My new 6700 Classic turns itself off fairly often. It's especially extremely annoying when I've been on hold for a long time and then have to start all over again during 15 minute wait time or whatever. It's also infuriating when I'm using the navigation and go to look at directions but phone is off and then I have to pull over and wait 5 minutes for it to turn on and find satellite again.Do I have a defective phone or is it possible a firmware update or making sure battery is as tight as possible or any other thing might be the solution? It's a UK phone but I'm in the states and don't think I'd be able to get a warranty replacement.
I recently purchased a nokia 6700,im on vodafone but i cant get online.the phone has been unlocked from the 3 network.ive contacted vodafone for the settings needed but as they dont sell the 6700 they have no settings for it.ive called nokia and although they helped(i think) they said only vodafone could give me the settings.

Probably a simple thing im missing. I cant launch the internet by holding the zero in! I can access and get online by using the web icon in the root folder so the set up must be right. Also, how do I get the connection to disconnect once exiting the web. I can see the connection in still on in 'conn manager' Although it states its inactive I have to manually disconnect. it.
I wonder if and when the free navigation for the 6700 classic is available? Just Bought his phone and installed the latest OVI Maps. When I want to start navigation I have to buy a license? I bought this phone and there should be free navigation with it?
Have tried to set up my pop3 email on my 6700 slide using the same settings I've always used on previous phones/pc and for some reason emails just won't send. However my main problem is that I keep getting a message flash on screen saying 'Unable to send message:[Email address]. As soon as I clear it, it comes back about 2 seconds later and just won't go away. Stops me doing anything on the phone as I have to keep clearing the message every few seconds. I've gone into drafts/outbox, every folder I can find in 'Messaging' and there's no copy of the email to even delete it. I've even gone to my mail server on the web and the message isn't showing. From the mailbox itself on the phone, I've tried to folders under 'More folders' but there's nothing showing - no sent or drafts folders. How can I stop this error message appearing every 2 seconds?
I just obtained a 6700 slide, and it seems to be rebooting all the time. Example: launch the browser, close it, run the camera, take a picture, delete it, and hop, it reboots. The firmware update software does not offer an upgrade, and the formatting of the device does not change anything (*#7370#)Is that a known issue, or can it be my device that has a problem ?
I'm not sure if it's some fuction on the phone that is trying to connect or what.It wasn't bothering me that much until this morning when my alarm didn't go off. When I looked at my phone the little display box was on the screen and only when I cancelled that did the alarm go off. A text message also came in when the display box was cancelled, although it had been sent an hour earlier.I can't really rely on the alarm function until I get this sorted out so if anyone has any tips?
Is there any way to stop the screen going blank on my 6700 after only a few second? keep pressing a key to get it back up. The screen saver is set to off
I want to know the material of the Nokia 6700 classic which most of the websites state as chrome. I actually want to know what is chrome made of?And also how to maintain and clean the Nokia 6700 classic made from chrome material?
I resently bought a Nokia 6700 classic. Before I tranfer al my date from my other phone, I checked my software version. I was 7.60. I check the newest version and that was 7.90. So I decided to update my phone. I made a backup of my data and started to updat my phone. But the update failled. Every time I tried, I go a white screen with the words "Test Mode".
So i tought: "Maybe it is my problem. So I conneceted the USB cable directly to the main board for my pc. I re-installed al software. But still no succeded update.
I have just getting a new phone and the applications in it are poor, the convertor especially, I used to have lots of different conversions in my last phone but this one only has degrees to celcius, so how can I update it and get others which I may find useful.I am on PAYG with o2 with a nokia 6700 classic.
I am using the nokia 6700 classic and when I select "recently used" to populate the To: field of a text message I get the same 4 contacts every time. It seems to have stopped updating at some point, because even if I select new recipients from my contacts they do not get added to the "recently used" list. This is sort of a annoying, so I was wondering if anyone has experienced this problem or found a solution. I would rather not do a factory reset of the phone if I don't have to.
I bought a o2 nokia 6700 last week but the internet connection seems to be very slow. I can get onto msn and it seems fine but other websites and address i try to get into either take ages to load or fail.
I've had this phone for 2 weeks but haven't been able to find any video editing application. It's definitely listed in the specification. I've checked the menu when opening a file and there's no option to edit there either.
I had the Bluetooth problem before and got new HW (motherboard). Everything was ok for 1 day and then the phone starts to shut down when it at idle. could take 1-2 hours before it just decides to shut down. it seems very ramdom. first few times it started again but suddenly I had to take out the battery...wait a while and then start it and today it decided to shut down and I can't start it at all. Had the battery out for 10 min but not any life signs when I try again.
I own a 6700 and yesterday i lost my calculator function which is usually in the organiser screen has any one had the same problem and if so how do you get it back?
I get an error when trying to add or edit a contact. It says "SIM card error" followed by "Contacts: already in use". The change is then not visible in contacts, ie no new contact can be seen and no changes have been made. The contact is only updated when I turn the phone off then on again. Obviously this is not a practical solution so is there any other more permanent solution?
Since taking delivery of new 6700 couple of days ago the battery is lucky to last 10 hours with the bluetooth turned off, there is a symbol that i cannot find an explanation for which is an @ with a + sign inside it, could this be the reason why or do i just need to send the phone back with a faulty battery ?
I got a few days ago a Nokia 6300 classic. Yesterday, while playing with one of the included games (brain something), and everything got stuck (screen mangled, no response from the keys). After some time I removed the battery, but when I reinserted it the screen remained blank, just with the backlight on. No response at all, whatever I type. Is there a key sequence / button to force complete reset?
Yesterday i started to experience problems with my Nokia 6700 for the first time (it's a a year old). While using the phone it would suddenly freeze and the screen would go black, and then back on. Then today the screen went black, and it never came back on. Now i can't start up the phone. The backlight flashes for a second and it vibrates when i hold the power on/off button, but nothing happens. Tried to remove SIM, memory card and battery already of course. It is dead?

Alot of people dont like the headphones that comes with it but i think i can live with them other than that i have read good reviews. If anyone has got a Nokia 6700 Classic it would be great for your replys as i want to be sure befor i get it.
I notice the recent Nokia announcement that navigation is now free on all it's S60 based phones. However, I just purchased a new Nokia 6700 Classic (Which has built in A-GPS, Nokia Maps pre-loaded & full offline Australia maps), but it runs S40 Software. At the moment it appears Nokia still wants to charge me for turn-by-turn voice navigation. It seems a little unfair that the free navigation will only be offered on the S60 handsets when all Nokia have to do is send a free license code to S40 maps users to enable us to do the same.
I'm currently using 'We-Travel' on my Nokia 6700 which is a free 'Offline' GPS application. I'd much prefer to use Nokia's own maps software for navigation, but it's too expensive. Does Nokia have any intention of making the free navigation available on the 6700 classic, or will users of non-S60 handsets still have to pay for this function?
