Discovered something annoying today - the touch screen doesn't respond when it gets even slightly cold. It's 46F here today and during my short run, the screen stopped responding to touch. After coming indoors for just a minute or so, it's working fine.I couldn't stop my workout right away, though, so my measurements are off - that's the annoying bit. Has anyone had similar issues?
View 6 RepliesI'm looking at getting a Garmin 410. I'm not familiar with the different versions of Garmin. I currently have the Motoactv. What can the Garmin do compared to the Motoactv. I know the Garmin doesn't play music and doesn't have a fancy touch screen.

However, when I access the app and manually refresh the weather is displayed and remains when I return to the home screen. Is this an issue without Android 2.2 or is the handset at fault? View 2 Replies View RelatedProblem Description I was in a middle of a workout with the MOTOACTV. It was connected wirelessly to my heart rate monitor. During the workout the UI became high latency and almost completely unresponsive. It would take 3 4 presses to the Power Key to get the device to wake up. When device did wake up, the CapTouch UI would not accept any swipe or touch gestures. I finally was able to power the device down hoping for a graceful reset. However I was concerned that I was never going to get to the point of getting to the power down screen. seen this issue on other Android devices and know that there are times when a battery pull is needed due to a deadlock or a process gone haywire.

I had talked to Motorola specialist over the phone and she provided me with a new charger. However, the problem still persists.
Yesterday, I used a Blackberry charger (with very close voltage and current output) and the phone worked fine.
I don't kwon what's happaned, but on unlock screen the touch panel doesn't work, it looks like a android crash. I tried to do the factory reset, but I did the sequence on manual and doesn't work.

So i then saw the alt+aA+del option this worked too temporarily so now i will take out the battery it will work for about five minutes and then you will not be able to use the touchscreen (everything else is fine)?

I've tried hard reseting my phone, but the thing is i've put on a lock code. So whenever i turn my cell on it asks for lock code which i can't input cause of the touch screen being down. View 24 Replies View RelatedCan Anybody please tell me why my MOTOACTV doesn't like to connect to GPS? My distances and times are WAY off. I would estimate that 30% of my runs have connected. I tried today, with a clear shot of the sky without a cloud to be seen and it wouldn't work. I wasn't moving and have the MOTOACTV on my arm. I waited for 2 full cycles while it tried to connect. I am sick of it. The time is set correctly on the unit to Daylight Central Time. It is giving me the correct time. The portal doesn't seem to have the option for a Daylight Central Time. It should still work. I am really getting fed up of the chats with support, only to be told I need to call and have it taken care of. I even told Matt about this a couple of weeks ago. I got no response from him. What is going on with this? When it works, it works well. If this wasn't a gift, I would return it and hope for a better outcome with a new one (no receipt).

Today i updated to belle refersh, now my tocuh screen doesnt register my touch in certain areas, i cant pull down the notification bar, cant scroll vertially (horizontal scroll works with jerks), the icon i click on doesnt get selected, but one above or on the side of it gets selected...pretty strange and annoying...what i did....removed memory card, restarted, checked...same thing...clean formatted the phone (without memory card...still doesnt work).

Also, my lock button hasn't worked in a few months, so I've been using Assistive Touch to lock and power down my phone. I was hoping to try to reset my phone (home+lock) and see if that worked the screen issue, but I can't find a way to power down. Any tips? Should I restore the phone with iTunes? Or is this the end of the line for my phone?
