting up the sync for the calendar and the contacts which are on my outlook. My hotmail email accounts are working okay. The outlook is on my PC and is the front face for my hotmail accounts.
When I go in to the BB Desktop device manager - version 5.0.1 (latest version) , I go in to the configure option on the left and it lets me click on calendar> then I select outlook and it then lets me select 'finish'. However at this stage an error box flashes up saying 'no available message stores'.
In addition when I check the wifi config on the calendar and contacts icons on the BB device it will not let me select yes on the wireless connection for them.
I've recently bought a Nokia 5800 xm and have been able to connect it to my home internet using the wlan wifi.
I can only use the wifi if i go to settings>connectivity>wlan. If i go straight to internet, it tries to connect to t-mobile internet. This also happens when trying to use applications such as bbc iplayer and the ovi store.
Is there a way of setting the wifi connection as the default connection? If not, is there a way of setting up my applications so they connect using wifi?
I just received my 808 replaced by Nokia for the 3G bug issue. Now I have been noticing that annoying Connection Failed connection unavailable message every few seconds. Turned the positioning methods OFF and the frequency of the error message goes away but it still pops up every few minutes. I did a hard reset, removed the memory card where most of my apps are installed and it still gives me that same error. Ordered a new SIM to see if that makes any difference - none - Still same error message. That message is so annoying. Anyone have any other ideas that I could try ? Privacy mode is OFF also.

Doesn't matter if I use the Dual Mode, UMTS or GSM. When I manually search, it gives me 2 options; AT&T and T-Mobile. When I request either one of them it tells me that I don't have access. What am I doing wrong? Is there a setting I'm missing?Settings > Connectivity > Network > Network unavailable. I'd like to see it changed. GPS and wifi are working fine.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI've recently purchased an X6, it's a great phone. The only problem I'm having is sorting out the connection settings for my emails (under the Messaging menu). I don't seem to be able to select an access point. My default connection is my home WLAN In my Internet access point the priorities are:
1. Home WLAN
2. 3G
3. GPRS
This works perfectly for all other apps and the internet; but under Options > Settings > Email > Mailboxes > *select mailbox* > Connection settings > Incoming e-mail > Access Point in use. I can only select specific connections, there doesn't appear to be any option to select my Internet access point? It's currently set to "Default Connection" which means it uses my WLAN nicely. But when I leave the house it doesn't work without manually navigating through all those options above which is pretty inconvenient. Am I missing something, or do I really need to do that each time I leave the house and return?
How do I delete multiple emails on my phone at one time? I must have a couple of thousand emails in my inbox that have already been read. I want to delete them all without having to go through and selecting the checkbox for each one individually.
