I have an E71, and about once a day I get this message saying "insert SIM card." This hasnt happened ever not until just maybe a week or 2 ago. It happens almost daily and I have to restart the phone. Any ideas on why this might be happening and how to make it go away would be extremely helpful!

i am at my wits end.I constantly get the message on my n95 8gb to 'insert sim card' this happens 10-20 times aday. The only way to resolve it is to remove the battery 10-20 times aday! There seems to be no reason for this as it can happen if left on a desk,in my pocket etc.I'm also getting the 'sim card registration failed' message now and then as well. IS THIS A SIM CARD OR A PHONE PROBLEM? Any guidence would be gratefully recieved.
When i switch my phone on a message comes up on the screen saying "insert phone sim card", or view demo for this phone! it will not let me acess the phone at all apart from emergency calls.
When i switch it on it works very good no problem at all it asks for the pin code i enter it is acceptet i text messages i speak on it but suddenly i get "insert sim card" and if i press ok the phone is switching off and i get this error like every time it may be 2 hours it may be 10 minutes. I tried to put a piece of paper on it to make the contact even harder but it didnt work i also checked if the sim has problems and doesn`t.
Since updating to 410.21.010, my E71 occasionally shows a "Insert SIM card" message. This is rather odd, as it's not feasible to do so (the battery blocks the slot), and the SIM hasn't had any trouble before. Worse still, when this occurs the phone becomes entirely useless - not only can I not access running apps (and the model doesn't require a SIM for that), I can't even turn it off.Upon removal of the battery to forcibly restart the phone, it starts just fine, SIM and all - so the card isn't poorly seated or anything like that.
For starters i love this handst but getting very annoyed by this fault I keep on having.Pretty much i am on my 3rd N900 as my last two kept on telling me to insert a sim card when there was one in there which worked with other phones and other sim cards did the same thing in the phone. Also it is always loosing the signal.usually a quick reset fixes this problem but now this phone won't pick it up at all. It has had no signal for 24 hours. Sim works in other phones and other simcards have the same problem in this phone.
I have changed from dual to gsm and 3g but still no luck. Carphonewarehouse says it is a antenee problem but this has happened to 3 of them!! Any ideas, as i am looking to swap it for the Nexus One which i don't really want to do but will be forced to if none of you have a fix.
I'm having 3 issues with my recently bought cell-phone(Nokia 5230).
First of all, I've bought a 16GB memory card, but I don't know how to remove the 2GB one it currently has inserted. I press down the memory card but it won't (Fully) come out! Can someone explain me how to remove it, please?
Another issue is with some Bluetooth connections.
I tried to transfer some songs from my girlfriend's cell-phone, I've connected the 2 devices by creating an authorized(Automatically transfers data between the 2 cell-phones) paired connection. But I can't transfer data from her cell-phone to mine. They connect but the data isn't transferred! Side note: I've been able to transfer data before with the same devices, it would only transfer whenever it wanted, though. If it failed, I had to change the permissions and just try again. It could fail countless times(Once it failed like... 15 times in a row).
Now, it just won't transfer. They connect and the "Receiving data via Bluetooth" screen appears, but nothing happens until the connection times out. I've done nothing wrong and everything is fine, I guess. Does it only happen to me?
My last (main) problem:Battery.
My battery has a very short duration time. At the first time I turned it on, I've used it until the battery ran out, like I was told so. Then, I've plugged it to the switch and turned it on. I've used it through that time though, only to send and receive text messages. I exchange about 400 text messages per day. I've done everything I could to save battery. I've turned off the delivery reports, I always have it in silent mode, the screen bright is lower than the default value, etc. Still, it only lasts me like 20 hours before it ran's out. The first bar takes "a lot" of time to disappear, but the last 6 ones disappear quite fast.
I've tried to let him charge for 10-12 hours 2 times after that, but I didn't notice any change. If I'm on a long duration call, the battery runs out after... 3.45-4.30 hours. But that's definitely not the problem.I don't know if this affects, but it is always connected to my operator through 3G.
I've just got a 6303 and I want to insert words into text messages without having to turn off predictive text. My 6230i used to have an 'insert word' feature but I can't find it on this phone. Does anybody know or should I just ask the Nokia chaps?
I have Nokia 5230 it has Symbian 9.4, 5th Edition.I am having some strange problem with my mobile, don't know what to do.So here is my problem :-
When i insert Tata Docomo Sim Card in my 5230, and whenever i try to call any one it says Connection Error and am not able to call anyone, nor able to receive any, although the network signal is full.
When i removed Docomo simcard, and inserted Reliance in 5230, than it works fine and i am able to send & receive calls. When i put that Same Docomo simcard in Motorola, than it also works fine. Why does Docomo simcard shows Connection Error in Nokia and works fine in Motorola??
