Feb 2, 2010Everyone is ranting about the auto rotate but I have never got it working on my phone. I read somewhere that it only works with the image gallery but on my E72-1 this is not so. It would be nice is someone pointed me in the right direction.

Mar 26, 2012Using a Lumia 800 in the UK and (believe it or not) only just realised that it hasn't auto-corrected for daylight-saving time. Can't see an option for it either - am I just missing a really obvious setting somewhere? Time/date has many place options but no DST - is that correct?

Mar 4, 2012I travel a lot and I've noticed that quite often when I turn on my phone after landing that the time zone doesn't automatically switch time zones and network time is unavailable. Is there a reason for this? I would have thought that all networks would broadcast time and that all phones would be able to receive it.

Jun 11, 2010As soon as I updated phone to latest firmware, auto rotate stopped working. Previous firmware I had was v21. I made update through Nokia Ovi Suite. I tried several methods to restore auto rotate:
1. restore factory settings (soft reset)
2. unmark auto rotate, restart, mark auto rotate
3. removing battery for few minutes
4. finally tried hard reset
And auto rotate is still not working. Is there anything else that can be done to enable auto rotate again?
HTC One M7 :: Auto Time Ringer On And Off?
Nov 3, 2013My wife is a teacher so her phones ringer is off during school hours. The problem is that she forgets to turn it back on and when I need to get in touch, no dice. Is there a way to have the ringer auto turn off at say 7am and auto turn back on at 4:30pm? Its a HTC One.

Sep 1, 2014Basically I never get any notification of app updates, not do they update automatically. I have to go into app store regularly, then to updates and thereafter it shows the updates available, and shows the badge on the app store logo (ie red 3 for three new updates).
I've tried logging out of the current apple ID, powering off, on, putting apple ID back, no difference.
Tried turning off automatic updates, powering off, on, putting it back on, no difference (it's currently set in obviously).
Also difficult yo test as each time I need to wait for new updates to be issues to see if it works or not.

May 5, 2014I have paired my bluetooth device to Galaxy S5. No issues. If I go into my settings and select bluetooth, I see my device list as the only "paired device"
EVERY morning, I have to go into my bluetooth settings and click the _only_ paired device to connect. When I do, it connects with no issues.
All I want the S5 to do is connect when it gets in range (in range since bluetooth is always on).
I doesn't do this by itself. Why? I do not have any issues pairing. It just doesn't auto connect.

Mine is enabled and seems to update when my phone connects to a data source (e.g. when retrieving email or when browsing websites) but the time retrieved seems to be about two minutes slow. Where does the phone get it's time signal from? Is this a network thing (i.e. it is Orange that is running slow) or does it obtain the time from a Nokia server?

May 8, 2010I've had a nokia 5800 for about 6 or 7 months now. when I got the phone I turned on the automatic time update and it kept time really well. Then it got to about november last year and suddenly it jumped ahead 1 hour. Now every morning I have to turn on auto update (since the phone wont keep time without it), let the time update, change the time back one hour and tell it I havn't changed time zones. I live in Perth Western Australia and we dont use daylight savings so I dont know what is going on with it.

May 3, 2012She doesn't want to be prompted or asked for the iTunes password for every single update. She doesn't have that many apps and finds the little red prompt very annoying. She has unlimited data so that's not a concern. I can understand typing in your password to BUY an app, but to have to enter it for every iTunes transaction is really annoying. I have a Galaxy Nexus and can set it up to not give me update prompts. Is there a similar option for the iPhone?

Jul 1, 2014the auto-updating of apps stopped working on my iPhone (4s/iOS 7.1.2). Not sure if that's a coincidence but it seems like it stopped working immediately after iOS 8 got released to developers (on June 2), as if somehow the App Store got configured differently, preventing devices running iOS 7 to auto-update apps. Auto update of apps used to happen at night here, most likely when the system has been idle and plugged in for a while, but no more. I find apps to update every morning, nothing has been done automatically.
ps: I did de-activate reboot and re-activate auto-update, no change.
