May 7, 2011Suddenly my phone is not showing any pictures, for my contacts, in my happenings, and in facebook. for example, all contacts look like the little grey manican, and when people change their profile pic in my happenings it will not load. I've tried removing the battery, uninstalling facebook and then re-installing - nothing. I've also done a factory data reset - nothing.

I want to:
1) eliminate the on/off sound and change it to vibrate
2) set up the apps (icons) I use the most in the first screen when the start key is pressed
3) set up a way to move data to the sd card and be able to see it quickly in the first screen selected after pressing the start key

May 16, 2011I recently had my arm twisted by my carrier to switch to a capped plan after years of pre-paid. With the deal came a lovely little QUENCH with MOTOBLUR MB501. I am enjoying the phone but as I am not an internet social networker I would love to remove the "Add a social network" widgets from my homescreen. As yet I have not been able to work out how to do so.

Aug 5, 2012Around a week ago when I turned my motorola quench on I found that a bunch of settings were reset including the passcode lock and my choice to use the swype keyboard. Although I was able to change those back easily enough, my home button since then does not work. In order to close an app, I now have to use the back button (which means losing my pages if I am in a web browser). The command for pressing the home button twice still works.

Dec 17, 2015There's supposedly a new thing in Marshmallow called System UI Tuner that allows you to alter what's in your status bar etc. I've updated to Marshmallow today but I can't get this setting to activate. You supposedly have to hold your finger on the settings cog in the drop down notification menu for a few seconds and then the system ui tuner is supposed to appear as a new menu in the main settings menu (much like developer options appears when you activate that). But it doesn't work. I thought maybe it was just something that was in the early developers versions of Marshmallow and maybe it got shelved in the end, but after doing a Google search I find that it's still supposed to be there and working in the final release.

Dec 12, 2015I've noticed that the "System UI Tuner" options I select don't necessarily appear in the drop-down quick access functions. For example, the "Invert colors" options is set in the settings but doesn't appear in the drop down (double down-swipe or two-finder down-swipe). Is there something I'm missing with how to activate this? I long-pressed on the settings gear icon and activated the wrench icon next to it.

Sep 16, 2015Says I have 10 GB left but I'm getting a notification saying "Not Enough Storage Space for System" and another notification saying "Storage Space Running Out". This is causing super slow boot up, terrible battery life, the back of the phone is hot, email not syncing, laggy everything. I tried a cache wipe and cleaning files using All-in-one toolbox. Phone died and this is what happened when I tried booting up after a charge. Any way before a factory reset?

I would like to use the built-in dictionary in order to translate from and to Chinese.Or, more generally, I'd like to read Chinese text, e.g. on web sites.However, the phone is unable to display Chinese characters; all I see are little rectangles instead of the characters.I assume there is a Chinese firmware somewhere. Can I replace the original firmware by a Chinese version? If so, how do I do it?Is there another way to display/write Chinese characters?

Nov 6, 2015The android system (6.0) update notification came on my phone yesterday (Moto X Pure 2015). Since I couldn't connect to a WiFi where I was, I decided to switch to my cellular data. But as soon as I did that the notification disappeared. I tried finding it on my phone settings, where you go to settings-->about phone-->system updates. It says my device it upto date. How can I retrieve the notification? I was waiting for my android OS update for a month and then this happened.

Moto X Pure :: APN Settings - Unable To Change MVNO Type
Dec 19, 2015I have Straight Talk, and need to adjust my APN settings so I'll get high speed data. I know what the correct settings are.
The problem is that I need to change MVNO type and MVNO value, but they're both grayed out, so I'm unable to tap on them to change them. MVNO type is grayed out and set to GID and MVNO value is grayed out and set to deff. I need to change them both to 'not set'.
I called Motorola, they were useless- kept telling me to make sure cellular data was enabled. I looked at my old phone (a Nexus 5) and MVNO type isn't grayed out on it.

Changing font in "Settings > Display > Font Style" will change all UI elements, maybe there is one way to add my own font file into that list?

Jan 13, 2015My wife and I both have s5. Mine, no volume change when connecting via bluetooth. But on her's It presents a Volume changed:headset Plugged/unplugged dialogue on the bottom of the screen and turns down system volume. Which is quite annoying and this thing doesn't need with decreasing volume.
Is there a setting somewhere Im missing to shut this off?
I cant figure it out. My phone does not do this, checked with numerous bluetooth devices, mine never does it and heres does.