I have been using PC Sync for a long while now, and had no problems so far But since about two weeks ago, the entries that have been entered / modified in Microsoft Outlook, are not synced into my phone at all. PC Sync tells a warning message about these events and contacts, says it could not insert entries into the mobile phone. All the entries that have been entered / changed on my phone, are succesfully synced into my Outlook. I did not change / install anything so I do not know why did this issue started about two weeks ago. Microsoft Outlook ver: 2007 (12.0.6514.5000) SP2 MSO (12.0.6529.5000) Phone type: X6-00 (RM-559) Phone ver: V 20.0.005
When ever i send a reply text message to somebody who has text me already and i go about it by going into my inbox and selecting the message, my phone freezes for ages, and then i have to press the text message that i have received that i want to reply to and wait AGES for it to load up. Then when i finally have typed a reply, the screen goes back to the inbox (as its supposed to i think) and then freezes again and i have to wait ages again for it load its self back up
Also, if i receive multi message at one, the only way i can read them is to access the a message and then open it and click the arrows at the top to navigate to the next message in line. Also, if i need to access a message further down the list, thats off the screen, i cant just scroll down, i have to click on a message and use the navigation arrows at the top to get into that text, otherwise when i scroll down the screen goes black and freezes.
I find myself pressing the red button alot to take me back to the home screen to start again. It just seems a long way round of accessing things. Its fine if i go to new message and send it through that way, it just seems very long winded!Does anyone else have a similar problem? Could it be something to do with the amount of texts in my inbox (currently at 3304, 2 sent, 2 drafts and 25 in my folders?
For the last 2 weeks i have been unable to use my torch 9800, it tells me I need to insert my sim card although its already in, i know its not a problem with my sim card because i have tried it in my son's Bold 9000
Ok not being funny but have read the instructions to the phone and searched on the net, but there is absolutely nothing in any of them that shows you how to insert a card into this phone, or even tells you where it goes. I have removed the battery looked inside no identification marks to out a card in, no visible places to slot a card in.
I have just bought this phone and wanted to know people's reviews on it especially for music, camera etc . Also anywhere I can download a guide that tells me how to insert the SIM etc. into the phone .
I'm using my Se X8 for about 3 months now. They give me the phone with just 8Gb SD Card. I has install some games either from the market or through the web but somehow my phone suddenly cannot detect my SD Card. On the status bar it stated 'Remove SD Card. Insert a new one". Why this is happening? I've tried to check the card through computer and all the data still there. I've format the SD Card with fat 32 and recheck again. I've install back all the application in the card which I has back it up earlier. Through my computer the card is fine. When I insert it to the phone, is says the same.
I recieved my Xperia mini today and I have a problem with the SIM card slot. When I try to push the SIM card into the slot only about the first three millimeters go in and then it blocks, almost as if something was was already in there.I take it that the SIM should normaly just slip in to the slot with only slight resistance. Am I missing something or have i been unlucky and the slot has a defect? The SIM is in the correct position and the right way round.
I have a blackberry torch 9800, but the problem with this is that keeps on showing insert sim card but there's a sim card installed. As the phone is out of warranty is there a guide on how to replace the sim card module or something?
ive had my samsung galaxy s2 for about 4 months now, ive had no problems with it but all of a sudden over the last few days it keeps telling me to insert a sim card even though my simcards already in, ive tried cleaning the sim card an the slot, using different simcards, factory reset but nothing has sorted it.
it was locked to the network Orange here in spain, the seller before giving it to me got it unlocked.but it doesnt not work with any other network except Orange.have tried (Vodafone,Movistar) also another t-mobile sim from germany... all give me the insert sim card(SOS) error. have checked in the options (MEPD)and all the options are disactivated, so looks like its unlocked correctly... and when i use it with a Orange sim(Original carrier) it works perfect.
I can not work out how to insert a template into a SMS message. I have templates marked for use in emails and sms,s and can insert when sending emails but not SMS messages. There seems to be no command to "insert template".New with the phone so perhaps a little extra description in fixing my problem would be appreciated.
I have a Blackberry tour 9630, and for no logical reason it started saying "insert SIM card" after I reset the phone. I've tried a battery pull, and that did nothing. In fact, I have no idea if my service provider, US Cellular, even uses a SIM card. Is this something I will have to discuss with my service provider or is this something I can fix? I can't seem to even see a SIM card on the phone.
So when I got my G4 a few months ago, I got with at a kingston 128GB micro SD card. For the first few months it worked perfectly, I managed to store videos on it, and everything worked fine. Then, during one bus journey, i was watching some videos I had downloaded earlier, when suddenly told me something like: "cannot find video, insert external storage with video on it" (cant remember exactly). I tried taking out and re-inserting my SD card multiple times, even reseting my phone, but that didn't work.
Eventually my phone told me that my SD card was not formatted correctly, and they could format it, but i'd lose all my data. I eventually did this, and my phone seemed to accept the SD card (not that I really checked). Now though, I tried to re-downloaded the videos I was watching off of the google play store, and it comes up with "External storage must be installed to..." on my notifications, and when I click it, it just goes to the page of the TV show I was downloading.
It even says this at the same time as another notification says "SD card inserted"! It was strange as I was watching other downloaded TV shows before it stopped working, but when it stopped, I couldn't go back and watch the one's I had watched. Most recently I connected my phone to a laptop with the SD card in it, but the computer can't detect the SD card either!
