My problem is that almost everytime I try to download a pdsf from the web I get a few bytes file of course not opening.; it doesn't matter which is the original size of the pdf, even is 100mb or more...It always says "download completed" after a second and I get my corrupted 1kb file. that's it. I'm using def browser and dolphin hd on a european WIFI+3G xoom with 3.1.
View 7 RepliesI accepted the new update and after the green android/gear loading completed, my XOOM went dark. Will not turn on, it had plenty of juice(and is still plugged in).

View 1 Replies View RelatedWe bought a Xoom to use on vacation instead of taking a laptop. I want to download photos and videos taken with my Canon Camera into my Xoom. I have the adapter for the Canon that allow me to convert the SDHD to a Micro SD, so that I can pop in ito the Xoom. I can view the photos fronm the Canon card on the Xoom, but it won't let me download them into the device. I don't want to have to go thru a computer to do this. So is it possible to download from the SD card onto the Xoom.
Also, when we watch the videos that were recorded on the Canon with the Xoom, they are at a slowed down speed. Would seem that if they were actually downloaded to the Xoom, it would take care of this issue.
I do not want to use the Xoom to take these photos. My Canon camera is the device we will use to capture the photos for multiple reasons.
So I am a total noob here, I purchased my XOOM 3 days ago and already I am totally frustrated and annoyed with Motorola and there customer service, or the lack there of. It's beyond me how a 6Sigma company who holds their suppliers to such strict standards can have so little regard for their customers and their level of satisfaction.With that off my chest, I wonder if any of you bright individuals can help me out. As I said I purchased my Xoom 3 days ago and after unpacking it I wanted to put my SD card in to retrieve some pictures and other files from my old tablet. I found the slot and removed the plastic piece and saw there was something written in it. It said "Replace with Micro SD only after Android system update". I thought that was odd but went ahead and started the update to 3.1. Well it has been downloading ever since and is now at a whopping 3%.
My Wi-Fi connection appears good and fast, I can download apps from the market in seconds and the web is quick.I started a service call regarding this; you can probably guess how that is going, even though they say, once you jump through all the hoops, that you will receive a reply within one business day. Apparently I am unfamiliar with what constitutes a 'business day'.
So i have on my phone the Sirius XM app cause I listen to Howard Stern all the time...I got the XFE wifi with 3.1 market (which is limited I know). But has anyone been able to download the siriusxm app on a tablet? When I search the market I can't find it...
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am unable to download, view or save zip attachments. I cannot do it in gmail or the stock email app using a pop account. There is no view, preview, download, or save button. There is only an "info" button in both the gmail and stock email apps. When I select "Info" it says this file cannot be downloaded or saved.
I have tried several different file managers including ES, Astro, AndroZip and All Downloads but still get the same result. All other attachments work fine
I used the XOOM stock browser, and went to a web site that provides a visitor to download a file from it's web page by clicking on the file's label. By doing so, there is an arrow downloading shown on my XOOM, but it failed afterward. I let it ran for a while and then it failed. I am not be able to download anything from any web sites.
Is there any way to get correct this problem? The work around that I did was to downloading the file to my PC (using Chrome browser), and then moved it to XOOM.
xoom: i have been unable to download apps from the market at all. they continue to download endlessly and never actually install. especially flash player.

1] I can't install ANY apps from the market place, free or paid (they download SOMETIMES, then just hang with thart green status bar that slides to the left)
2] I can't update ANYTHING (not even Google Maps!!!)
3] I can't install/update ANYTHING from the web version of the Market place
I am in London, UK using a password protected Work Wifi network
with version displayed, customer can know if it is updated

In fact, the portal has used the results of my fit test to set my HR zones.But, when I go to workouts on the MotoActv, I still see both excercises as not completed with a "!" next to them. There is no WIFI where I am that does not also need a PPPoE client to authenticate to the provider that offers Internet here. I am unable to make a WIFI connection on my Xoom due to no PPPoE client on the Xoom and it looks like there is no way to allow my Xoom to access the web via the USB cable I sync with on my PC. You can't share a PPPoE connection across WIFI on a PC so I'm cracking up.
How can I get software onto my Xoom, download the 3.1 update, etc? I can't use the SD card because I'm not updated to 3.1 (I have 3.01) and I can't use WIFI because the Xoom doesn't have PPPoE and the Xoom can't surf across my PC's USB connection to it.
Can anyone recommend an app that will allow me to show .ppt files diretly on the Xoom non-US model? I had an idea it was possible with an app included in US Xooms but not to us outside the USA.
