After downloading the latest firmware for my E71, the Downloads! application included creates a new icon to the OVI store. However, a similar icon already comes with the new firmware, so I have two identical icons for OVI store. I have tried to remove one of the them with no success. Does anybody know a way to remove one icon or avoid this situation?

Now I am left with three PGA game icons in my installations folder and none of them works... I also tried to uninstall the game, but only one of the icons allows uninstall and that too it gives an error halfway thru, saying 'Removing Failed!'...I've tried Nokia MIDlet restorer, but that didn't work either...

Unknown reasons I now have another messenger icon on top of my original .. Everything seems to work fine.. And it goes away if I soft reset my phone. But soon as I use messenger the duplicated one shows up? What could it be? I have soft reset.. Deleted any app installed. In last week still happens...

After the themes were installed and activated; I noticed I had duplicate GMail icons for the same account.
I've deleted the GMail account and added it again - no change. I also uninstalled and re-installed the themes; did a battery pull (generic cure-all) and the duplicate GMail envelope icons for my "xxx@gmail.com" account still appears. It's more than annyonce than anything else.
Up to this point - my remedy is to "Hide" one of them.

on my iPhone 6 and iOS 8.1.1 since 01DEC2014 I see the followi problem:
When updating my apps in the App Store I no longer see the app's icon and all related fotos within the updated app.
The app is updated and works fine.
All apps updated before 01DEC2014 are displayed properly in the App Store.
On my iPad running on iOS 8.1.1 everything is fine, too.

I was syncing my iPhone 5S to iTunes on my laptop when I noticed that suddenly two important icons were missing from my iPhone's Home Page: the App Store icon as well as the iTunes Store icon. I need them back but don't know what to do. I've tried powering down my phone for two minutes then turning back on, no luck. How to get these icons back. When I click on a link that is supposed to take me to either place, nothing happens.

View 3 Replies View RelatedSEVEN was not working on my E71 so I uninstalled and reinstalled the program. My gmail account is now working but I have 4 Gmail mailboxes, one that is operational and three duplicates that are empty, inactive and that I can't see how to delete. If I go to SEVEN program menu then I can only see one account. If I go to Messaging there are 4 mailboxes. I have tried Messaging>Settings>Email then highlighting the mailbox but i only get the options Edit,Help or Exit so I can't delete. I have also uninstalled SEVEN and restored factory settings but the mailboxes remain, only now they have question marks next to them rather than the gmail logo. Now when I go to Messaging>Settings>Email they don't show up at all. How on earth am I supposed to remove them?

I'm plagued with duplicate contacts when using activesync, at least 3 times a week, is there any solution for this ? It's driving me crazy.

But somehow the same calendar file was added multiple times and now I have 5 duplicate calendar entries for each day.Is there a way to delete these calendar entries without deleting my old calendar entries? The .ics file was a fixture list of a club and has a lot of entries so deleting them one entry by entry is not an option.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have the latest version of OVI on my PC which I use to SYNC CONTACTS. Problem is it DUPLICATES the contacts on my NOKIA 5230 even if I DELETE all the contacts listed on the PC OVI list. My understanding of SYNCing is that the PC and the NOKIA should have the same information. Either the SYNC is not working or there is a setting somewhere that needs to be changed? MY NOKIA is showing over 500 contacts when it should be half. Manual deletions to remove all the duplicates is a long job and the SYNC process always returns it back to over 500.I have set my NIKA to save all contact to the Phone Memory (not the SIM). Any ideas of to avoid and remove the DUPLICATES.

I have deleted it from the applications list and do not see it in the modules list but the icon still shows.I also have icons that have the "Hide" checked but are not really hidden. The icon looks as though it is transparent.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've just re-installed the firmware on my E71 having completed a full backup via PC Suite before doing so. The re-installation went OK & I've restored the backed-up stuff but most of the icons from the apps located on my memory card are now missing from the Installations folder on the phone so I cannot now access any of them. Many of the apps were paid for so I don't want to have to re-install them by downloading them again from Ovi.
Is there any way I can get the application icons back in the Installations folder? They were there when I did the backup & have always come back when I have done similar re-installations in the past. The apps are on the card & App Manager tells me they are all 'installed' but won't allow me to access them.
I've been using the N97 for some time now. Recently I discover that when I use the web browser to see webpages, some pictures/icons of the webpages won't be able to show correctly and end up showing the broken icon (the icon of a picture torn in half). For example, sometimes the icon of an app in the ovi store can't show correctly and becomes the broken icon. That also happens when I use facebook with the N97, where some avatars of my friends become that broken icon.Does anyone know what the cause of the problem is?

Thus I do not need the icons on the start screen that uses internet, etc. I would very much like to fill the startscreen with icons like calendar and contacts, etc instead. However it seems like 3 of the areas on the screen where icons can be placed are reserved for internet type icons. Is there a a way to put local icons in these areas?

I can change the shortcut from the menu fast enough, but can't change the icons under. Any body know the settings for it in the phone ? I tried to look in the profile etc.... can't see it.

I tried clicking Cancel and then Download. I have also tried exiting the Store and trying again.I went to store.ovi.com and it shows MobileTag as Downloaded even though it hasn't and I can't re-download it.

I seem to have exhausted the internet in looking for a solution.
Basically the music player short cut icon on the desktop(?) AND the 'last played' icon in the player do not work. What this leads to is if I start playing a song and move away from that playing page I cannot get back and switch off the music!
I have tried re-installing the firmware but to no avail.
How can we change folder icons ?
Some have nice icons like "web tv", "tools", ... But new folders all have the same yellow icon. I miss the "audio/multimedia" folder we had on 5800XP
