Nokia Nseries :: Activesync Plagued By Duplicate Contacts
Oct 22, 2012I'm plagued with duplicate contacts when using activesync, at least 3 times a week, is there any solution for this ? It's driving me crazy.

Mar 19, 2012I installed a couple of new apps this morning: some microsoft stuff that came up in Nokia Suite and the the new Maps Suite from beta labs. Since then my phone has started asking for the Exchange ActiveSync password every few minutes? I use ActiveSync to sync the phones calendar with my google calendar. I set it up when I got the phone last week and it has worked fine, without asking for the password.

Feb 29, 2012I upgraded an N8 to Nokia Belle, and am having great difficulty with setting up email. I go to the email app and ask to create a new mailbox. No matter which email address I put into it the only option is gives me is "Exchange ActiveSync". I cannot seem to be able to add any other kind of mailbox to it.

Dec 19, 2010.ics file to add some calendar entries into my N8 calendar. But somehow the same calendar file was added multiple times and now I have 5 duplicate calendar entries for each day.Is there a way to delete these calendar entries without deleting my old calendar entries? The .ics file was a fixture list of a club and has a lot of entries so deleting them one entry by entry is not an option.

Mar 20, 2012My boss is having trouble syncing his contacts with Exchange ActiveSync. the Exchange group is his default group.I checked it on 20 iphones connected to the server and found out no one else is having problems syncing his contacts from the Exchange Group.I am sure that he is pushing mail and calander but cannot sync contact.Contacts created on the phone under Exchange Group are stays on the phone.Contact created in Outlook stays on the server. Just for the record he hold 3400 contacts on his Exchange Account.

Nokia 5230 :: Sync Contacts - To Remove Duplicate Enteries?
Aug 6, 2010I have the latest version of OVI on my PC which I use to SYNC CONTACTS. Problem is it DUPLICATES the contacts on my NOKIA 5230 even if I DELETE all the contacts listed on the PC OVI list. My understanding of SYNCing is that the PC and the NOKIA should have the same information. Either the SYNC is not working or there is a setting somewhere that needs to be changed? MY NOKIA is showing over 500 contacts when it should be half. Manual deletions to remove all the duplicates is a long job and the SYNC process always returns it back to over 500.I have set my NIKA to save all contact to the Phone Memory (not the SIM). Any ideas of to avoid and remove the DUPLICATES.

Apr 5, 2012Ok, so when I am in the compose message view I start typing a name to send a message to and the phone shows me all numbers for that contact, even if I deleted that number... for example say my contact Lewis upgrades and gets a new number, I edit his contact, deleting the old number and replacing it with the new. Then when I type LEW into the compose message "to" section it shows all numbers ever stored under that name, if you know what I mean..? So i am typing someones name getting multiple numbers even if they only have 1 number to there name.This also seems to be the case if someone registers a number to FB and I overwrite that number with a new number

Jul 14, 2010I've had my BB 8320 for 21 months now and for about 18 of those I was getting the RIM messages and just put up with them until they just got so unbearable that I ranted to a friend about it. He pointed me in the direction of this forum, which helped me to fix the problem by uninstalling the desktop manager and reinstalling it without selecting the Enterprise Server option.Finally my problem was solved and it felt so liberating
I use my BB for work and I send a lot of SMS messages to clients that need to be recorded. I was forwarding those SMS's as emails to myself so that I could print a hard copy for the file, but recently all of my emails are failing, so it seems I can no longer send email messages from my BB.
I came here to try to find a solution, but I just can't seem to find one, I did however find a link to txtForward which I downloaded in trial version, but it didn't work - while I got the emails on my BB they weren't appearing in my Outlook inbox despite all the settings being correct. The absolute worst thing is that since then I'm getting the dreaded RIM messages again and I have absolutely no idea why
I can't send emails from my BB - they seem to go, but appear about 24 hours or so later with a red X and "Message Status : All attempts to resend failed."Constant RIM messages - Enterprise server is not the issue
BB Bold :: Contacts Duplicate Itself?
Feb 3, 2010It was fine until Monday when the contacts did it again. It also deleted all the information that was added to each contact (like facebook, email, picture etc) and defaulted itself to a standard work number. It would show doubles of some contacts, three of others, and some even four. I then went to AT&T and they just looked at me like I was stupid, saying that it was because I synced my phone to my computer. Well for starters, I don't have an address book on my computer, and I don't know how to used outlook. Also, I've synced my phone with my computer several times before with no issues.I then went home, called AT&T and the Blackberry Department and still nothing. They said it was all a syncing issue. So after all that being said, I re-deleted the extras and re-organized a few.
Today I noticed that when I linked one of my BBM contacts (she had gotten a new pin) to her contact info, the address book again duplicated itself. So I am guessing this is the problem? Is there away I can link BBM Pins to Contact Info without it duplicating all my contacts and deleting their other information? I'm really crazy when it comes to organizing, and I can't keep having my contacts getting messed up continously.

Apr 17, 2014I have 2 contacts with the same name but different info under each contact. How do I delete one of the contacts? I can't do delete through duplicate contacts. One contact has the info I need. The other same contact just has an email address that's no longer valid. I can't find a way to just delete it.

Apr 5, 2012I got both my iPhone and iPad sychronized with my outlook exchange account in my company. This setting has been applied over a year and I re-added the account after i got a 4S. However, outlook contacts started to duplicate (some up to 10 times) from 8xxx contacts to 9xxxx contacts since 2 weeks ago. I didn't turn on iPad and I consulted the IT department they said they needed to disable activeSync on my account to test first. Do you know if it's iPhone/iPad problem or ActiveSync problem? What I can do? I did try to remove all contacts in Outlook and restored a backup (8xxx contacts) but after a while, the outlook contact started to duplicate again and even generated up to 6xxxx contacts again.
