I have an 8GB model and current firmware version is MA 1.7.10 N8. When I check the websites it says the latest firmware is 1.7.11 N8. When I connect to the system and check for latest software, motocast always report back saying there is not new files to update. May I know how to upgrade to the latest firmware?

When I try to download, the application stops responding and when I use the e-mail option, the application reports that the process was successfully completed, but I don't receive an e-mail. View 12 Replies View RelatedEver since upgrading the firmware on my Motoactv to MA 1.7.2 E8, I've had a problem with the Pedometer.I can't really say what it is doing on a general day to day basis, but when on the cross trainer at the gym it appears to be losing steps - however, it does appear to be counting them.For example, yesterday morning I went to the gym and as usual I set my Motoactv to Elliptical workout and put it in my pocket. When I started, my steps for the day were around 1700.Part way through my workout, I checked my Motoactv and it was showing over 4500 steps so it all seemed to be fine, and it was clearly registering my "steps" on the elliptical.When I stopped, after 1 hour 45 minutes, I checked my Motoactv and it was showing 1600 steps - less than I started with! According to prevoius workouts on the earlier firmware, I'd expect my steps to be approximately 14000-15000 higher than when I'd started after such a workout.All the stats in "Recent" were consistent with earlier workouts of a similar magnitude and time (i.e. distance, calories, avg/max stride rate). Also, if I look on the Motoactv website, I can see my strides being in excess of 14000.This is the second time I've noticed my steps being way off, though I don't always check my steps. However, I'm fairly certain it was working perfectly prior to the latest firmware upgrade. I definitely clocked more than 20000 steps during the day in the past, so if it is "rolling over" back to zero, it wasn't doing this in the past.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just bought an 8GB MOTOACTV yesterday in Hong Kong and the existing version of software is 1.7.3 A8. I tried to install MOTOCAST on 2 PCs (system: WinXP & Windows Vista) and both are upgraded to 2.0.31, but when I check the software update for MOTOACTV itself, the MOTOCAST told me no update for me for the timebeing.
The fact is there is 1.7.11 A8 out there and maybe 1.7.12 A8 as the guy introduced me to buy have the exact same device (only this version in same store) with Golf function on. Meanwhile, when the device connect to WiFi yesterday evening, I saw once the words of "Software Update Availabe, please connect the computer to update" shown on the device.
I was checking the portal today and noticed that the schedule section at the top of the page displays incorrect workout info - see screenshot attached.
I am sure that I have not exercised today (it is Sunday, duh) ... yet the schedule shows that I had an exercise today (see red dot on the schedule). So I checked the device and verified that there was no exercise today on the device. And when I clicked to check details on the portal, I saw last week's exercise data.
Why did I lose the ability to email photos when I "upgraded" to the latest Firmware? After I take a photo, I am offered options to send via Multimedia, Bluetooth or Post to Web. I used to be able to email too.

But the website says new version for the 16GB available: "Blur_Version.4.56.76.Motorola-F100.Retail.en.US"

I'm pretty sure my watch updated correctly (but I don't have it with me to verify as I write this), and the new pause sure seems identical to the old pause. There was a thread a while back where people discussed ways to reduce the likelihood of prematurely ending the workout by hitting the "end workout" touchscreen button, and cool things that could be made available at the pause screen. I saw "Improve "Pause" functionality during workouts" as one of the improvements with the latest software, and got excited that some or all of those suggestions had been implemented. I have pressed all buttons and swiped every which way and have not found any changes.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI fecently upgraded the firmware (as suggested by Nokia) on my E72. The firmware version is 031.023. Everything seems to be working fine except for the message alert tone. Ever since the upgrade was made, there's no more alert whenever a new SMS comes in. It's causing too much hassle since I have to look at my phone every so often.
I've tried reinstalling the firmware but the same problem occurs.I've tried changing the alert tones but to no avail.All other alerts except for the SMS works.

View 4 Replies View Relatedi have a htc one x and recently the phone updated its android firmware, as a result the user interface has changed and i do not like it, was wandering if you guys knew how i can reset the firmware to its condition few days prior to the update? its an awesome phone and liked the interface as it was. for example before the update on the main menu when you scroll through the three tabs All, Frequent and Downloads, you would see the tabs change in 3D now its not like that.
i've tried resetting it to factory condition but asides from losing all the contacts, apps and personal stuff, the interface is still the new one since the update.
