Will V9 Housing and Keypad flex cable work with V9X? I just bought a V9X. It is broken in half. I paid $46.00 Bucks for it and want to know if I can use a V9 OEM housing and V9 Flez Cable. I can find the V9 housing and cable easily but find nothing for V9X. If it is different does anyone know where I can find one for the V9X.

i don't know if this is configuration but i'm having trouble using my s11 headset with windows 8. after they are paired they disconnect when media starts playing - netflix, hulu, Internet - and not just via the browser, also using the netflix win8 app, for example.

Once in Awhile my headphone jack will not work and the only way to get it to work is to power cycle the phone, and it is not just with headphones it has also happened with an aux cable. I am 99% sure I did it correctly as it all works now, but the Galaxy S2 won't recognise my ThreeUK Sim anymore. It recognises others such as orange and t-mobile (It's Unlocked with Root). I put the old charger flex cable back in and it's working with my ThreeUK sim but it won't charge again so I want to know, does the charger flex cable change what sim cards it can read etc? I don't want to order cable to fix my phone before I know what to look for in it in case that has the same problems as the one I've ordered.

I hate faceplates so I was thinking about changing out the housing (maybe go from an all black G1 to an "oreo (black and white)" themed G1).The thing is, I've searched all over eBay for a housing but they're ALL from either China or Hong Kong.Plus, I've heard of people messing up their screens/the cam button won't work/reception gone bad/etc.My questions are:

I've considered taking the housing off and spray-painting it, but that sounds risky to me.
I bought a "new" nokia 6500 from ebay and when I received it I realized that there was a space from the keypad to the housing itself. when the keypad light is on you can see light from behind the keypad, I don't think this is an authentic nokia housing. I think the ebay shop switched the housing to a fake ebay housing. Is there any other way to tell if its a fake housing?
View 6 Replies View Relatedi was an ***** to attempt to do a housing upgrade by myself. anyway, i followed a Internet video on how to change your housing and i bought the housing off ebay so i was waiting until this week to change it got frustrated (nobody in my area has an expertise in blackberry) yes i'm quite the berry newb. so as i followed this vid: Internet - how to swap blackberry tour 9630 housing change disassembly flash and speakerphone 1 of 3. i did everything the guy said and everything was perfect. the red light came on which was a good indicator to me, but when it all finally loaded it became all screwy. my tour always has that device password lock you have to sign in before you can enter the main screen, anyway the password wouldn't go through until 3 times (i had to do it slowly) i assumed it was from the stiffness of the new keyboard/pad that wasn't all, my trackball seems like it was desensitized! i've been looking all over for info and Internet vids, but the trackball will only scroll one application over to the bottom or one to the right that's it! or if i scroll it to the right repeatedly, it will scroll downwards slowly. it won't scroll up or any other direction. even if i try to scroll in one direction it'll just keep scrolling down?also the reception bars on the top right corner of the screen is either really low (which it shouldn't because i never had an issue with the reception or trackball with the original oem housing) and theres a diagonal arrow that keeps blinking (when blackberry is trying to see can find a good reception, or that's what i presume)and the device lock keeps locking by itself. my phone like blackouts for a little bit and goes back to the device lock by itself?! i have to keep putting my password in but again the problem is either i'll get the incorrect password for a certain amount of times or just the trackball won't work . i have to press it really harder for it to "enter" on device lock.

View 1 Replies View RelatedRecently I damaged the rear housing on my HTC One M9, the damage to my knowledge was only external as all features of the phone still worked perfectly (including NFC). I ordered a replacement rear housing online from etradesupply. I am not sure if the replacement was genuine but I can say it was high quality and seemed legit.
I fitted the rear housing only touching the two screws at the top of the phone making sure I did not move and flex cables or antenna's.
For some reason the NFC has never worked since, I have tested on various different tags / payment readers and still no success.
I am thinking about purchasing the white housing and keyboard for my 8530. This is my 4th BlackBerry, but this will be the first time I will have done any customizing to one. I've looked all over for How-To help on changing the housing on this phone, and have not had any luck. Has anyone changed the housing on their 8530? And help would be greatly appreciated.

I didn't change the black part where the SIM and memory card etc. are held. I change the bezel, bottom cover, battery cover and keypad. I get 'SOS' often and it randomly says 'Searching for network', sometimes as soon as I try to send a text. I am on Orange UK and people have had problems in the past few days with them so I'm wondering if it was the housing that caused it?

Every other device I have (including other Motorola phones) have no trouble at all charging off the same cord. Given the existing battery issues with the Droid 3, a quick fix would be wonderful. Not sure if there is anything I can change in the settings to address this.This is not an issue of the device using more power than the cable provides, when I say it doesn't charge, I mean it doesn't charge at all. I knew that it did not come with the USB charger that plugs into the lighter socket, but that's OK because I have several of them. But I was surprised to see that the special Micro USB cable with the audio jack was not in the box.So is Verizon selling the car dock without the special cable that is shown in the instruction booklet? Or did I just get lucky and they forgot to put it in my box? I can't find a place to order that cable either from Verizon or direct from Motorola.
