I can't seem to get my ringtones for notifications to work properly. I have it set as the mario 1-up sound but whenever someone texts me, I hear the Mario 1-up sound plus a song from my playlist. I can't seem to change that. It's been doing this for a few days now and I can't figure out why.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just bought a Milestone 3 in Hong Kong. I found that it doesn't not work with the 3G, but only the 2G for normal phone conversation and SMS text.
I had tried other SIM cards of other service providers, but it does not show any luck as well.
All the settings including APN have been verified with the staff in my phone service provider. The only reply was that the phone itself may not be able to acknowledge the APN settings.
I know this is a Droid X issue as well. Whenever I un-mount my Droid 3 from my Mac Powerbook G4 all preset ringtones & notifications are reset to random ringtones/songs/notifications. I have to manually reset all my ringtones and notifications back to the sounds I want. It seems when the SD-cards are mounted in Mass Storage Mode, the info on the SD-cards is no longer available to the phone so it reassigns the ringtones and notifications. Once the SD-cards are re-mounted on phone the pre-set ringtones and notifications are no longer set. Unless there is a fix, I am looking to maybe root the phone and copy all my ringtones and notification tones to the system's media folder so they are permanently available to the phone.

View 5 Replies View RelatedSince I got the phone the face detection has never worked, I thought this might just be a rpoblem with the software so wasnt really bothered however looking on various fourms I cant see that anyone else has had this problem. however when i try the update software says im as up to date as I can be however im only on version 2.2.2 whereas the update site clrealy says there is 2.4.24 availible.
View 1 Replies View Related- What happened: Wifi and bluetooth does not turn on and off as expected, in addition, the system as a whole is extremely slow and consuming a lot of battery.
- What you think the correct behavior Should Be: on and off wifi and bluetooth normally.
When I try to enable wifi for example, he is trying but can not [URL]. The bluetooth, the same. When I enter and leave the airplane mode, without attempting to enable the wifi, the device works normally, without delays or excessive consumption of battery, just try to activate the wifi to stay as shown in the video.
I've tried:
- Enter and exit the aircraft;
- Caches to clear the Open Recovery;
- Change a few lines of / etc / wifi / tiwlan.ini;
- Fix errors with the FXR WiFi fix and rescue (http://goo.gl/glw2c);
- Remove the battery and wait about 1 hour;
- Rm -rf/data/misc/wifi and reboot for clearing wifi settings.
None of it worked. Attached bugreport and Screenshots
My Droid X2 seems to randomly change the tones I have set for contact specific rings, the default ringtone and notifications. I have done 2 factory resets and it keeps doing this. Is it a setting I am messing up or is it something wrong with my phone?

View 3 Replies View Relatedis there anything i can do to improve flash video playback? after the 2.2 update i was excited to be able to use flash on my phone, but video playback on it seems so bad that it's unwatchable.it's like a slideshow at best, and at worse i'm only getting one frame every thirty seconds or so. oddly enough the sound never skips or stutters at all.i've tried it over wifi and 3g. Internet videos in the native app and other non-flash streaming media seem to work perfectly.i'm using the stock browser with flash player 10.2.157.51 (the latest one available in the android market), and i've tried several different videos linked from m.flash.com
View 4 Replies View RelatedI updated my Milestone which is UAE version to Froyo yesterday after a long delay, was really excited all evening until i discovered two problems with my wifi.The Device does not connect to the corporate network as my office uses 802.1x EAP and there is no place to enter proxy where as my friends using samsung galaxy s (Froyo 2.2) connect to the network and browse using the wifi advanced settings to enter the proxy in their device.

But after some minute It restart with a blank screen then reboot to OS and MSU says update failed. My last resort is to flash it via RSDLITE but when im trying to get into bootloader it shows blank screen then reboot to OS. I cant enter to my bootloader.

I downloaded 3 of the free android market apps for the SMS backup, SMS backup +, backup to gmail, etc.I do see a folder created in my gmail but when i click on the actual thread of each SMS message, it only backs up what I sent -- NOT THE ENTIRE THREAD. View 2 Replies View RelatedHave a brand new install of Windows 7 64bit and a 6 month old Milestone 2 which has always succesfully connected to PC/Mac in USB mass storage mode, but when trying to connect to new Windows & PC the PC tries to install MTP drivers that fail.Solution is to select the failed device in device manager and manually install the driver selecting the device as a USB mass storage device and not the default MTP device.

I last week sent my phone to the service center to ask them to update it to 2.2, they returned the phone saying it is up to date.I am sick of removing applications and always worrying about the remaining ROM availability. I updated my N97, and after that my phone did not work properly, the old version was 2.0 and the new is 2.1, the charging light did not work and i get black screen when i turn my phone on.

Sound Picker, Zedge etc.
But the last time I changed a notification sound I mistakenly hit the Always button after picking Sound Picker and now all that I can pick from is Sound Picker.
I had custom sounds for my Ringtone and Notifications and over the weekend they just disappeared. The files are still saved in the same directories, but when I go into Setting to change the sound, my custom sounds do not appear any more.

2nd problem: I also have to save my friends' numbers twice under mobil and iphone once with 0 and once with +49 because otherwise it just shows their number instead of the name i have saved in my phone.
