Am using Nokia Phone Browser 2 together with Nokia Big Screen for HDMI connectio to TV set. This produces low-resolution iamges on the TV screen, as if the phone browser choses a resolution for its own screen and is not aware of the Big Screen.I suggest Nokia to improve the integration between these 2 apps?
View 2 RepliesI've been able to set a streaming solution through VLC to my nokia device and can stream netTV, movies, DVD discs, webcam from my personal PC. Through the tests, i've found that the maximum resolution is width=352, height=288 which is 11:9 aspect ratio. Of course i can set 16:9 ratio which again has the limitation of the width=352. Every pixel above 352 makes the nokia response in "Unable to play video clip".So obviously there is some limitation in the resolutions through live streams. When i play a video from the Memory Card, 640*360 is supported without a problem.The problem is, that i have access to several streams , which are live TVs and i can watch only those, that are below 352 pixels wide. Those that are in resolution 448*336 don't play, although the format and the codecs of the stream are the same as with the 352*288.So, is there a way , that i can remove these limitations, or at least allow the Real Player to play streaming links with higher than 352 pxls width?

I'm having difficulty updating my nokia N97 software to the latest version; as the current one on my phone is version v20.0.019. My phone's screen keeps blacking out and to restore the front screen applications I have to keep switching it off then back on again. I've been to the nokia dealer with this issue but they sent me back home and suggested I keep trying the update. I've been trying this but the nokia software installer in my computer suggests it cannot find my mobile when connected through the usb cable (even though my pc detects the connection). I dont know what I'm doing wrong, can someone suggest something else and also what is the latest version I can get?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI cannot understand why a phones camera software does not allow the user to lower the resolution below the max resolution.The Lumia 710 only allows 5MP res. in 4:3 format. WHY?? And I cannot find an app that easily allows the res. to be lower than 5MP.Is there anything in the works, ie. camera software update that will allow for lower resolution pics? I use this feature for work and 1.3MP was sufficient for my needs, and when archiving my photos didn't take up 1+MB per pic on my hard drive.I may have to go back to my C7 belle.

So when i zoom in they are with poor details. I have not found settings to change photo resolution and so i don't know how to take better photo.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI wonder if it is possible to change maximum video capturing resolution (programmably) from 640x480 @30fps to lets say 720x480 @ 25 fps (720p would be beyond my expectations anyway). I guess there should not be any dramatic quality drop because of 5 fps, but the quality of picture will be somewhat better - similar to DVD resolution.

When I capture the image immediately with one click, the image seems to be blurred (especially when I photograph texts).To make it capture the image properly with clear text, I should keep pressing the camera button till I see the green brackets then take the photo.

I've just come to install the UK maps on my device and it's only 160mb. Is this right, since last time I installed the UK maps it was well over 1GB. So what's going on here? When I save the picture it's that same size. I would love for someone to help me with this. What's the point of haveing a camra phone or having people send you pictures if you can't see them?
View 4 Replies View RelatedDid I miss the memo that says deleting lo-res photos will somehow not allow one to open the hi-res versions? I have the 1520 connected to my Windows 7 PC (via USB) and wanted to keep the hi-res versions only, so I deleted the lo-res ones. The hi-res files still appear as physical files in file explorer with multiple megabytes but no preview/ thumbnail (same as before). I can't transfer them to an empty folder on my Desktop or to Imgur, nothing happens, not even an explanation. I checked my recycle bin and the lo-res files are no where to be found.

I can understand that it's important to know, if I would be using line 2 accidentially, but since line 1 is the default, I don't want to know about it. So how do I get rid of this ugly "1" on top? View 7 Replies View RelatedI noticed that sometimes when an app is loading after selecting it from the app store, the icon is very high res when it has the loading bar.After the app loads and installs,the icon makes a noticable shift to a low res version.It is definitely not because the icon is grayed out, you can visibly see the switch from high res to low res.Anyone know how to fix this?No idea why an icon would show in high res then switch for no reason.

So the problem is - how can i re-install previously purchased applications in ovi store?I thought it will be easy way, however it doesn't. Despite the fact that all of my previously purchased apps appeared in "My Stuff" section in Ovi Store applications, i cant download it, they only offer me to buy it again, I tried to solve this problem using pc, i wanted to download apps to pc from ovi store website and then move to phone. But all i can do - send a link to phone, and there i was offered to buy app again. It's just shocking omission of Ovi Store, that repels future purchases.
