I just bought a Milestone 3 in Hong Kong. I found that it doesn't not work with the 3G, but only the 2G for normal phone conversation and SMS text.
I had tried other SIM cards of other service providers, but it does not show any luck as well.
All the settings including APN have been verified with the staff in my phone service provider. The only reply was that the phone itself may not be able to acknowledge the APN settings.
My Milestone's backspace button sometimes doesn't work and sometimes neither does the charging port (doesn't recognize it should be charging?).I'm going to exchange it tomorrow but wanted to know if anyone else had such issues?
View 13 Replies View RelatedI took a road trip last week and weekend and noticed that when under heavy use, my milestone will discharge even when plugged into the charger. From a functional standpoint, my milestone did great. I listened to an entire baseball game steamed with the MLB app over ATTs (mostly 3G) network. (Several places in S GA on I75 dont have 3G but the streaming app did pretty well over EDGE). I also use Google Nav and had my screen on since it was sitting on my car dock. After 4-5 hours of use my milestone was pretty warm and had quite a bit less battery life even though it was on the charger the entire time. I am guessing the GPS is a huge power draw, but what about having the screen on all the time. I would think that as long as the device is plugged into a power source, it should be good to go.

View 5 Replies View RelatedSince I got the phone the face detection has never worked, I thought this might just be a rpoblem with the software so wasnt really bothered however looking on various fourms I cant see that anyone else has had this problem. however when i try the update software says im as up to date as I can be however im only on version 2.2.2 whereas the update site clrealy says there is 2.4.24 availible.

- What you think the correct behavior Should Be: on and off wifi and bluetooth normally.
When I try to enable wifi for example, he is trying but can not [URL]. The bluetooth, the same. When I enter and leave the airplane mode, without attempting to enable the wifi, the device works normally, without delays or excessive consumption of battery, just try to activate the wifi to stay as shown in the video.
I've tried:
- Enter and exit the aircraft;
- Caches to clear the Open Recovery;
- Change a few lines of / etc / wifi / tiwlan.ini;
- Fix errors with the FXR WiFi fix and rescue (http://goo.gl/glw2c);
- Remove the battery and wait about 1 hour;
- Rm -rf/data/misc/wifi and reboot for clearing wifi settings.

View 3 Replies View Relatedis there anything i can do to improve flash video playback? after the 2.2 update i was excited to be able to use flash on my phone, but video playback on it seems so bad that it's unwatchable.it's like a slideshow at best, and at worse i'm only getting one frame every thirty seconds or so. oddly enough the sound never skips or stutters at all.i've tried it over wifi and 3g. Internet videos in the native app and other non-flash streaming media seem to work perfectly.i'm using the stock browser with flash player 10.2.157.51 (the latest one available in the android market), and i've tried several different videos linked from m.flash.com
View 4 Replies View RelatedI updated my Milestone which is UAE version to Froyo yesterday after a long delay, was really excited all evening until i discovered two problems with my wifi.The Device does not connect to the corporate network as my office uses 802.1x EAP and there is no place to enter proxy where as my friends using samsung galaxy s (Froyo 2.2) connect to the network and browse using the wifi advanced settings to enter the proxy in their device.

But after some minute It restart with a blank screen then reboot to OS and MSU says update failed. My last resort is to flash it via RSDLITE but when im trying to get into bootloader it shows blank screen then reboot to OS. I cant enter to my bootloader.

View 2 Replies View RelatedHave a brand new install of Windows 7 64bit and a 6 month old Milestone 2 which has always succesfully connected to PC/Mac in USB mass storage mode, but when trying to connect to new Windows & PC the PC tries to install MTP drivers that fail.Solution is to select the failed device in device manager and manually install the driver selecting the device as a USB mass storage device and not the default MTP device.

View 4 Replies View RelatedA couple of times when I called my voice mail and listened to my messages, I would press end call to end the call and nothing would happen. Well actually, the phone would be, but it wouldn't end the call. Eventually, the voice mail system gave me the boot.
In addition, I had a couple other calls from friends and when they hung up, I pressed end call. Again nothing happened. Eventually the phone ended the call.
I tried calling my voice mail just now and the end call button seemed to work.
I lost my Mp3 and now i have to use my phone temperarily for music but every time i click on the music app it sends me to the home page?

View 1 Replies View RelatedThe only time I was successful in getting WIFI to work was connecting to the OPEN connection at a Lexus Dealership. I've tried numerous times to connect to my home wireless network without success. It shows connected, but there is absolutely no Intenet. This is inexcusable for such a prominent technology company as Motorola! In my view, I believe that Motorola has omitted the WEP key or WPA key in their WIFI set-up. Does anyone else agree to that assessment? I have an electronic engineering degree and have been involved with technology since I was in high school and I would think that Motorola would answer this problem with a software update. I am sure it affects all of their smartphones with supposed WIFI capability. Other than the WIFI issue it is a great smartphone even without 4G!
View 13 Replies View RelatedSince I bought my Photon earlier this week, I immediately noticed that the indicator light didn't, well, indicate. Anything, ever, at all. It didn't even light up when charging. I know this is not a burned-out LED because I've installed an app which fixes most of the problems, the app is called Light Flow. Its only limitations on the Photon are that it can't light the indicator for battery charge events/status, and it may not be able to show all the colors, but I do have it working for missed call/text, email, bluetooth on, etc. The issue is, I shouldn't need an app to do this and I want the indicator LED to show battery charge status.

It doesn't seem to properly work with background sync. I have an action set up so that when I plug it in to charge my phone, it is supposed to turn background sync and wifi on. The wifi comes on, but the sync does not. I have to manually turn it on.
