I connect my E63 to a via bluetooth to hands-free when driving. Works a treat but I have to manually answer by pressing the green button.How can I set it to automatically answer after a ring?
View 4 RepliesI am trying to find out how you enable auto answer on a bluetooth headset for a Nokia N900...I can pair the headset without a problem and make a call using it, however, if someone calls me the phone rings and I can hear it in the headset but does not 'connect the call' automatically.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen my phone is connected to my car's bluetooth (Belkin Aircast) it auto picks up after the first ring. This is very annoying for 2 reasons:
1) If I don't want to speak to the person I should be able to ignore it.
2) When the call comes in and I'm listening to the stereo I have to switch to the auxiliary before I can use the phone but the person calling hears whatever I'm listening to.
Anyway to disable the auto answer?
I have a set of Jaybird JF3 Freedom BT headphones (fantastic running headphones BTW!) - both the Motoactv manual and the device itself tell me that when the Motoactv and my BT headset are in range of each other and powered on, they will auto-connect. Of the 30+ times I've used them, this only happened once. Every other time I have to go into Settings - Wireless - BT Headsets-JF3 Freedom and hit the "Reconnect" button - then they reconnect right away. One random time, they auto-connected. I didn't do anything different than I normally do.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a 6760 slide phone in a pouch on my belt. It automatically answers a call when I remove the phone from the pouch. I am positive that I am not hitting any keys when removing the phone from the pouch, and I have AnyKey answer off in settings. As far as I can see it can only be the motion detector, or the light sensor automatically answering the call. This is extremely frustrating as I do not get to decide whether to silence the call. I have looked extensively on the Internet, in the manual and in the phone settings but can not stop this happing.

View 2 Replies View RelatedLast night, I saw an article about driving mode and thought I'd set it up on my 1020 to try it out. (It would let me stop notifications of texts while I'm driving, but still take Bluetooth calls.)
Today, my phone wouldn't connect to my car's Bluetooth. I decided to disable driving mode as it was obviously causing the problem, but the on/off option was greyed out.
Eventually, after a lot of to-ing and fro-ing, I decided the only option was to reset the phone to go back to driving mode not being set up. You can imagine what a hassle that was. But the phone still doesn't recognise my car, or, it seems, any other Bluetooth devices.
It is galling, because my new car (a Mini Cooper) doesn't have a Cd player, so Bluetooth is the only way I can play music.
Everytime when my N8 connects to my car kit via bluetooth the music player starts automatically.

View 8 Replies View RelatedMy previous Nokia 9500 and E90 both played ringtone and alarm tones from main phone speakers even when connected to a bluetooth headset, but the N900 seems to re-direct all sounds exclusively to the headset.This is a problem since there are times when I remove the headset and then I miss calls and alarms unless I disconnect the bluetooth headset each time. It is not convenient to have to repeatedly connect and disconnect the bluetooth device.Is there any hope that this is not the intended functional design, and that it may be changed in the future? Currently, the N900 is not proving to be useful for me as a telephone.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a Nokia 5230 - and the main selling point to me was the price with the Ovi Maps.Ovi Maps is fine for walking but I think it's not good enough compared to a dedicated car Sat Nav, I'd go as far as to say it's potenitally dangerous.
I used it in the Uk to drive to Stonhendge with a TomTom running next to it as a backup in silent mode and think the software on the Nokia could get someone into a car accident.First of all the speaker it'self is not really loud enough to be heard over a car engine at speed, together with wind noise, so you're forced to look at the screen much more then a dedicated SatNav.
When you zoom into the road to get a better view - the width of the road never gets wider, all that happens is the length of the road gets shorter, so you gain almost nothing by zooming in on the road in 2D view.
Then I found when you're driving and you lose signal the phone constantly bugs you to push buttons, asking you about what network to connect to. That was probably the most dangerous part of the experience to sudden have your maps overlays with annoying information in a moving car and having it asking you to push buttons on the screen.OVI Maps is fine for walking around the city with but for use in a car it's seriously lacking.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy phone works perfectly except I can't answer calls, when I press answer/ignore it freezes until it goes to voicemail and then comes back. I've flashed multiple roms and had the problem with all of them. I'm not using any special themes or anything, and the only software I ever install are HD Tweak and Finger Keyboard 2.1 and my radio 1.14.25.24. Here's a list of what I've done since I had the phone:
1. Bought phone. Flashed HSPL. Flashed Laurentius L26, no problems. Was being lazy so I didn't hard reset after flashing.
2. Flashed Dutty R14. Didn't hard reset after flashing. No problems for awhile and then the problem of not being able to answer calls appeared.
3. Flashed EnergyRom wm6.5 rom. Hard reset twice after. Still having problem where I can't answer calls.
4. Flashed Dutty 3.9XT wm6.1 rom. Hard reset twice after. Still having problem where I can't answer calls.
If anyone can help me figure out why my phone is doing this I'd really appreciate it, I'll even pay you some money on PayPal if you like because I really want to fix it. Here are some ideas I had as to why it's not working:
- Problem with rom flash. No, because I tried it with 3 different roms so far and had the same problem.
- Touch HD isn't fast enough to run wm6.5 and be stable. No, because I tried it with a wm6.1 rom too and had the same problem.
- Someone suggested it might be a problem with the battery. No, because I ordered new replacement batteries and tried them and had the same problem.
- Some of the settings in HD Tweak are incompatible with something in the roms I'm using. Maybe, is this possible? I don't really change much, just the softkeys and the highlight color and things like that.
- Screwed up something in the SPL or something because I didn't hard reset after flashing the first 2 roms. Maybe, is this possible?
- Dropped my phone and somehow managed to break nothing but the mechanism involved in answering calls. Maybe, is this possible?
Today I'm going to reflash HSPL, flash the stock HTC rom, hard reset twice, and see if I still have the problem. I don't know what else to do or what other possibilities there are. If anyone can shed some light on this issue, that would be great, because I really don't want to have to buy a new phone.
Is there any way I can plug my phone into my truck's radio and have it play over the speakers even while my Bluetooth headset is connected to it?
My lumia 822 had no problem with this but my HTC one m8 doesn't seem to be able to figure it out.
