Anybody having problems with mp3 playback skipping cutting out etc? All are stored on a 8gb micro SD card and not in the phone. All these files played perfectly on my old blackberry curve 8530. I use my phone as mp3 player so would like this resolved. The skipping/cutting out isn't bad but very noticeable when listening with ear buds.

Searching online has not been much more productive. The methods I've seen in independent forums don't work for me.

I check my google calendar which is syncing fine and see all of my past appointements, however they are gone from the phone. Additionally, even though my google calendar is scheduled out for the entire year, my phone calendar stops at December 15th, 2012.

View 2 Replies View RelatedIam a Uscc agent and I have a customer with the electrify and their phone is dying within a couple of hours and only sending a couple of text messages and making one phone call I have given a battery swap and checked the phone for any bad apps but there were no additional applications installed and settings do not seem out of place and compared it to mine that I have abd everything matches and mine lasts me an entire day of heavy use. I am just wondering if there is anything else that could be draining the battery or a way to fix it?

Needless to say, the piano app that I use.( for jotting down quick ideas, I am a music director at my church and a songwriter) is nearly unusable because piano often uses more than two fingers. I know that the hacking community has been able to enable up to 8 points if multitouch. Is this going to be enabled for this phone? I would hate to get rid of it since I love everything else about it, and have no problems at all with any functionality. ( aside from that whole pesky multitouch thing).

View 8 Replies View RelatedI'm just getting used to my new droid 3, and learning all of the quirks that come with it. In the past, I used my old Droid Eris to listen to Pandora over 3G wireless at work, and never had any issue with Pandora cutting out or stopping even when the phone's display went to sleep. However, on my new Droid 3, it cuts out like clockwork after about 20 minutes, whether or not the display is active or asleep. In order to try to keep this from happening I have changed the Battery mode to performance, turned off data saver (no sense running it streaming music ) and in Pandora turned auto shutoff to Never, and have tried Auto lock both on and off. I am thinking that the built in task manager may be killing it?

I get a few words in then it cuts out and I have to ring again and it does the same thing. This is the first smartphone I bought. Previously I used a bog standard Nokia. Very reliable. No problems. Clear calls. Never cut-out. Now I pay 20 times as much for a "smart" phone and the most basic and important job - making calls - it has trouble with.

This thing that annoys me the most is the software doesen't correct for gps loss. it just reads as I wasn't moving for a set amount of time. If I were to add a footpod for running...or speed/cadence for riding...would the software average the movements over time---or still cut out (record as not moving) as it does when I lose GPS signal when in heavily covered areas?

View 14 Replies View RelatedEvery since the jellybean update I've had nothing but problems. The device is always running slow, it is not smooth like butter there is a lag. And when I'm listening to music its cuts in and out as if it were a scratched cd. I've tried doing a factory restore and it didn't help. That's what Verizon suggested and it didn't work. Also Verizon's fix to everything is to send out a certified refurbished phone and I don't want that. I bought my phone brand new and I know nothings happened to my phone I don't want to a phone I know nothing about. Also I've noticed that not one of all the call recording apps work on the droid razr hd.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI use my D3 to listen to music. I have the mp3s stored on a memory card in my phone. I have music version v4.1.513. Before the update the music played fine. After the update the music will skip/click when ever my cell or data signal changes. I work in a very low / no cell signal lab so the phone is continuously losing signal and getting it back. This cause the music to skip/click every time. Not related to the update my phone still does not like to play music over bluetooth and do navigation at the same time. I have the phone linked to my car radio for navigation and I listen to music from the phone. It will reboot after about 15 minutes of use.

It's random, which eliminates the possibility of a bad file or corruption during the sync, and seems worse when the 4g function is turned on. Interestingly, the Photon is advertised as having 1GB of RAM, but the most I ever have available is 440MB.

I run 25 to 30 miles a week and the music player is really getting annoying! I've tried 4 different sets of headphones and it's definitely not the headphones themselves maybe something internal. Also on my second phone here. The first one started randomly resetting itself, also had skipping issues. This one only has the skipping issues so far.

