Probably a simple thing im missing. I cant launch the internet by holding the zero in! I can access and get online by using the web icon in the root folder so the set up must be right. Also, how do I get the connection to disconnect once exiting the web. I can see the connection in still on in 'conn manager' Although it states its inactive I have to manually disconnect. it.

I've just bought a Nokia Lumia 800 and I'm trying to transfer my address from my old Nokia 6700 classic to my new phone. When I use the Phone Switch option on my 6700, it says that the service is not supported by the new device. I've tried exporting the contacts on my PC from my 6700 using Nokia Suite, but for some reason the exported .vcf files only include the contact names and not the numbers.

Im either going to get another 6700 or something newer but very similar, and the 6303i looks like the one! On the 6303i can I customise the nav button to perform shortcuts i.e left to text, right to select music player. View 1 Replies View RelatedI am planning to purchase a Nokia 6700 slide for my mother, however, the seller has stated that it takes a long time to start up, anything between 5 minutes to an hour; and often varies. I am wondering what is casuing the problem with the device before purchasing, other than the start-up time, everything on the handset works perfectly fine (according to the seller).
Would reinstalling the operating system be of any solution? From what I know, there are no other faults for the device, and the boot up error occured totally randomly. This boot- up time is the only fault on the phone; and could be a problem, as my mother may be unable to charge the device at various points, where the phone would turn off due to low battery.
Or are there any other steps which I could take to ensure that this problem doesn't occur? Also, this is an old phone, therefore it is out of warranty.
I am unable to change songs in the music player by simply pressing the button in the earphones provided with nokia 6700 slide.To change the current song, i have to goto the now playing song in the music player and then press the next button.

I had a lot of Nokia and on each one, you had the possibility to put the date and hour as a screen saver. But with my Nokia 6700 Slide, I just don't find the way to configure it. On the stand-by mode the screen is just black when the keypad is locked.
I went back to the shop where i bought it, the guy tried to configure it and he couldn't so he decided to change the mobile phone by a new one because he said all the nokia mobile phones do it so it's a bug. But with the new one, it's the same problem, the seller configured the 6700 slide with the "date" screen saver and nothing except black screen. I went back home and install 2 another free screen saver : cClcok and Largetime and it is the same ! black screen !
So I called nokia hot line and they could'nt help me because this phone is too recent, they hadn't one at this moment to try...
i have a very strange problem with my nokia 6700 classic the problem shortly is that when i go to a certain place in the mobile stop connecting with the SIM card in it ad when somebody calls me a msg tell him that the mobile is closed i phoned the customer service and they tried to solve the problem but they can't i switched the SIM card with in another mobile and it works !!! , i tried another SIM card in the mobile and it dosen't works so the problem is in the mobile with my problem another strange thing that this is the only place tat happen it it this strange problem and my mobile is the only on that have tihs problem another thing is that my mobile was working propibly.

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy new 6700 Classic turns itself off fairly often.It's especially extremely annoying when I've been on hold for a long time and then have to start all over again during 15 minute wait time or whatever.It's also infuriating when I'm using the navigation and go to look at directions but phone is off and then I have to pull over and wait 5 minutes for it to turn on and find satellite again.Do I have a defective phone or is it possible a firmware update or making sure battery is as tight as possible or any other thing might be the solution?It's a UK phone but I'm in the states and don't think I'd be able to get a warranty replacement.

View 7 Replies View RelatedHave tried to set up my pop3 email on my 6700 slide using the same settings I've always used on previous phones/pc and for some reason emails just won't send. However my main problem is that I keep getting a message flash on screen saying 'Unable to send message:[Email address]. As soon as I clear it, it comes back about 2 seconds later and just won't go away. Stops me doing anything on the phone as I have to keep clearing the message every few seconds. I've gone into drafts/outbox, every folder I can find in 'Messaging' and there's no copy of the email to even delete it. I've even gone to my mail server on the web and the message isn't showing. From the mailbox itself on the phone, I've tried to folders under 'More folders' but there's nothing showing - no sent or drafts folders. How can I stop this error message appearing every 2 seconds?

Example: launch the browser, close it, run the camera, take a picture, delete it, and hop, it reboots.The firmware update software does not offer an upgrade, and the formatting of the device does not change anything (*#7370#)Is that a known issue, or can it be my device that has a problem ?

When I looked at my phone the little display box was on the screen and only when I cancelled that did the alarm go off. View 5 Replies View RelatedI resently bought a Nokia 6700 classic. Before I tranfer al my date from my other phone, I checked my software version. I was 7.60. I check the newest version and that was 7.90. So I decided to update my phone. I made a backup of my data and started to updat my phone. But the update failled. Every time I tried, I go a white screen with the words "Test Mode".
So i tought: "Maybe it is my problem. So I conneceted the USB cable directly to the main board for my pc. I re-installed al software. But still no succeded update.
I have just getting a new phone and the applications in it are poor, the convertor especially, I used to have lots of different conversions in my last phone but this one only has degrees to celcius, so how can I update it and get others which I may find useful.I am on PAYG with o2 with a nokia 6700 classic.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am using the nokia 6700 classic and when I select "recently used" to populate the To: field of a text message I get the same 4 contacts every time. It seems to have stopped updating at some point, because even if I select new recipients from my contacts they do not get added to the "recently used" list. This is sort of a annoying, so I was wondering if anyone has experienced this problem or found a solution. I would rather not do a factory reset of the phone if I don't have to.
My firmware is 10.50.
