I have Nokia N8.Yesterday was Diwali. So, I wanted to take pics when a cracker brusts. But every time I take the snap, only the snap after the cracker brusts comes. As in digital cameras, they have a feature that once u click the button, automatically and continuosly 3 to 4 snaps will be taken.in that case we can take any pic that happens very suddenly.So, is there any app like that for Nokia N8.

It seems that whenever I take a picture using the built in camera, the SD-card's filesystem gets more or less corrupted (the pictures are saved on an 8GB MicroSD card FAT32 formatted).When checking the filesystem after taking one ore more pictures using latest dosfsck (a unix tool), errors range from "Free cluster summary wrong" (which is more or less harmless), differing FATs, and truncated files (in all my test cases images that were just taken).Other applications are also affected: I had no voice in my navigation application until I repaired the file system using fsck.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy mobile is a Nokia N8. I recently updated Phone Apps, I'm not very technical so I followed all prompts asked of me. It advised to restart my phone which I did. When the phone restarted, I lost 3months worth of pictures, my profiles (general, silent etc) were reset but still had messages in my inbox, and god knows what else I haven't noticed yet.I must note also that I received text messages from O2, my service provider. They said, message 1 "you'll receive settings for our phone to allow you to easily access O2's great services". Message 2 "Select Save from Options to configure all settings". I followed these messages. I contacted O2 who advised it was nothing to do with them!!! Not one bit helpful either.

I had around 90 MB of free space on the device, and then proceeded to load a handful of applications. I haven't done the exact math, but I think I loaded around 5 MB of applications. The free memory has gone down by around 15 to 20 MB. Is there some sort of file management issue that "wastes" memory on the Blackberry? I have tried all the usual tricks to free up memory - running Memory Cleaner, running Memory Booster, clearing all cached items in various applications, pulling the battery. Still, free memory remains below 70 MB.

I did research and I found out it should be in the collections part but all the 700 pictures are not there. where are these pictures?

I have a SGS2 that is one year old, I still use gingerbred 2.3.3, and I haven't attempted anything special prior to getting the problem. I first noticed I had a problem when I booted my phone yesterday: booting took much more time than it use too, but then it worked. After entering my password, I got access to the usual page, but then, pop-ups appeared one after the other saying: "Sorry, need to close the application "name it". Thanks for trying again" (don't know what's the precise wording in english because mine is in an other language... still, you get the picture). The phone still works for calling, SMS and a bunch of apps... but applications like facebook, twitter, lookout, dropbox and a few games won't boot anymore.
Other things I noticed:
- I lost a few apps (at least 2) that disappeared completely from the phone
- I can't erase the cache when accessing settings/storage. Also, it won't recognize the SD Card space availability in the storage section. However, when looking at it by accessing settings/applications/memory usage, I can see what are the apps on my SD card.
- There is no correlation between the apps that have problems and the ones found on the internal SD memory card.
- Over the past month, my phone would sometime reboot after being closed. Didn't happen frequently, but I read this could be linked to the USB port? Anyway, just saying it here while I'm typing something.
- Finally, I have the feeling the OS version is not the one i had previously (downgraded?) because several apps asked to be updated after rebooting the phone a few times. Just I feeling because if i changed the OS for an upgrade, it was over 10 months ago.
So that's it. I already tried booting with the three buttons trick to erase the cache in basic mode: didn't changed a thing.
This is the 2nd time this has happened to me with my Torch and I was curious to see if anyone else was having this problem.
On the left side of my screen its a black "cloud" that appears. When I look into my camera lens, it looks as if the framing that protects the lens from the BlackBerry's shell has fallen and is in the way of the lens, creating that "cloud".
I bought my first phone brand new from Rogers and literally maybe 2 days after my 30 day warranty this happened. I got Rogers to send me a refurbished phone (which by the way had some scuffs in it) and within a few months, this happened again.
Does anyone know if Rogers or BlackBerry will fix this for me? If not does anyone know how much it costs?
My camera kept going off taking random pictures then i went to telus got a download and it has done it once so far then this morning it went to my password as it does after its been inactive for an hour and this time i cannot use the keys to type in my password. And it wont let me use the keys on the touch screen.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI bought the N97 in October 09 (its now Feb 2010) and since then I've had multiple problems with this phone and each time something different! This phone has been nothing but problems and each time I take it in to be serviced I get it back almost a week later and within 24hrs it has already died again and generally wont even go past the nokia screen when rebooted or will freeze up and not turn on at all. I seem to be constantly having software and memory issues as well as having problems accessing the applications and the touch screen being temperamental even tho I have asked for these problems to be fixed on each occasion. This time I went back to the Nokia Care centre and spoke to the Manager and all he could tell me was that he's done what he had to do and that he is not obliged to do anymore and I can keep bringing it back when it fails as it is under warranty.
I am highly disappointed in this phone, it has given me nothing but problems and even more annoyed and disappointed in the staff at the Care Centre. I actually wonder if they actually do check the phone and fix it properly especially since it keeps dying and I havent even used it. I also have a list of about 42 people who have had multiple problems and issues with their N97 and continue to have problems despite getting it serviced. Is anyone else in the same boat? How I can get out of my contract or actually get my phone fixed without having to go thru this again or being patronised by the store manager again?
Camera taking forever to take a picture? There is about a 2 second delay on mine that I can't find out how to get rid of. Keep missing out on those moment pics that happen. The camera takes good pics, when I can find a still already.

Whenever I take pictures of like notes and stuff (in the document mode), the quality is great, but when it comes to zooming in, the pixels don't clear up at all, they remain blurry, so in the end the document mode is a complete useless tool! I have seen other phones like the Iphone 4 or the blackberry torch have great quality even when zoomed in, the pixels clear up. I thought sony was known for its camera!
