May 10, 2011I can't find gps signal.From the time I bought xoom I can't use gps.I downloaded Gps test app.
The gps is on and there is no gps data-zero.I was outside in front of my house with wi-fi on or off

Motorola Xoom :: Randomly Losing Signal?
Nov 21, 2011I've recently noticed that my xoom is losing connection to the web. In the lower right it says that I have a 3g signal, but none of the apps or browser can connect.After a manual reboot it seems to work again. I never saw this before sending it in for the 4g upgrade. Also this seems to be happening a couple times a day

Mar 28, 2012I just received my Verizon Xoom back from Motorola for the 4G upgrade, the Xoom had 3G signal level before it went in for the 4G upgrade, now it shows no signal level, I checked in "Status", it shows 0dBm in signal strength and network is listed as "Unknown"..this Xoom is not activated and was not activated when it went in for the 4G upgrade, but it DID show 3G signal strength before the upgrade and "Network" was listed as "Verizon".

May 26, 2011My new Xoom doesn't find any WiFi network. Where I am currently, there are at least three networks in reach, one of them is completely open. Neither of them shows up on the list of available networks.
If I set up mobile hotspot on Xoom, I can connect other devices via WiFi to Xoom, which leads me to believe hardware is ok.

May 19, 2011I'm trying to find the best option for mobile internet access for my Xoom.I've ordered the D-Link DAP350 to be able to get wifi from wired internet, but am looking for a router that will accept an onlocked 3.5G modem. So, I looked at the CNet CQR-981 that will accept a USB modem (which the DAP350 apparently does not)The problem as I see it is that they all need some form of setting up/driver, and those will not be available for Andriod-or am I missing something? BTW, I've tried tethering my Xoom to my Nokia N8 both with wifi and BT.

I have found that there seems to be no correlation between the signal strength (in dBm / asu) in Settings -> About phone -> Status and the signal bars that are shown. Often the signal bars will shoot from 1 to 5 or 6 even with really low signal ( ~97 to > 100 dBm) that doesn't fluctuate.

Mar 15, 2010I live in a poor reception area on the Rogers network. I've noticed that when I go into the basement the phone drops a signal pretty quickly. I am okay with this and is expected. My issue is when I get back on to the main floor, the phone does not pick up a signal again for a long time. Sometimes even toggling airplane mode doesn't work. My wife's iPhone does the same thing.
Anybody else having this problem?

Apr 19, 2012I JUST got this on Tuesday at night and today is the first time I'm set to run with it. I plug my headphones in and get ready to run (I sync with GPS and everything)... only to have music not work. Ok that's weird, I go to the FM radio and it says, "No Signal Connect headphones to listen to FM radio".
If I spin the headphone jack around it works once and then quits on me. I then can't get it working at all. If I power down or up I can hear EVERYTHING (beeps). That's without moving the headphone jack and after getting the error (that I can hear the beeps fine by leaving the moto on the table).
