I bought sony headphones with a on-wire volume control remote, and because of it my 5800 recognises it as a TV Out connector. Now can someone PLEASE tell me how can I disable this function?
View 17 RepliesWhenever my 5800 Xpress Music connects to a wired or bluetooth headset it starts 'Speak now' voice dialling which sometimes accidentally starts a call to one of my contacts and I'm unaware of dialling out until the recipient answers the call. I've checked the forums and instruction manual but switching voice dialling (or commands) off doesn't seem to appear anywhere.

View 4 Replies View RelatedFrequently, a couple of seconds after ending a call with someone on my 5800, the screen is filled with the message "packet data connection active" for a moment. The message won't go away by clicking on the screen. The only way to force it away is by clicking the red button, but that would also take me away from whatever menu or application I was at, so I'd prefer not to do that. Also, I don't want to change to connectivity settings per se, (as seen in, for example, this topic: [URL]). Rather, is there any way to disable just the message?

i'm stumped and looking for some help. So my password in enabled on 9700 but I can't disable it. Disable does not show up in scroll menu and all i can do is enter password and change password.

I had an LG phone with 3G and got better coverage and signal bars on the 2G than I did on the 3G so I kept the phone on 2G. I don't use the internet on my Nokia ... I only use the phone for text messaging and phone calls... My 4G is only showing 2 bars on it's signal and sometimes maybe 3. I will have better signal on the 2G. so i check on user manuel that i can use Single mode on network parameter and put it only in GSM . Whenever I set a reminder for an event (meeting, to do etc) and was not there to turn off or set to snooze when the alarm goes off, the phone stops vibrating. The light continues to blink, but no matter what buttons I press or press and hold, even the power button, the light continues to blink and the phone hangs. The only way is to remove the battery and restart the phone.
Is this a bug in the phone? I've never had such problems with previous Nokia phones. With the previous phones, once the user forgets to turn off the reminder alarm or set it to snooze, after a minute or so, the phone stops vibrating and blinking and the message hides in the background.
Just charged it yesterday and I don't want frequent auto recharging via USB connection while I connect to PC suite ruins the battery for me as repeated charge and discharge would ruin Li-Ion battery. So how do you disable recharging via USB while connecting to the PC?

I have a bluetooth car kit that mutes my car stereo. When ever the Maps app talks the stereo mutes. I would like to disable the voice so I can view directions but not have my stereo continually muted. Turning the volume to zero does not solve it. No voice is head but it still mutes the stereo. Currently my only solution is to turn my N97 bluetooth off. Is voice disable possible? Route66 has that feature. Is tired of Nokia whingers. Go to Apple, that's where you deserve to be.

Sure enough i tried bolt, and it is WAAAAY faster. But i hate the ui in bolt. Hard to save pics, and navigate. Here are my speed test results, and both are thru 3G telus web:

Another problem with my new 5230: I have a pre-paid card (Pay and Go, Proximus, Belgium).I left my phone standby (and ... the battery still doesn't last 1 day, see other post) all day.I checked the amount of pre-paid credit I had in the morning.
I checked again a few hours later (and I did not use the phone): credit is decreased !Checked again a few hours later: credit still decreases. this is becoming very expensive (few Euro's a day) so here are my questions:
-anyone any idea what can cause this?

Hey, I recently got my Nokia N97 Mini, And im just wondering if its possible to disable the Camera Shutter noise whenever your taking a picture, And is it possible to turn off the Red Light when recording?
Its annoying when im trying to record something, Sometimes it will reflect off surfaces.. Also the Camera Shutter noise is annoying.. Interrupts silence when i want to take pictures , At special events.Is there a way to Disable these 2 things?
Found nothing via Google or in this forum so I thought I ask you for help.My provider charges me for SMS delivery report. The SMS itself are free so it's very annoying to pay for the delivery report. With my old phone I could disable these reports but I found no option in the menu to do this on the 2710.
