Is there any way to change or disable the proxy on opera mobile 10? I was doing some speed tests, and one said opera runs thru a proxy and slows it down. Sure enough i tried bolt, and it is WAAAAY faster. But i hate the ui in bolt. Hard to save pics, and navigate. Here are my speed test results, and both are thru 3G telus web:

I have installed opera mini on my Nokia E61. So far Iīm content with it, itīs working well. However, when I visit the website clevertanken.de (a site for viewing current gasoline prices), Iīm stuck - it seems that an advertisement popup opens when I click on the site and I canīt close it, so Iīm stuck on that popup and when I donīt want to go where it wants to link, thereīs no way to go on...How can I turn that off?

so in the Option > advance setting > TCP/ip i set my APN to mtnirancell but still i cant get and send or recive over EDGE.i have to setup Wap Proxy and Http.so how can i setup these stuff in my BB? the Service provider cant help me cuz they dont even know Blackberry.
Hey can anyone help me with setting proxy settings on applications? At university we have a wlan using a proxy server, i set up my access point with proxy settings and port number. Web browsing works fine: when i start web browsing, i am asked to enter my user name and password. But the problem starts when i want to use applications like Vyke Mobile, Chat, E-mail. Somehow there is no connection. I searched the settings of these applications in order to see if there is some place i could enter a proxy/port number, but nothing worked. Any suggestions please, it's driving me crazy !!!!

View 6 Replies View RelatedI've looked around on the net but have not been able to find a solution to this problem.Using an N8 (on Nokia Belle), the WLAN settings does not seem to provide any place to specify the username and password for a proxy based network (Note:this is not the pre-shared key for the WLAN, but the username and password asked by the proxy server). When the browser is used, it prompts for the username and password and then works. However other applications cannot connect to this network as they seemingly lack this feature and the phone does not make this globally available.Nokia Configuration Tool (NCT) 6.3 seems to allow placement of username and password values. When configuration is transferred back to phone, NCT shows successfully configured, but this does not seem to be the case when the settings are used by the phone.

Decided to upgrade to 11.5.1952 (downloaded from Ovi store) yesterday. Install seems to go OK but then it will not launch. It seems to try momentarily but then nothing. Have been able to reinstall 11.00 from the sis file and that still runs fine.

Iv tried going to the download link which then asks where to download the file to, by defaut the "documents" folder for download destination came up so i went with that and then it downloaded the file to that destination. I then went to install the Opera mini file and cant get it to install, when i click on the file it asks which application i would like to open it with, thats as far as i get coz theres no suitable application to open it with. The application icon for opera mini 4.2 has a small yellow key next to it. I am unable to delete the app. I can't install opera mini 5 over the top. I have tried removing it with windows explorer, nokia application manager but neither worked. I tried taking the memory card out and doing all of the above but nothing worked. Please can someone tell me how I can uninstall this application so that I can install opera 5 mini?
