Nokia :: E63 Memory Got Locked After Software Update

I am having E63 and yesterday I updated the phone software by using PC Suite with version 400.XXXXX. After software update phone started asking password for the memory card, I am sure that neither I set any password for the memory card nor I encrypt the memory card. I am not sure how memory card became password protected. Before updating the software I used to install applications on the memory card. Just before the update I pulled out the memory card and updated the software. And as soon as I inserted the card in the phone it started asking for the password. I took my phone the Nokia Care and I was told that there is no way to recover the password without losing the data. Please help in recovering the password. I cannot afford to lose data on the card.

Yesterday, I opened my phone's gallery and saw 1140 files (I have 1140 images in the gallery) which were all named "ID_RM588_MC011_1.0_2G". The files can't be deleted, and it uses up my phone memory. Is there a way to delete the files? If yes, is it safe to delete the files?

I've bought a nokia C5 in Chennai . When i removed the memory card and inserted in Motorola phone its saying Memory card is locked . I tried all possible passwords . But its not working . When i insert then same its again in my C5 its asking for password . Is there any way to unlock my phone .

I'm having a trouble with my simcard memory where after i hard & soft reset (*#7370#) and restored confguration, my phone suddenly requested a password form my memory card. i never set any password for my memory card. Please help me as i don t want to format my memory card as have a lot's of application and a very important data. I dont do any back up my data in memory card. even if i had, i cant restore it because the card was locked.

I updated the software on my E63, while the memory card was taken out. After the upgrade, when i re-insert my memory card, its asking for password. No password was ever set on the card. I dont want to lose my data

i was workin with ma mobile which it gave me memory cleaner when ever i try to cancel it my bb got locked and never move so i put the battery off and when i tun it on i have the problem app. error 200 reset i done the all steps one by one but i also have the same problem i've with the desktop manager says. no update is required for your device

I've tried to update the software (maps 3.1 + Python2.0) on my E52 via the software updater on both the phone itself and the Nokia PC Suite but it doesn't want to do it, despite the fact that I have 14GB (!) free memory on the sd card and also sufficient internal memory. It gives the message: 'Not enough memory for update. Delete soms data and try again.

Try the remote lock message (message you sent in the SMS to lock the phone remotely) as the memory card unlock password.I upgraded my phone from v210.21.006 to v500.21.009 today. Took all the usual precautions like removing remote lock (didn't reset the custom lock code to default) backup content to PC & memory card, then removed the card from the phone before upgrade. Then after upgrade and restoring settings inserted the card & was prompted for a password. Tried lock code/default lock code before and various other passwords before figuring out it might be the message text for the remote lock.

Just updated from Ovi Maps 3.03 to 3.04 and my E55 device memory went down by 10Mb. Why is this? It's an update! The size of the installers differs by only 500kb.Every time I update the maps app, my device memory just shrinks away until I have to reset the phone to reclaim the memory.Do the updates actually replace the old files or just add bloat?Also had to re-download and re-install all maps and voice guidence (to SD memory) after the upgrade.

Obviously there are not too many still using the Nokia E72 around here. But of those having updated to firmware version 91.003 how much free mem there is after startup, i.e. with PhoNetInfo or a similar application?With 73.001 I have about 40 to 41MB with unused apps deinstalled or turned off.

I just got an update message for update 4.2. something.. I didnt record the full update number/version.I gave the ok to download and install after reading the warning that it might take up to 7 minutes to complete.It has locked with the red dot "M" logo for 30 minutes.What should I do now? Holding the power button does not turn it off , no buttons get any response. I am about to pull the battery and restart but I fear I might cobble up the update and cause more harm.

The thing is, i'm running out of memory in my 5800, i had 36 mb free in my phone and after updating to ovimaps 3.3 i have 30 mb, a there's still 15 mb to be updated, my question is, can i set the updates (im updating with the app. update)to be install in the memory card instead of the phone? Hi guys, I'm having problem with my memory card after I updated to version 50 formware. After installating version 50, everthing works file. But After I configure my email, it seems that my memory card's content was reset to defaul. The folders that are only visible are the default folders when you reformat the memory card. But the free space is still the same as the size before the memory card was corrupted. So I'm confident that the files are still there because the size is the same. Is there a way to recover those files?

I have an iPhone on the network 3, but am moving to tesco mobile. The phone is unlocked, and I have had other sims in it before. Since this update, only my 3 sim will work? Is on a new baseband too. 04.12.01 My phone has always worked before hand with other sim cards, so I can't get my head about what could be wrong.When I put the sim in I get no service, and when I go into airplane mode and back out, it says sim failure. I know its not the sim itself, because it is a new sim and I have tested it in my HTC Wildfire.I jumped from IOS 5.0.1 to 5.1.1 because I hadnt had time to update my phone in these last months

I have the 3Gs and jailbroke it the first day I got it. Just a few days ago my iphone locked up and I had to restore it. Since I was FORCED to update to the new OS 4, I can't JB it yet.
I was looking around the settings options and I noticed that it has th e "tethering" options on my phone just like when I had it JB. I did a search and I did not find anything about tethering on the new OS, just that it was promised by ATT a few months ago but they never did.So is there something special about m phone or do they normaly have this options available just you can't use it?

I've tried to update both my iphone 4 and 4s both of which was unsuccessful, now all I have on my phones screens are the itunes logo and the usb as if it wants me to attached to itunes! when i do neither of the phones will show up on the itunes screen on my computer ! as if it wont recognise them, went into the apple store in town they want to charge me 5 pounds to sort it which i think is a joke since both phones were fine before this update !

Totally new to this phone, with the option to download applications. Having great fun in doing so but not always given the option of where to save them to with the end result that they are saving to the phone memory which keeps filling up and then giving me an error message. Can anyone please tell me how to move apps from the phone memory to the card memory. And can anyone also tell me if I have an icon on the 'Menu' screen and the 'Apps' screen, does this mean the application has been downloaded twice and do I need both or can I delete one (presumably the 'Menu' one)?

Have just been sent new E72 as my old one died (see my other post). All is well except when i connect to PC via USB cable and select 'Mass Storage' I get the message 'Memory Store Unavailable' on my phone and cannot access the contents of my memory card. I have the latest firmware on the phone. I can access the card through nokia PC Suite but that's a pain and I never had this problem before with my old E72.I'm running XP - if I go to my computer and double click 'Removable Disc (E' I just get the 'please insert disc into drive E' message.
