May 2, 2012When I connect my phone to a wall charger (provided my Motorola), the touch screen responds rarely (slowly). As soon you disconnect the charger it works fine. I had talked to Motorola specialist over the phone and she provided me with a new charger. However, the problem still persists.
Yesterday, I used a Blackberry charger (with very close voltage and current output) and the phone worked fine.

Dec 26, 2011My Torch 9810 touch screen doesn't work properly anymore...it works each time the phone has just been freshly boot or when a battery pull has just been performed and stops afterwards until another battery pull or boot is done. is this some sort of software problem? Jun 24, 2015While i was at school my Nexus 5 is still working properly. Our class will be staring soon so I turned on my Nexus 5's screen to put it to silent mode and close some apps, but white horizontal lines suddenly keeps appearing and disappearing and will appear again (like it was Fluctuating) then i turned the screen off and turned it on again and the white lines stopped but when i tried to unlock it, the touch screen won't work. I did not drop it nor did it got wet. What caused it to do that? (NOTE: I did a hard reset, Factory Data reset doesn't work, and other buttons is still working properly)

Apr 10, 2015I don't know why, but my touchscreen no longer works. Buttons all work and the general function of the phone seems to be intact. I've been looking for a factory reset option using fastboot and I haven't found anything yet. Also tried to the "factory option in fastboot" in hopes it would completely reset my phone. I don't know if this is a software or hardware issue yet, but it's extremely aggravating.

Google Nexus 5 :: Screen Doesn't Function - How To Get Pictures Off Of Device
Jan 16, 2016 My nexus 5 is having screen issues and the screen basically doesn't function due to what I can only assume is a bad connection on the mainboard ( if I press in the right area with the back cover off the screen will flicker and work a tiny bit if I reboot the phone.) My issue is I still have tons of pictures that are very dear to me on the device and need to get them off of it.
When I connect it to my pc (windows 7) it connects and shows up as a nexus 5 device but nothing will appear in the folder. Im fairly certain I have the correct drivers installed as well. So how can I get it to connect properly with having basically no access to the screen?
Google Nexus 5 :: Why Doesn't Screen Turn On When Hit Power Button
Dec 31, 2014Hitting the power button does not turn the display on. Actually nothing turns the display on. This began happening occasionally, for a few seconds at a time. Then it became a few minutes at a time. Now it is permanent.
What's truly odd is that the phone seems to be completely working otherwise. It rings, alarms go off, indicator lights flash. It connects to my car over bluetooth and if I plug in headphones and hit the play headphones' action button, music starts. If I hold the power button down, every 5s I get a little haptic feedback, and it appears to reboot if I hold power and volume up (or down, I can't recall), so I know the buttons are working.
I even have a suspicion that touchscreen digitizer is working because I think I've dismissed a few notifications by double-tapping (I'm on Lollipop). Also, I swear I have seen very fleeting, very dim views of the unlock screen a few times.
I should also add that I took advantage of Google's recent replacement policy lenience - this is a refurb I've had for a month or two.
I'm contemplating replacing the screen/digitizer on the theory that this is a broken screen. It feels like the backlight is broken. But I'd rather not spend the $$$ and time if the problem is deeper than that.

Nov 14, 2015I noticed that when I play video through you tube and the ones that I receive on whatsapp didn't utilize the full screen of the Nexus 6.
There is a lot of black dead space in the videos taking away the advantage of the big screen. I see these videos occupying the full space of the iPhone 6 and 6 plus

Even stranger, I found out by accident while on a call to Motorola that if I use my finger nail it will work, just not smooth. I did not think a finger nail was supposed to work. Motorola told me to go to the Verizon store and see if any other device had the issue. Verizon said they could not connect to webtop and as expected the usb did not have any issues.Is this my phone only or are there any others with the same issue?I was thinking of getting a replacement, but they said I could only get a referb He told me a finger nail would not work, so I demoed it for him.He told me to wait for the Nov updates, but I don't see anything like this on the list.Is anyone using the Webtop travel adaptor with desktop PC. Jul 29, 2011Got My Defy 2 days back. Last night it rained heavily and I had to walk from my office to home. It was a 30-35 minute walk. I put my Defy in my pocket and started walking thinking its a water proof phone. When I reached home, first the phone's screen didn't respond to any touch. After a minute it went completely black and I could see heavy moisture under the glass. Only sensors were throwing some colored lights. I tried to call from my friend's phone on my number, and I could listen to the ringtone only. I could not pick up the call since there was nothing at all on screen. Today I put the phone in rice for around 8 hours still the condition is same. Its very unfortunate that I could use and explore my phone properly even for 2-3 days.

Aug 12, 2015I purchased a Samsung galaxy S6 on June 5th. On Sunday morning it was working fine. Sunday afternoon, I tried to use it and the screen will not recognize my touch. Everything works on the phone. The screen illuminates, it rings, I can talk on the phone through my car but I cannot do anything that involves using the screen. The back button will work but that is it. Unfortunately, I have a pin code security on the phone. I took it to Sprint and they had never seen this happen before on the this phone.
1. I have tried the reset, doesn't work.
2. How to get my data, like pics, off my phone considering I cannot unlock the phone because the screen doesn't respond?
