This may sound petty but virgin has hijacked my right shortcut key so in the phone settings under shortcuts only the left shortcut key is displayed and not the right shortcut key. and on the display just above the right shortcut key is virgin. pressing the right shortcut key takes me to a virgin media site . how can i free up the key to put a preferred shortcut in or is it hardwired at the factory??

I have bought 6303i classic and it seems to be an okay phone, except one thing: there are no Drafts folder! Is it possible that such a basic feature is missing in a world famous brand of a phone?! I am having problems exchanging this phone now because technically there is nothing wrong with it, but I am not at all happy with the absence of the Drafts feature. I didn't check it when I was buying the phone because I assumed that this folder would be present in ANY modern phone these days! Can anyone suggest any way to update this feature into the phone (I hear there is a separate SMS application that you can download onto your phone).

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have already had 5 different Nokia mobiles but that one feels incomplete. I miss some messaging options like:
- choosing not to save automatically all sent messages in the Sent Items folder
- how to get rid of the Recently Used folder when choosing a contact to whom send a message or at least being able to manually delete contacts in that same folder
- when receiving a message I don't want the name of the contact who has sent it to be shown on the home screen. I just need to be notified of the reception of the message.
Just been upgraded to a 6303i Classic. I want to remove Web (which I won't use) from the Right Selection key and put Names there like it was on my old 6230.
The manual says I can change the Right Selection key in Settings, My Shortcuts. I see options to change the Left Selection key and the Navigation key, but there is no option to change the Right Selection key.
The software is on version 6.84. I attempted the update to 7.10 using the phone's own updater, but it came back saying no update was available.
I bought a 6303i [firmware 6.61] that i am very happy with.as i pay per minute, itīd be nice to have the display permanently lit up whilst a call is active.in order to see how long the callīs been active.unfortunately, the displayīs illumination goes dark approximately 10 seconds after the call has been started.checked ALL settings but didnīt find an option to set it up as desired.does anybody have a clue wether or not this is possible at all?

Im either going to get another 6700 or something newer but very similar, and the 6303i looks like the one! On the 6303i can I customise the nav button to perform shortcuts i.e left to text, right to select music player. Also looking at the 6303i there is no visible app button (the one you hold in to see whats running)

If at all, one doesn't assign a shortcut to it, still there's an icon that is shown as default when nothing is assigned.Here's what you do...1. Download the app called vacuum.sis from the web. Try this link...www.mediafire.com/?a01dw4w4azasjmn2. Install the app anywhere in your phone, phone memory, mass memory or memory card.3. Now go to homescreen and press and hold to go into edit mode.4. Tap the desired location for adding the shortcut bar and select it from the list of widgets available.5. Once the shortcut bar is added, tap it and go into the settings for adding the shortcuts to it.6. Now if you want to add only one app in the shortcut bar, select the desired location from one to four and add the app. In the rest of the locations, add the vacuum app.7.
Now close the shortcut and return to home screen. You should see only one shortcut in the shortcut bar. Just purchased 6303i classic. Downloaded Nokia Suite. Tried every way to sync contacts but no success. Error message code 80043ab4. 1 suggestion was to uninstal Nokia Suite completely and start again. Have done that twice but contacts will still not sync. Same error number. At one point I found Nokia PC Suite and that synced my contacts, but I understand PC Suite is being discontinued and Nokia Suite is best flavour?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have just started to have this problem after using sync for about a year (so I know what I am doing).However, when syncing music from windows media player to my 6303i it shuffles the tracks, they all come down but not in the right order.I know that you can shuffle music to the phone using the 'shuffle music to my phone' button on the sync tab, but I have not done this!I drag and drop loads of albums to the sync pane on the right and click 'start sync', they all transfer over without errors.When I open the album on my phone the tracks are not in the correct order.Is this a phone problem or WMP?I have checked all the options in WMP and there is not shuffle sync option that I can see.

When I apply the theme and try to open the media player/radio i don't see the new skin. I only get a black screen with a clock in the top right corner. I've tried the same themes on my friend's nokia 6303 classic and they work.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just got my new Nokia E72, happy with it overall, just a couple of niggles (apart from the build quality), which I'd like to check with more owners of this phone. When I press the EMail shortcut key, on the top right side of the keypad, this shortcut doesn't open the general EMail "folder" where I can see my GMail, Yahoo!, and Hotmail email accounts, instead it opens my Yahoo! email account directly, and I have to go back to the general "folder" to see my other email accounts.
I've tried playing with all the different options, but so far cannot make it work as I think it should be, which would be to go to the main EMail "folder", so I can choose which EMail account I want to open/synchronise, and not just opening the first EMail account I set up. Also, is not downloading the "Sent Items" folder, even though I chose "All" in What to download.
Is there any link on help for bottom short cut bar for xterm? What is the first key that is pointer arrow mark? I also tried set -o vi and tried to use j, k to move up and down and it did not work. I never worked with this shell though.

Currently I have one for the messaging application, but that requires me to click "down" (to select Inbox) and then "open".I've searched around a bit and it doesn't seem possible - you can only define shortcuts for applications. But wouldn't it be possible to make an app that opens the inbox and point a shortcut to it? If such an application for S60 exists, I would appreciate if someone could link to it.Yeah, I know it's just two extra clicks the current way, but it's these kind of small things I find annoying with my new Nokia phone (a 6730 classic) - "with so many options, why can't I configure something this basic?". I have am x6, and in the main am happy with it. However as previous owner of 3 diff n series, there are a couple of usability issues that drive me up the wall! For instance, i came to rely on the 'menu plus c' shortcut to quickly close apps. But no matter where i look, i haven't found a similar shortcut on the x6. Which means closing apps can only be done by going back in and doing it manually from within the app. Annoying and slow Is it me, or has that kind of shortcut been removed? Can anyone help? Basically I am unable to add any shortcut to the Orange homescreen, I understand you can only have 4 and have removed all existing shortcuts to make sure, I can drag applications onto the homescreen but when i tap on the 'add shortcut' icon nothing happens, I have tried a soft reset & this did not work either, I am reluctant to do a hard reset because I don't want to have to re-install/configure everything again.
