why is Sleeping Screen not supported in nokia 500 belle? I downloaded on my 500, but not running properly. display is only shown for a second while unlocking. is it due to hardware restriction?

Even though i went to settings and chose to have my wifi on even when the phone is sleeping, it just won't work. It works when my phone is charging but that's it.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have notification sounds turned on for various APPS (e.g., email, FB). When the screen is off, it seems like more often than not I don't receive an alert when I receive emails/FB updates. Only when I wake the screen up & swipe my fingerprint that "location" shows up & I suddenly get my alert notification sound that I have email. Kind of useless since I have to open up my device to see if I have any notifications.
I honestly think this has SOMETHING to do with Location services, but not sure.
Somebody recommended to use Sleeping Screen from Nokia beta labs to get notfied of messages and emails - however, it doesn't show any notification for emails that arrived through mail for exchange/gmail on my X7 (which I'm using while my E6 is at Nokia Care to get the battery/notification light issues fixed). So even if it would work on the E6 (which it doesn't), it would not be a replacement for the improperly working notification light.

I'm having difficulty updating my nokia N97 software to the latest version; as the current one on my phone is version v20.0.019. My phone's screen keeps blacking out and to restore the front screen applications I have to keep switching it off then back on again. I've been to the nokia dealer with this issue but they sent me back home and suggested I keep trying the update. I've been trying this but the nokia software installer in my computer suggests it cannot find my mobile when connected through the usb cable (even though my pc detects the connection). I dont know what I'm doing wrong, can someone suggest something else and also what is the latest version I can get?

This produces low-resolution iamges on the TV screen, as if the phone browser choses a resolution for its own screen and is not aware of the Big Screen.I suggest Nokia to improve the integration between these 2 apps?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been loging battery performance for a while, and I've noticed that there seems to be little variance between drain while in use and drain while sleeping.
Last night my battery dropped over 50% from 100% without any [major] on screen time. The phone was totally disconnected from any radio interfaces, and everything should have been sleeping.
I do have a white list to alow my smartwatch 3 to work while the phone's asleep, but these are things like Google services.
The battery stats for the period when the battery dropped shows;
Android system 10%,
Android OS 7%
Cell Standby 3%
Screen 3%
Phone Idle 2%
Media server 1%.
I don't really code that much anymore, but if this where a system I was debugging I'd be suspicious that Android Systems and Android OS are using such a big chunk of power while the system should be asleep and waiting to be activated by the only remaining interface, the cellar connection!
I leave Motocast in the System Tray, whether or not I'm syncing to my Droid Maxx, the PC is prevented from going to sleep. I have confirmed that the checkmark next to "Prevent Computer From Going to Sleep is unchecked. Why is that setting being ignored? I want my computer to sleep after the predetermined number of minutes has passed.

When I wake my phone, there's no WiFi connection and there's a little '?' next to the mobile signal icon - but when I wake it up, the WiFi connects and the '?' on the mobile signal disappeared.
'Keep WiFi on during the sleep' is toggled to 'always', so I really can't understand why it's doing this.

Its been discussed in other threads but thought it would be helpful to have people post the problem in a new thread to get more visibility and gather more information for Motorola so maybe they can help get it fixed for everyone who is having the problem.General Assumption on common Symptom:Xoom is going to sleep if left idle and is not waking up. Additionally if left idle is also observed to be rebooting on its own. Often takes the 3 finger salute (vol up + vol Down + power) to get device to come back on. Battery life seems to be lower than normal due to problem.
Is Xoom refusing to wake up when attached to power when it goes to sleep? Is Xoom refusing to wake up when not attached to charger when it goes to sleep? How long does it take after device is sleeping for problem to occur? Is there any difference with device "freezing" or not waking up from when let it go to sleep on its own, or when you hit power button to put it to sleep? Have you done a factory reset on your device? If you have done a factory reset did you test the device for problem before adding your applications back?When trying to wake up device how many times did you push power button?Is device appearing to reboot itself and when is it doing so? So the problem is - how can i re-install previously purchased applications in ovi store?I thought it will be easy way, however it doesn't. Despite the fact that all of my previously purchased apps appeared in "My Stuff" section in Ovi Store applications, i cant download it, they only offer me to buy it again, I tried to solve this problem using pc, i wanted to download apps to pc from ovi store website and then move to phone. But all i can do - send a link to phone, and there i was offered to buy app again. It's just shocking omission of Ovi Store, that repels future purchases.