Using it on Verizon's 4g network, and have discovered a really annoying issue: When playing audio across a bluetooth connection (either to a droid roadster or my 2012 chevy sonic), there are occasional skips in the music. This happens about once every 4-6 seconds, and the cutout is brief, about 1/8th of a second. It does not happen for phone calls, nor do the skips happen if I disable bluetooth and listen via the built in speaker or the headphone jack.
Wifi is disabled, and the source of the audio doesn't seem to matter. I've tried Pandora, Tune-in radio, and locally saved music, same result. It's not the network, as I just upgraded from a Samsung Droid Charge (also a 4g phone) which does not have this issue. I've unpaired from all sources, and re-paired, rebooted the phone, tried while charging / not charging, enabling gps / disabling gps, everything I can think of to isolate the issue. This phone is my in-car entertainment device, and if I can't use it for it's intended purpose, it's useless to me.
On day two of owning my X2 I got a error when it tried to read the external SD card. I called Verizon and they had me format it on my laptop. I did this and then reloaded my 4 gig of music back to it. Yesterday evening it did it again and now Verizon is sending me a new card. In the mean time I am using a 1 gig card that I had left over from my Storm. The first thing I noticed is when I transfered the music from my laptop to the 1 gig sd card via a card reader the transfer rate was near 6 meg. When I transfered my music to the card that is bad the transfer rate never got about 2.5 meg. I now notice after listening to music for the last 4 hours at work it never skipped at all. I had very frequent skipping with the original card. Another thing I noticed is the phone doesn't lag at all when I am listening to music.
View 12 Replies View RelatedYou Version and Audio KJV offline audio apps are skipping to next chapter before completing current chapter. Both apps worked fine on Razr Maxx Hd,. Tried task killer to see what may be the trigger. Tried clearing app cache and data, disabling Moto display options. Uninstalling other apps that update like facebook or weather bug.. I haven't been able to pinpoint the cause. When listening to app audio after each chapter is complete the next chapter is announced. I've noticed the next chapter being announced before the current chapter is complete but the current chapter continues without ending prematurely and sometimes it will end prematurely and start a new chapter. Its as if there are two streams from the same app competing for the channel?

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy Xoom experienced two odd issues once the latest update was applied. Status shows Android version 3.2.1 and Kernel version 2.6.36.3-g111d827 andriod-build@apa28 #1, Build # HTK75D (sorry, that doesn't mean much to me...) This is a WiFi only model.
Issue #1: Whenever I playback a video, the video pauses every 55-60 seconds. Doesn't matter if I'm using a 3rd party player, Netflix, or the built-in Gallery player. Every time, any video. There are videos on the main memory, the SD card and even streming- all the same result. I have also noticed a number of games pause as well.
Issue #2: Opening links doesn't work. When I try to click on a link in Tweecaster Pro (for example) it would normally ask which browser I wanted to complete the action with. But now all I get is a pause and dimmed screen. Another touch of the sceen and I'm back to where I started. This happens with several different programs- not just browsers.
I understand ICS is coming, and have heard there is a 3.2.2 version available, but none show up when I check for updates.
I recently got a droid x and usually when i play music the phone will crash. and reboot.Is myphone broke (this never happened on my moto droid). Im asking because i have a few days left to return my device and listening to music is something i use myphone for quite often.

View 10 Replies View RelatedAs I'm listening to music, during the song I'm listening to, another song will start playing, cutting off the original song that was playing. The song that cuts in always cuts in somewhere which isn't the beginning for that song. Then, after anywhere from a few seconds to a minute or so, the original song goes back to playing where it had been interrupted from.For example:
(Song 1 starts in playing as I'd expect, from the start, goes along for a minute or two)
(Song 2 now kicks in, (which stops Song 1), somewhere in the middle of the song, then plays for a random amount of time)
(Song 1 now resumes (and Song 2 stops) at the place it was cut off by Song 2)
I've got a 32GB SD card, loaded with about 15gb of music from my libary. I have tried different music players, such as the stock music player, google music, PowerAmp and MixZing. Problem happens with all of them. I can get about three or four songs into a listening session before this happens. Doesn't matter if I'm listening to all songs randomly shuffled, or an album in order.All the songs that have issues with playback on the phone playback fine on my laptop, whether I use iTunes, Google Music, or doubletwist.
